For those who have bought these before-- how are they delivered to you? Do they come in the mail or do they have it waiting on you when you get to your resort? Also, do they send you a list of where you CAN use it?

This sounds new. I did a search but couldn't find any more info. Has anyone purchased this? I just called WDTC but cm had no idea what I was talking about. Gave me a phone # of the Theme Parks merchandise. I didn't call. Sounds like a dead end. Hoping for this email.

I got this for our trip this past January. You'll be surprised how quickly stuff adds up. You can use it for some food items, such as Goofy's Candy Co or Main St Confectionary. Had no trouble at World Showcase either, but read the restrictions carefully. Even used it to buy tylenol at the Baby Care Center. Lost it though at the $30 balance mark, it fell out of my lanyard, so be careful about that too. I thought it was a good deal.

When you used it at World Showcase, was it for food items or in the gift shops? Thanks:goodvibes

I just got an e-mail that is really unbelievable. It says that I can get a $500 disney merchandise credit for $395. It covers only merchandise, not room or food. If we were going to spend that much on souvenirs, that would be an awesome deal. It is just the two of us and we already have so much Disney junk that we really don't need anymore--especially not $500 worth. Did anyone else get this?

ooo...i want tht email...lol...but tht does sound like a really good deal for Disney. You could probably get a lot of merchandise for that! :)

It sounds like there are alot of exceptions though. It doesn't sound like you can use it at BBB or Pirate League. It also doesn't sound like you can use it for the GF Pirate Adventure. It also isn't accepted at a bunch of stores at DTD like Lego which is one of our main stops while we are there. I don't think that if you take out all of the above we would be spending so much. :confused3

Hmmm... I was thinking it sounded like the birthday fun card, merchandise, but not food.... but the birthday fun card can be used at BBB and I am assuming Pirate League.

I'd love to get this. We buy each family member one pin per day, and there are now five of us... and we'll be staying ten nights at WDW this December. so right off the bat, that's roughly $500 I *know* I'll be spending, plus shirts, caps, keychains, stuffed animals, etc. I could see the $1k deal, easily!

Hmmm., I was hoping to use it for sunrise safari, illuminations cruise and "drinks around the world", but I doubt those are included:sad2:

It would be great if they would let us use it for Pirate League, but the exceptions so no personal services such as hair braiding or face painting. Is BBB or Pirate League included in that? It would be great if it wasn't. It also said no tours so I would think that would mean no pirate adventures. But as with anything Disney, it is as clear as mud. The exceptions also say you can't pay for your hotel room, but could you just have everything charged back to your room and then apply the card to your account. I also think you could call and ask but would get a different answer depending on which CM you spoke to.

Maybe someone can report back what their experience was...If you can use it for Pirate League, then for us it would be a great deal!!

To those of you who recieved the pin code, did you already have a discount/pin applied to your wdw package? Or were you paying full price for everything?

I got the card last December. I will try to answer some of the questions based on my experience.

You get the card when you check in. It isn't a regular gift card. It is a "merchandise credit" card. It is yellow. You can't use it to pay off your room charges. It can't be used at dining areas but can be used for food in gift shops. I think it can be used to BBB. I kind of remember the CM on the phone going through a speal about the do's and don't's of the card. I think she said it could be used there. Certain places in the World Showcase didn't accept it. I wanted to get something from Arribass Brothers and had a difficult time using it. Downtown Disney Arribass Brothers store didn't take it. I thought one of the little locations in the World Showcase might take it but they couldn't.

I tried to call reservations & gift card hotline. I was on hold too long w/ reservations & hung-up. Gift card hotline said there was no one available at that time to take my call & disconnected me.

Fat chance I'll get that email pin since we don't have a trip planned until Dec. & it's not a pacjage through Disney Destinations, but a DVC trip.

The Sunrise Safari is charged to your credit card automatically the morning of.

I don't think we'll ever spend that much. We bought anything we wanted on our honeymoon (including one of those hand drawn pictures in the special frame ($125ish). And we still didn't go over $300.
