Can anyone make some recommendations on buying music heard in the parks now that I've returned? What CD titles were your favorites and which ones didn't you care for?

Where can you buy the CDs? I'm most interested in instrumental WISHES music for myself and then the classics for my son.

Outisde the parks, WDW CDs are didiculously expensive. I know Main Street Megastore.com and Laughing Place.com have a few but they're about $30-40! I think you might be able to call WDW merchendising and maybe order CDs from them. Wish I could help you more but that's all I can think of. Hopefully someone else will know more than I do.

BUMPing up because I am interested in this too!

I would also recommend checking www.amazon.com and calling Disney Merchandising directly (I don't have the number in front of me, but I'm sure someone on the DIS has it for you).

I recommend the following:
1. Walt Disney World Resort in Florida
2. Illuminations/Tapestry of Dreams Soundtrack
3. Music From Disney's Animal Kingdom Park Soundtrack
4. Ragtime at the Magic Kingdom
5. Fantasmic! Good Clashes with Evil in a Nighttime Spectacular Soundtrack
6. Magic in the Streets: Disney Parade Memories

Enjoy!

I have the #, here it is (407) 363-6200

Have you ever tried Mousesavers.com? This is the best place I have found for music/movies/books/general info.

Just go to the website, then click on movies/music on the left side.

Lots of information.

Also, some of the Best of Disney CDs include songs from the parks. I know we have CDs with the music from Pirates of the Caribbean, Main Street Electrical Parade and Enchanted Tiki Room.

If you call Disney merch ask for "The Official Album of WDW". It has a bunch of attraction music that evokes the feeling of WDW.
Also, if you enjoy instrumentals, try Instrumental Impressions or Just The Music. They have some nice versions of Disney classics(these would be more for adults).

I have 3 favorites. The music from Illuminations, Walt Disney World Resort Celebrating 100 Years of Magic and the music from Animal Kingdom. I purchased all of mine at Disney World but I am almost sure that you get them at any Disney Store. If it isn't carried in the store they can give you the number for Disney Merchandise and you can call and order right from them as long as you know what cds you are looking for. :wave2:

Almost forgot, I also have Mannheim Steamroller Meets The Mouse. I bought this cd 3 or 4 years ago at WDW too, but I know that you can purchase it at most music stores. :wave2:

One more thought: The WDW Park cds are not at the Disney store or at other music stores(with the odd exception). You're going to have to go through WDW merch, or buy them at WDW or DLR. There are Disney music cds in lots of places(probably even Wal-mart) but the parades, the Official Album, et al are not generally available outside of the parks(or on-line at exhorbitant prices).
