Disney Magic Don't Fail Me Now! 3/10!! New Update!!! Day 6!!!

Day 2!

We slept in a little today! Honestly, I can’t remember when we really did get up. I know I was the first up. I made a pot of coffee and got myself ready! Soon I was joined by DD!

So we enjoyed our fabulous morning view!

Soon the rest of the family was up and milling about! We ate some breakfast in the room and the kids and I got ready to head to Epcot!

DH and FIL were heading to ESPN Zone at Boardwalk to watch the Giants game!

MIL wanted to come to Epcot with the kids and I. But she was supposed to wait for SIL, BIL and Alexis. They were just getting up. So MIL asked if I would wait for them! Well, honestly I didn’t want too! But I did.

We hung out in the room some more with DH and FIL who weren’t heading out for Boardwalk quite yet. I had DD do some homework while we waited!

How many Engineers does it take to help a 4th grader with her homework?!

A little after 11 DH and FIL headed out and MIL was feed up with waiting for SIL! Apparently they weren’t anywhere near ready to go to Epcot!

So MIL told them we’d meet them there!

DS8 at the bus stop...

It was probably 11:30 by the time we got there! Not exactly rope drop but today was supposed to be a lazy kind of day anyway! So I let it go and we headed to WS!

But first, we stopped at the fountain..

And Epcot Christmas!

(they're all looking at MIL!!)

We started in Mexico! We looked around the pavilion for a few minutes and walked right on Donald’s ride!

After Mexico the kids decided they were hungry so we skipped right over Norway and China in search of hot dogs at The Outpost!

WS was empty so we had our choice of tables! The kids enjoyed their lunches and then enjoyed some playtime in the Outpost!

Then we were off to Germany! MIL was disappointed that the shop that used to sell Hummels, which she collects, had been replaced by the caramel shop! But we browsed the other shops, including the christmas shop

Then we moved to a quick trip to Italy!

After Italy I tried to convince the kids we should see The American Adventure but the kids weren’t feeling it! We did stop in a kiosk outside of the pavilion to buy our Christmas hats though!

Then it was time to move onto Japan and a little shopping at Mitsukoshi! DS8 was super happy to spend some of his money on a Sonic the Hedgehog backpack! Really, this thing was a HUGE plush Sonic with a little backpack space and straps! It was $50!! I tried with everything I had in me to convince him that this wasn’t the best way to spend $50! He reminded me that he a lot of money and that he really, really, really wanted this backpack more then anything in the world! It was his money so I went with it!

Then we were off to explore Morocco a little!

Morocco lead to France and in France we saw Papa Noel! He was our one and only Christmas Around the World stop! He was actually done telling guests about Christmas in France, Booo! But, he was taking pictures and we were the last ones to have a picture taken before he left!

More France...

After France we kind of skimmed the other countries because the kids weren’t really feeling WS!

The did like the telephone booth though, although you can't see them in there..

We did a little shopping in Mousegear and then decided to head back to the room to rest for a little bit.

Don’t you know that as we were heading out of Epcot SIL, BIL and Alexis were finally heading in! I’m so glad we didn’t wait for them ;) MIL was not amused, at all!

continued next post...

continued from last post...

Back at the room we hung out for a little while and enjoyed the view! It was fabulous to just sit and relax! Of course, our visitors helped!

We hung out in the room for a few hours, watching TV, playing and enjoying some more of the view!

Then it was time to head off to Epcot again to meet up with everyone else for dinner at the Biergarten!

We headed to Epcot without incident and made our way straight to Germany! We met up with DH and FIL! They LOVE ESPN zone and DH LOVED Boardwalk! He decided he really, really wants to stay there next trip! Sounds fabulous to me!

After a little bit SIL, BIL and Alexis met up with us and I checked us in at Biergarten!

It was then that I learned that BIL is the most impatient person in the entire world! We waited maybe 10 minutes. That 10 minutes was torturous!

“How long will we have to wait?” “What’s the point of making a reservation of you have to wait?” blah, blah, blah, huffing and puffing! Just generally acting like a child! Really?!

I was annoyed, MIL was annoyed! I know MIL was annoyed because she was making a face that I became very familiar with this trip! It’s the same face she gives me at home with DH or FIL is annoying her! She rolls her eyes and kind of bites the side of her cheek! Honestly I wonder how she didn’t make herself bleed by the end of the week!

Thankfully we didn’t have to deal with it for too long and we were soon enjoying the Biergarten!

The kiddos didn’t want to dance because no one else was dancing! I tried to convince them that if they danced other kids would dance too! But they weren’t going for it!

Alexis and SIL @ Biergarten...

Eating a spoon...

Biergarten band...

DS8 also informed me that he wasn’t feeling so well and he really wanted to go back to the room! Oh no! Tonight was our Candlelight Processional night and I was really looking forward to seeing it!

We tried to convince him to stick it out but he said he really didn’t feel well! DH tried to convince him that he would take him back to the room and I would stay and see the show. MIL also tired to convince him that she would take him back! Nope!

Ho hum! I could have been a mean mommy and forced him to stay but what good what that have done?! Honestly, I think he was more bored and tired then not feeling well. But, I took him back. I left DS3 and DD with DH and the rest of the family and left them with the throw that we had gotten at some point during the day with some of our purchases. Good thing I did because when the sun went down it got REALLY chilly!

DS and I headed straight for the bus stop and found a bus waiting for us! Yipeee!!!

Soon we were home relaxing, cuddling up and watching a movie!

When the rest of the family returned they reported that CP was great and Susan Lucci did a great job narrating! They had needed the throw! DD and DS3 spent the show cuddled up under it!

DH tried to convince me that MIL and FIL would watch the kids one night and he and I would go back to see it! It was very sweet of him to offer but it really didn’t fit in our schedule with the plan for the rest of the week! Reason #1 for a do over trip!

I decided I was going to use the Jacuzzi tub for the 1st time this trip and DH got the kids ready and into bed!

Day 2 complete! Pretty good with a few bumps in the road!

UGH on the waiting for people who aren't ready. I admit though, I find it funny they were just getting there as you were leaving, probably a good thing actually. So very sad that you missed CP, I know for me that is a huge reason I'd love to go during the holidays.

Bummer! I'm so sorry you missed CP but, as you said, another reason for the do-over trip.

:rotfl2: that they were walking in when you were walking out! Thank goodness you didn't wait for them.

Has DS gotten good use out of the Sonic backpack? It sounds cute. Speaking of bags... I spy a Vera in your pictures. I have the same daisy print & love it!

Balcony time at Kidani sounds pretty heavenly. You know, I don't think I've ever seen a giraffe sitting down. I can't believe they can fold those long legs under themselves so completely. Very cool!

Such a bummer that you missed CP. You are right that you are need a do over trip just because of that. I have a question? What could possibly take your BIL and SIL so long to get ready to go??? I've had babies (3 of them) and yes it takes longer to get out the door, but it doesn't take 3 hours longer! It does sound like they were not prepared for traveling with a kid. I feel bad for your SIL. Can you imagine what her life must be like if her husband can't even wait 10 minutes for a table at a restaurant.:scared1: Hopefully the next day is better, but I suspect it only gets worse.

You deserve a medal:hug: and so does your MIL!! I wouldn't have waitied either....time is precious and you should never spend it waiting on someone who thinks their time is more important that yours!

A do over is definitely in order!!!

OY what a trip so far!!!! I definitely agree you deserve a re-do!!!

Sorry you missed CP!!!

I love the Boardwalk!! I was debating with trying to get in there in June, but no availability so I'm going to love my time at POR!!! If you guys stay there you will LOVE it!! What a great location!!!!

Really, it was kind of annoying but I let it go! It really was probably a good thing that we went without them!

I'm sad I missed CP! But, I'm hoping and praying that it means I'll get Le Cellier for the CP dinner package in December :thumbsup2

I'm still a little sad I missed CP! But I'm hoping it means goo things for next year!

I can't believe they were just arriving when we left!!! Ridiculous!

The Sonic backpack is cute but HUGE! He's wearing it in the Papa Noel picture!

Good eye for seeing the Vera! It's actually MIL's we got it for her for her birthday a year or two ago! She loves it!

I was shocked when I saw that giraffe laying down like that! I waited to see if it would stand up but it didn't while I was out there! It just kind lounged there!

I have absolutely no idea what was taking them so long!! But I can tell you one thing! You hit the nail right on the head!!!!!! They were completely unprepared to travel with a baby! Sure they had plenty of stuff that they may need! I think they took half the house but they weren't prepared at all!

I don't know how SIL deals with BIL! Really! When she comes over here or over to MIL's he calls every 30 minutes to see where she is! She also has to be there to make him lunch on the weekend! Come on!!

Aww thanks! But if anyone deserves a medal it's MIL! She put up with a lot on this trip! If it had been me I would have lost it!

:lmao: Ya know, I said Oy like 10,000 times during the trip! I can't wait for a re-do!

I'm so hoping to get Boardwalk!!!! I think we'll love it!!! DH raved about everything saw!

It's tattoo mania on there! Wow, I missed this yesterday. I wasn't on FB much other than to post the boys cooking results through. That is ADORABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love it!! I have been thinking of getting one since I turned 40...and I even have a design in mind...but never seem to make the appt:lmao: I would love Jasmine and I to do it together, however, a tattoo I would have picked at 18 is not what I would want in my 40's so I'm leary for her to get one right now:confused3

Wow, great looking tatto! Where is it?

Haha, reading about your DS8 and his Sonic backpack makes me think of a bunny backpack that I like to carry around. Those things can hold a surprising number of stuff. As long as he's happy right?

I LOVE your morning shot. I am almost always the first up and really treasure that little time with my coffee and my thoughts.

LMAO :rotfl:that is just how my DD7 is "really really really really" She is doing chores diligently now so that she can earn Dis$. I am not going to tell her that she already has $150 of Christmas gift money set aside for Disney.:rolleyes1 ...let her think she has only $23!!! she'll keep doing those chores!:laundy:
The did like the telephone booth though, although you can't see them in there..

love this photo ... i can see them. I just read somewhere yesterday the phone numbers to those little red booths. I'm going to take them with me in May & sit nearby & call people on the phones:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Don’t you know that as we were heading out of Epcot SIL, BIL and Alexis were finally heading in! I’m so glad we didn’t wait for them ;) MIL was not amused, at all!

continued next post...
:mad:can you imagine if you had wasted the whole day waiting?

LOL! I've been think of doing it for soooo long! I've even been working on the design off and on for awhile! When I Anita got hers I started feeling brave and talking to Tracy about it! Tracy did a great job of enabling me!!! :lmao:

You should!!! I love mine!! I've been thinking about it since college! DH kept asking me if I was sure that I wanted that on my body for the rest of my life! I reminded him that I'm 35 years old and pretty sure I can make that decision at this point!

I love your new tattoo! Very tasteful!

Thank you!!

Thanks!! It's on the outside of my left ankle!

The Sonic backpack!! Oh my! Hey, it was his money and he really wanted it!

I LOVE my early mornings at Disney! My favorite mornings where a couple of morning when we stayed at GF! I snuck out and sat at a table by Gasparillas! The view of sunrise over MK was amazing!

Oh goodness! I love your story about your DD! my kiddos always save up all their money for spending money! DD had like $400 one trip and we went to WOD. The CM at the cash register was so impressed when DD paid with her own money from her own wallet! I explained that she had been saving every dollar to have her own spending money! She gave DD a pin as a reward!

Really?! That is so cool that you can call the phone!!! I have to find the #!

I would not have been happy if we sat there all day waiting for them! :headache:

Really?! That is so cool that you can call the phone!!! I have to find the #!

:lovestruc:lovestrucFirst of all let me say I owe you!!! Without even knowing it you just saved me a world of aggravation! I started to reply to you with the numbers for Epcot, then realized that when I swapped my broken phone for my replacement phone last night that I had not retrieved all of my data off of the old one!:eek::eek: So I went to the outoging mail box (because of course I am at work:rolleyes:) for the second time (last night at 11:30 I was opening it to take out the SD Card :upsidedow), I opened the sealed, pulled out my damaged phone, hooked it up & pulled out my really important info (you know, LIke Epcot red phone booth numbers:laughing::laughing:) and packaged it up again. Sheesh! :rolleyes1good think I didn't have any work to do this morning..:rolleyes1

So, THANK YOU:worship::worship: I would have been very unhappy without some of that data!

Now, on to important thing. DISNEY:wizard:

the phone numbers are:
407 827 9861
407 827 9862
407 827 9863

Have fun!! back to work now:surfweb:

You know, I'm not usually a big fan of tattoos, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE yours. It's perfect and exactly what I would choose if I ever got up the nerve... and didn't tell my husband.

Boy, oh boy.... what a wait you would have had if you hadn't decided to head to Epcot on your own. My family are late starters but no where near that bad! I love the UK phone booth shot with the kiddos (and the backpack!) crammed in. :rotfl2:

Have just found your TR and am looking forward to reading more - thanks for the honesty and sharing all your trip experiences - the good with the bad.

Sounds like your day at MK was not that bad and you had a good time at CM even if you did have to wait for SIL and BIL.

Love the animal pics at AK - would love to stay there one day.

 on having to wait when going to Epcot. You guys made a good call to go ahead and leave especially as SIL and BIL were arriving on your exit!

Btw love the new tattoo - it looks really good :thumbsup2

How many Engineers does it take to help a 4th grader with her homework?!

:rotfl2:

So glad you didn't end up waiting for SIL & BIL! What took them so long? Hopefully that wasn't the theme of the week...:scared:

Beautiful shots from your balcony. I love the one of the sitting giraffe!

So sorry to hear about missing out on CP. :sad2: Your DH is a sweetie for offering to take you another night though...but a whole redo trip is much, much better. ::yes::

GREAT tattoo!!! I missed it on FB!! :confused3
