Disney Magic Don't Fail Me Now! 3/10!! New Update!!! Day 6!!!

:lovestruc:lovestrucFirst of all let me say I owe you!!! Without even knowing it you just saved me a world of aggravation! I started to reply to you with the numbers for Epcot, then realized that when I swapped my broken phone for my replacement phone last night that I had not retrieved all of my data off of the old one!:eek: So I went to the outoging mail box (because of course I am at work:rolleyes:) for the second time (last night at 11:30 I was opening it to take out the SD Card :upsidedow), I opened the sealed, pulled out my damaged phone, hooked it up & pulled out my really important info (you know, LIke Epcot red phone booth numbers:laughing::laughing:) and packaged it up again. Sheesh! :rolleyes1good think I didn't have any work to do this morning..:rolleyes1

So, THANK YOU:worship::worship: I would have been very unhappy without some of that data!

Now, on to important thing. DISNEY:wizard:

the phone numbers are:
407 827 9861
407 827 9862
407 827 9863

Have fun!! back to work now:surfweb:

Oh my goodness! I'm glad I unknowingly helped you! :lmao: That would have stunk!!! I know moving all the stuff from one phone to the other when I changed carriers was a pain! I can't imagine what it would have been like it I didn't actually have one phone in one hand and one phone in the other hand!

Thanks for the numbers!!

You know, I'm not usually a big fan of tattoos, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE yours. It's perfect and exactly what I would choose if I ever got up the nerve... and didn't tell my husband.

Boy, oh boy.... what a wait you would have had if you hadn't decided to head to Epcot on your own. My family are late starters but no where near that bad! I love the UK phone booth shot with the kiddos (and the backpack!) crammed in. :rotfl2:

Thanks! I love the way it came out!

The waiting was ridiculous!!!! Totally and completely ridiculous!!

Have just found your TR and am looking forward to reading more - thanks for the honesty and sharing all your trip experiences - the good with the bad.

Sounds like your day at MK was not that bad and you had a good time at CM even if you did have to wait for SIL and BIL.

Love the animal pics at AK - would love to stay there one day.

 on having to wait when going to Epcot. You guys made a good call to go ahead and leave especially as SIL and BIL were arriving on your exit!

Btw love the new tattoo - it looks really good :thumbsup2

THanks for joining in!!!

The trip wasn't all bad, there were some moments that I care never to repeat though!

AKL/V is fabulous!!! Everyone should try stay there at least one even if it's just for a night!

UGH! I'm glad we didn't wait for BIL and SIL and I'm glad we left when we did!!!

Thanks about the tattoo! I really love the way it came out!

:rotfl2:

So glad you didn't end up waiting for SIL & BIL! What took them so long? Hopefully that wasn't the theme of the week...:scared:

Beautiful shots from your balcony. I love the one of the sitting giraffe!

So sorry to hear about missing out on CP. :sad2: Your DH is a sweetie for offering to take you another night though...but a whole redo trip is much, much better. ::yes::

GREAT tattoo!!! I missed it on FB!! :confused3

LOL!! They cracked me up helping her! She was doing her math homework and DH decided to help her! Meanwhile little miss smarty really didn't need help! So they step in and read more in to the word problems then there actually was! Geeze! It was hysterical to listen to them! DD just let them talk! :rotfl2:

I have absolutely no idea what took them so long! But, sadly it was part of the theme of the week! You shall see!

I would have gone back to CP if it had fit into the schedule but I had other things planned for the other nights that I wanted to do too! The Osborne Lights, Hoop De Doo, MVMCP etc! So a redo is definitely in order! Not to mention there were a lot of other holiday things that we didn't do!

Thanks about the tattoo! I love it!

Oh Melissa - I am so sorry you had to wait so long to leave for Epcot. Good thing you left when you did. The kids are adorable and you got some great shots of them.

Bummer about missing CP. I would really have liked to see Susan Lucci narrate. Yes - you do need a do over if you haven't seen CP yet. I love it because I love the whole Christmas story and I am so impressed that Disney isn't afraid to tell it. And, of course, you know how I feel about the music. I wish I could jump in and sing in the choir.

Well, girlfriend, I have to say that you took everything in stride and made the best of the day. I have a feeling things are going to get a lot worse and I feel bad for your MIL.

UGH! I'm so glad we left them behind! I would not have been pleased if we had waited all that time for them!

Aww, thanks about the pics!!! I love to take my kiddos picture! They get annoyed at me! "Mom, another picture!?" Yum, yes! Another picture!!

My MIL was impressed with Susan Lucci! I agree with you 100% about loving the christmas story and being impressed that disney isn't affraid to tell it!! I'm a HUGE sap! I know I'll at least get choked up if not cry! I'm hoping that missing it this trip will give me good karma to get Le Cellier for the dinner package next time! :lmao: I can hope, right?!

I tried at hard as I could to take everything in stride! I really, really did! Sometimes I have a hard time with that! I'll be the first to admit that I'm a bit of a control freak and a tiny bit anal! In this situation I had to let it go! There were a few times I came pretty darn close to completely lossing it! I feel bad for MIL too! I told DH she could come with us again! The rest of them, no way!

So, I’m starting to freak out! Many of you know that I’m taking DD on a surprise trip for her 10th birthday in 8 days!!! 8 days!!!!

I’m so excited I feel like I’m going to bust! The next 8 days can’t go fast enough! It becomes harder and harder to keep it a secret each day! I try to get as much done while she’s at school as I can. But, I think of things that need to or want to do when I can’t because she’s home! UGH!

She’s going to FREAK when she finds out!! This trip is what she wanted for her birthday! Her actual birthday is in March and she is completely convinced that we are going in March! She has no clue whatsoever that we’re leaving in 8 days!!!!!!!

She also has no clue that my sister and 2 nieces are coming with us! It’s a girls trip!

To make it even better we are staying in a theme park view room at Poly!!

Oh my!! Did I'm mention I’m excited!?

Anyway, I’ll get on with the TR!

Day 3!

Today was the day to head to DHS! DH and I went with the plan to get to DHS shortly after rope drop. I can’t deal with TSM dash!

We had hoped that and planned for MIL and FIL to join us!

Where were MIL and FIL when we left the room?! Still in the room waiting for SIL to come by with Alexis! Seems SIL and BIL wanted MIL to watch her while they slept some more! FIL was not a happy camper! As it turns out SIL dropped off some laundry for MIL to wash for her when she brought Alexis by!

With the rest of the family back at AKV we forged forward into DHS!

First stop?! Well, it was 2 first stops actually! DD was freezing so I stopped to get her a sweatshirt! DH and the boys headed to TSM to grab us FP for later and wait for DD and I!

We picked up a cute sweatshirt and headed out!

We decided to stop for a few photopass shots! (she hadn't put on the sweatshirt yet!)

We met up with the boys and got on the TSM standby line! We waited maybe 25 minutes! DH and DS8 rode together, DD, DS3 and I rode together! It was a lot of fun and DS3 rode on my lap and took control of shooting! He LOVED it!

Our first ride on TSM done we decided to head over to the next showing of Playhouse Disney!

DS3 was in his glory! All of his favorite shows right there on stage!

After Playhouse Disney it was time to make good on a promise! I had promised DS3 that he would get to meet Handy Manny this trip and he was out in the greeting area!

So, DS3, DD and I jumped in line! He was so excited! He was even more excited when he discovered that not only was he going to meet Handy Manny but his favorite girl! June from Little Einstein’s! He also got to meet Quincy!

(BTW, that's "Baby" in DS3's hands! He goes everywhere and does everything!)

After PHD we headed for another DHS must do, the Honey I Shrunk the Kids Playground! My kids LOVE all the different playgrounds at WDW and this one is probably at the top of their list! The only thing I don’t like about it is that it feel like you could easily lose your kid in there and that there could be some nefarious bad guy hiding in a dark corner! I really feellike they need to increase the # of CM’s in there and maybe even do the blacklight hand stamp thing that they do at Chuckie Cheese to make sure no one leaves with a child that is theirs! DH and I spend a great amount of time in there going “where’s …” because we don’t see one child or the other!

(see, another baby sighting ;))

Anyway, after our playground adventure we moved on and decided to try the Backlot Tour for the first time!

We enjoyed it a lot! There was a lot of interesting things to see! DD was not to happy that she was seated on the side of the car that got a little wet in catastrophe canyon though! Opps!

Then it was time to move on again! But we were hungry! Time for lunch! I suggested that we eat at the CS by Backlot Tour but everyone was cold and it’s outside and shaded! So, we decided to head to ABC Commissary! DH and the kids got us a seat while I ordered and paid! The very nice CM that fulfilled my order actually helped me carry the stuff to the table! I told her I’d take the tray with the food and come back and get the drinks! She insisted on carrying the drinks! Thank you nice CM!!!

This lunch made me wonder why most of the bad dining experiences we’ve had a WDW seem to be a DHS! DH and I ordered cheeseburgers, which for some reason, came with a piece of fried shrimp stuck in the top of it! The burger itself was just gross, honestly I can get a better burger at McDonalds or Burger King! The fried shrimp was also nasty! Icky kind of old/frozen tasting! YUCK! Neither one of us ate more then 1/4 to 1/2 of it!

The kiddos all got chicken nugget and enjoyed them a lot!

After lunch we decided to head toward star tours! Which, of course, is closed! The shop, however, is not! DS8 being the worlds biggest Star Wars fan still wanted to checkout what they had!

The merchandise was limited. Which I completely understand! So after roaming around for awhile we left with out making any purchases!

From Star Tours we moved onto Muppet Vision! We all really enjoyed the movie and Ryan thought it was hysterical! This was the first trip that he understood that he needed to leave his glasses on to be able to see the movie!

From MV3D we decided to move onto GMR! DD was loves this ride and bugging us to do it! (I swear I took pictures but I can't find them!)

continued next post...

Then we split up! DH took the big kids back to the playground to run around and I took Ryan to the Toy Story meet and greet area!!

waiting for Buzz...

Meeting Buzz...

(Baby met Buzz too!)

We meet up again after Ryan was finished meeting buzz and then it was time to head back toward the hat to meet up with the rest of the family who were just getting into the park! Just in time for dinner!

Yes, we had an early ADR, but by now it was around 3:45! They were just getting into the park!!!!!! Whatever!

So we headed over to Mama Melrose to checkin for our 4:10 ADR!

But first Ryan and I needed to make a quick stop…

Can’t miss Lightening McQueen and Mater!!! (Another Baby sighting ;))

I went in to check us in and it was mobbed! Ridiculously mobbed! I checked in and the girl at the podium said that the wait was going to be at least 30 minutes! I dreaded what was going to happen after BIL not being able to wait 10 minutes at Biergarten!

I went back outside to find the family parked on near by benches! I explained that they were mobbed and that we were in for a long wait! Everyone was fine with that. Except BIL! Of course!

We all sat or stood and chatted and laughed and enjoyed the time! Expect BIL who was sitting on a bench alone at the farthest end from the rest of the family with his arms folded across his chest with this pained look on his face! Really?!

I could tell this was starting to irritate DH! I knew for sure when he suggested to me that him and I take the kids inside to get out of the cold! It was cold, but not that cold! So we did! We waited inside for maybe 10 minutes and then BIL, SIL and Alexis were standing next to us! Seems they wanted to get out of the cold too! Or it was more like BIL wanted to bug me!

DH took the path of least resistance and took DS8 outside to run around while waited! Gee, thanks hun!

So, DD, DS3 and I waited inside with BIL, SIL and Alexis for the next 20 minutes! They were some of the longest 20 minutes of my life! I really wish I could get those 20 minutes back on our next trip to actually do something that didn’t cause me physical pain!

The complaining and whining was worse then that of a 13 year old girl!!!!!! UGH! I honestly wondered if I could ask the girl at the podium to get me a glass of wine!!! I needed a drink!

When we were finally seated things turned happier! Thank god! BIL was happy and chatty and seemed to really enjoy his dinner! We all really enjoyed our dinners! FIL is not a big fan of Italian food so he ordered a steak and he really like it! DH and I both had chicken parm which was yummy! I’m not really sure what everyone else ordered but it was a good meal!

After dinner it was time to head out to the Osborne Lights!!! Woo hooo!!!!

We had a fabulous time enjoying the lights! Truly amazing!!!

BIL and Alexis! As much as he annoyed me (and a few other people) this trip I love this picture!

Miss Alexis and her Mommy and Daddy!

After enjoying the lights we had TSM FP to use from the morning!

DH and I offered ours to MIL and FIL figuring they could take the kids because they had never be on it before! But FIL was apparently freezing to death! He said flatout no! He was leaving and going back to the room where it was warm! Ok!! BIL, SIL and Alexis were all leaving too so MIL and FIL were going to go with them and DD decided she wanted to go too! They all crammed into SIL’s Tahoe again and trekked back to Kidani while me and my 3 favorites guys enjoyed TSM!

Then it was time to head back to Kidani ourselves! But not before another photopass picture!!

(last baby sighting of day 3!)

Back at the room we hung out, had baths and showers, watched Cars and headed to bed!

Ooh hope you manage to keep the secret for the next 8 days and manage to plan for the trip - am sure your DD will love the surprise!!

Feel for your MIL and FIL having to wait in their room instead of being able to come with you.

Love the character pics of Ryan with Handy Manny and Buzz...that and getting to watch Playhouse Disney must have made his day! :yay:
Ugh can't believe the CS food was so bad - hopefully on your next trip you will not have a bad dining experience at DHS.

Can't believe BIL is making such a fuss over waiting for reservations - it's standard for any restauarant you go to that you may have to wait if it is busy. If the kids could wait then surely he could too! Plus it ruins the experience for the rest of you. Have to admit though that the picture of him and Alexis is rather sweet

Love all the pictures of the Osbourne lights and I think baby is rather cute - looking forward to more sightings :thumbsup2

What a wonderful day 3! Looks like everyone had a great time. Even your BIL and SIL look like they are having fun. But I feel bad for MIL having to do their laundry already. Its not like they didn't have free time. They got to the park at 4:30pm. They are definitely not getting much of the Disney experience.

Again - great pics and I am so glad Ryan got to see his character buddies.

Wow, Day 3 and I am annoyed with your BIL and SIL. :headache: but I digress.

First, I am so excited with you on your secret trip. Don't even KNOW how you are keeping this a secret. I would just be bursting. EVERY NIGHT I give my DH & DD a Dis Update where I tell them something that I did or learned or planned for our May trip. :wizard: It really helps spread the magic! I can't waitpopcorn:: to see that TR of your daughters surprise trip. have someone there to get her face when she learns the surprise.

I hear you about meals at DHS. It is our least favorite place to try & find a meal. I think I actually double booked dinner ressies for th eone day we have a dinner there -- and am pretty sure we will be going to Kouzzina's at DBI instead of 50's Prime Time.

I agree w the handstamping at the playgrounds - I wish they would too. Usually I go inside with Katie & DH sits outside by the exit if he's not doing a ride or something. he is a LEO and you can believe he eagle eyes EVERY child coming out of that play ground to make sure no one has DD pirate:

Your pictures of the lights are phenomenal....they made me tear up a bit. I love :goodvibes that Disney keeps the nativity in their parade.

ok now I have to say it. What is with SIL & BIL. I would be SOOO mad if my adult child first of all made me wait to watch their child so they could sleep, and second even crazy:mad: if they wanted me to do their laundry! SHEESH! ok. all done. now.
cant wait to read more!:surfweb:popcorn::

The birthday trip sounds awesome!! What a great surprise. I'm kind of jealous. LOL. And the Poly. :cloud9::cloud9::cloud9:

Sounds like a great day at DHS. I love the pictures of the Osborne Lights.

ok the fact that your MIL and FIL actually agreed to watch the baby so BIL and SIL could sleep, AND do their laundry...explains a lot right there.

UGH! Why in the world would they agree to do that? It completely enables and encourages their behavior! UGH UGH UGH! So all they did all day was sleep, eat dinner and see the lights and then leave?

UGH!

Glad you guys had a good day, that burger sounds pretty darn awful though!

WOW!!! All I can think of to say about BIL and SIL is wow!! I'm glad they did get to enjoy the time they did spend in the parks!!!

Sounds like you and your family had a great DHS day!!!!! Love the pictures of the kids at the Honey I shrunk playground!! One day I'm going to have to walk through there!!!!

I don't think I can find a nice comment on your BIL and SIL so I won't say anything about that at all:rolleyes1

It looks like your family had an awesome day at DHS! I hear you about the playground though! It can be tough to keep track of the kids! I bet your niece just loved the Osborne lights! She is the age when they just love lights and there were so many of them! And that is a cute picture. (I guess I did find something nice to say.

I don't think I can find a nice comment on your BIL and SIL so I won't say anything about that at all:rolleyes1

That's pretty much what I was going to say too.... If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all. :rolleyes1

I also second all the "UGH's  Watch the baby while they sleep?? oh and you might as well do my laundry too?? arrive in time for dinner to complain and then leave?? Why in the heck were they there?? OK, I've said too much.

Otherwise, YOU guys had a great day! :thumbsup2

Your DD has great taste in Disney t-shirts :) I got the same t-shirt she's wearing in the Epcot pics :)
Luvin your trip report btw!

I think we're good with the secret now! As long as no one slips!!!

I felt bad for MIL and FIL too! MIL needs to stop giving in though!!

He really had a fun day that day! All his favorites all in one day! What more can you ask for when your 3!?

UGH! I really wanted to tell BIL to shut up! LOL!! Welcome to life buddy!!! Like I said, that picture of him and Alexis at the Osborne lights is one of my favs of the trip!

Ryan is very, very attached to Baby! He loves him so much! You'll definitely be seeing more of him!

:lmao: Yeah, I know the being annoyed with BIL and SIL feeling!!

Keeping the secret from DD has been sooooo hard! Nearly impossible at this point! but we only have 6 more days! I'm hoping it will last!!!! She's going to FREAK!!! I'm going to videotape it and post it ;)

I don't understand why eating at DHS is such a poor experience!!! You would think they would make some effort to improve it! Boo!

That playground makes me nervous!!! I have an eye on the exit at all times! DD is the little mommy and keeps DS3 with her pretty much the whole time but DS8 is all over the place!!

SIL and BIL have serious issues!! Of course, MIL doesn't make it better! She could say no! But she feels bad!

The birthday trip sounds awesome!! What a great surprise. I'm kind of jealous. LOL. And the Poly. :cloud9::cloud9::cloud9:

You hit the nail right on the head! She is enabling and encouraging their behavior!!! 1000% but she doesn't see it that way! Grrrr!!!

Yes, all they did all day was sleep, eat dinner and see the lights! I know they've been to Disney before but why go all that way to miss everything!?

We had a great day! Yes, that burger was gross! I don't think I'll be eating at the commissary anytime soon!

WOW!!! All I can think of to say about BIL and SIL is wow!! I'm glad they did get to enjoy the time they did spend in the parks!!!

Yeah, they seemed to have a good time when they actually were in the park!

:lmao: I feel like that a lot! I watch what I say to DH because I don't want him to get mad at me for saying something bad about his sister. But, usually he's thinking the samething! LOL!!

We had a great time at DHS! Alexis really seemed to like the lights! She was so cute, smiling and pointing!!

That's pretty much what I was going to say too.... If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all. :rolleyes1

:lmao: Yeah! I know the feeling!

You haven't said anything that I wasn't thinking and wanting to say myself at that time! :lmao:

We did have a great time at DHS though!!!

Your DD has great taste in Disney t-shirts :) I got the same t-shirt she's wearing in the Epcot pics :)
Luvin your trip report btw!

Aww, thanks!

3:45!!!?!?!? And to eat dinner, see the Osborne Lights and then leave? I don't get it! :confused3 Sorry BIL was a total pain waiting for dinner too. Ugh. Glad, aside from those two annoyances, the day was a lot of fun! You got some really sweet pictures with the kids and the characters!

Your trip is just 6 days away now, right?! :hyper: It's going to be so wonderful! Theme Park at the Poly is one of my dreamssssssssss :lovestruc:cloud9: Be sure to record her reaction! She's gonna flip!

Yeah, their touring plan isn't exactly commando! We did have a fabulous day when we were alone!!!

My sis and nieces will be here in about an hour! I'm going to record her reaction and post it on FB!!! Keep an eye out!!!

Your trip is getting close! :woohoo::dance3::woohoo:

OMG! I'm trying not to freak!!! I can't wait to see her reaction!!!

Hi everyone!!! DD will be recieving her surprise in a little over an hour! She's going to freak!! She still has no clue!!! She thinks we're going to NYC on Tuesday and has the trip all planned out! :lmao:

I have an update ready! I just haven't had the time to post it! Too much to do! I'll post it when we get home!!
