OUT NOW: Disney Mirrorverse Launched Worldwide Today!

Today Disney Mirrorverse officially launched worldwide! The highly anticipated mobile game introduces a new universe online! You can see Disney and Pixar characters like you’ve never seen them before. This includes Ariel, the newest character to enter the Mirrorverse!

In the Mirrorverse, Ariel is the Royal Champion of Atlantica and is known for her inner strength and adaptability. She never loses her focus as protector of the oceans and inspirer of all the world’s creatures!

All of these had formerly shown “Temporarily Unavailable” since the parks reopened, and now they have disappeared, which seems to indicate these are now officially and permanently closed.

Ones that have been noticed so far include:
Citizens of Main Street
Citizens of Hollywood
Jedi Training Academy
Star Wars Galactic Spectacular
Voyage of the Little Mermaid
Swotu Waya (Pandora Drummers)
Pandora Rangers

All will be missed if true ... but the top three are really big losses in my opinion. Especially the Jedi Training Academy which was wildly popular

Anyone know if you can still make a payment online for a room-only reservation or do I have to call?

Citizens on Hollywood & Main Street were already being phased out pre pandemic unfortunately…

I kind of expected that Little Mermaid was going to close since the physical queue was removed. I have fond memories of it as a kid but I'm excited to see a new show in HS (if they'll put anything in that space anyway. Disney could very well leave that theater to rot like Stitch's Great Escape).

That Little Mermaid show is one of my all-time favorites! When I was younger we had gone to Disney right when MGM opened (I had been once before with my dad, but this time my mom and stepdad took us). I was about 13 and at that age where The Little Mermaid wasn't that appealing to me (I know, teenagers just have something wrong with them). Anyway, they all wanted to watch this show in the evening so, okay, whatever. Man, did I love it! The lasers on the mist, the blacklight puppets - I was blown away! I didn't really have much experience with high-end theme-parkery at the time, and I was astonished. I also fell in love with The Little Mermaid! I know that show probably isn't coming back, and I can usually roll with the changes, but that one is quite special to me.

i LOVE that more entertainment is coming back to Animal Kingdom!!! I found out in 2020 that the live entertainment makes that park. Yes they have a few of the heavy hitters for rides and shows, but those street performers are the entire energy of the park. In 2019 we had 2 days where we were at AK open until close just because we kept running into shows and performers and we got sidetracked and forgot to eat or ride rides lol. I LOVE it!

Really hoping that Star Wars Galactic Spectacular will come back, it was one of my favorite nighttime shows...

I agree. I remember loving the show as a kid despite never watching the original film (I only knew of the TV show and the sequels - no I don't know why my parents only showed me those LOL). It very much reminds me of the old school MGM era of the park that I miss a little bit despite the new additions being good. I remember seeing a rumor that the reason this show closed was because the water effects created mold in the theater but that's just a rumor so unsure if that's even true. If it's gone for good, I hope the replacement show is just as fun.

I mean, it happens and change comes along - it's okay as long as something equally good is put in. I will say, that mist also made it a great place to cool down a bit!

Heartbroken about CoH. That was one of our faves. My daughter could and would spend hours watching them and joining in on their games. She was hitting that anti picture phase last trip (or more so anti me taking so many pics) but she asked me to specifically take pics of her with the citizens. She posed with them and all. They actually came down to the HBD lounge to tease her when we were eating. She loved it.

I don’t get why they don’t just revamp the show. Little mermaid is still very popular.
