Do you think this is a good option for a family of 5, with 3 young children. 8, 6, and 3.
Which room do you like best and why?

We have 8032 booked for our first cruise in November on the Disney Magic. One thing we really liked was that, in that room, the Murphy Bed is located in the living room instead of the bedroom. So, it provides a little bit of privacy for the grownups. We also felt like the sideways layout was a nice perk with an extra long verandah because of this. And, the two bathrooms are huge pluses too. The jury is out until we actually get to stay in the room, but it seems perfect.
I think you will love it. They are my favorite rooms on the classic ships.
Fully agree.it could be a great choice for you. There is A LOT of space. You would have the sofa bed for 2 kids and the Murphy bed for the third. There are 2 full bathrooms and the master bath has a full-sized bathtub.
We are big fans of the "sideways" 1 bedrooms (8532, 8534, 8032, 8034). I feel like the sideways layout gives more usable space in the living/dining room area, plus you have the enormous triple-wide verandah.

We'll be sailing on the Magic for the first time later this year and picked 8032 for the same reasons.

We have 8032 booked on the Wonder this October also (for the same reasons). It will be our first time in Concierge (20th Anniversary splurge) and we decided if we were going to book a 1-bedroom, it needed to be one of the sideways ones![]()

Happy early anniversary! Way to celebrate it in style!
Make sure to let Shoreside Concierge know that you are celebrating such an important occasion. I am sure you will find lots and lots of special surprises from your Concierge Host.
I am wondering if I will ever want to go to a regular room after having this one.
Have fun! We are splurging as well, but I am wondering if I will ever want to go to a regular room after having this one. Two bathrooms for all of us is such a nice thing all by itself. Congrats!
That's the problem. You get SO spoiled by traveling concierge...the pre-cruise assistance from Shoreside Concierge, the ability to be assured you will get virtually whatever you want including cabanas, the extra space in the room, the special gatherings and gifts and surprises during the cruise, and so on. And don't even get me started on the Concierge Lounge on the Dream and Fantasy. We can't conceive of traveling non-concierge now.
When the rates came out for the 12-night Med for next year ($34,000 for two people in the 1-bedroom), we were crestfallen. We couldn't justify that expense for one trip, especially since we'd still have to pay for airfare and pre-cruise hotel, but we also didn't want to go non-concierge, especially since it would mean not having all that extra room, which on a long voyage we would consider essential. So we opted for the 7-night Med on Disney next summer and plans to cruise the central and eastern Mediterranean on another cruise line later.
I saw those crazy prices too, and it kind of ruined our ideas of the Alaska cruise in concierge next year, although we haven't totally ruled it out. We are looking at NCL at the Haven which looks pretty fantastic and splurgy too. 34,000 for a cruise would definitely break our bank unless we win the lottery.

We did Alaska on the Wonder last year...it was really fantastic. I have no experience with NCL, but know people who have sailed with them in the Haven and found it to be great. We are considering doing a trip to Bermuda on one of their new ships (Breakaway or Getaway, can't remember which) next year as well.
We've looked at a 2 bedroom Haven suite for Alaska and it's less than a verandah room on the Wonder. We've never sailed NCL but I've read nothing but great reviews about the Haven.
