What happens to people who do bad things at Disney? I know this may sound really dumb but I have always wondered if they have a jail/

If you do something bad Disney will call Orange or Osceola County Police. The parks do have holding areas if they have to.

Of course, haven't you ever seen it toward the end of the Pirates of the Caribbean ride!!!

actually they can be detained by WDW officers and/or transported to the regular county lock-ups in Orange co. !! No special mouseears for these guys.

They haul you away in the paddy wagon

(actually I took this picture at DLP last year)

I too was going to suggest the holding area at the POTC....of course you may not get out in time with the fire and all!

OP - are you planning on being bad at the world??? :)

People who are caught doing bad things are forced to ride Its a Small World over and over and over again. The little people in that ride are actually the "lost kids" that are never claimed.

I remember reading an article in Teen People (like 5 years ago) where a girl who worked in Disney started doing "bad things" and she got banned from the parks for life... try to behave!

One of my friends was at Disney for a convention. He and a colleague went to PI for the night. Well, his friend got into a fight with anothe patron and when the Disney Security came out of nowhere and started handling his friend, he put a hand on the guy to just say, "Hey, it wasn't my friend's fault" and was jumped by other Disney Security. They threw him and his friend into the county jail for the night.

He was then told that he is banned from WDW for life. If you knew the guy, you would say "WHAT?!" He is one of the most laid-back, passive people I know.

The problem is he now has 2 small kids and his DW loves Disney. We keep wanting to plan a trip with them, but don't know what will happen when we mention his name. This happened about 3-4 yrs ago.

::yes:: :scared1:
'lost' kids = rude park patrons!
anytime you get stuck in IASW, it is just the Mouse's way of getting the word around that naughty patrons can be made verryyy uncomfortable. :scared:
'nuff said~ :(

When I was there in 98 with my highschool marching band one of the kids in the band got caught stealing, or rather trying to steal a little $3 magnet.

He was held in a holding room until the band director and his parents could be reached.

He was sent home immedietly from the trip and kicked out of the marching band.

Anyone else wondering if there are any Hidden Mickey's in the holding cells?

not doubting this really happened and have heard other stories with the same outcome but who actually bans them? and how would they know it's the same Fred Smith or what ever...i know they have all sorts of info. on file( they pull it up every time we make ressies) but has anyone ever REALLY tried to go and not been able to? hypothetically of course, i mean just in case, not that the small world threat wouldn't be more than enough to keep me on my best behavior

I think now with the fingerprint ticket tag, they could render the ticket void. And store your fingerprint in a never let in the park data base.

The system does not use your finger prints. It measures a number of aspects of your fingers and assigns you a number that is not unique to you based on those measurements.

Correct. It's basically a measurement of the distances from each of the joints to the other joints. Based on this you're assigned a particular finger profile.

Yup. My boss's, son's, ex-girlfriend's mom got caught stealing from Disney! She was stealing from the Emporium and got apprehended trying to go from Main Street to Adventureland. They stopped her and she was taken out. She was booked at the Orange County PD. I know because my boss got the police record and we read it. Psycho! Who steals from Disney?! She even brought old receipts! Nutcase. :confused3

The finger scanners definately do NOT take your fingerprints. We frequently mix up tickets and use whichever tickets we grab and never once has it been a problem. So obviously that wouldn't work if fingerprints were involved. Plus, consider how dirty/icky that machine must get inside with everyone touching it all day....ewww. No way could it get clear fingerprints and compare them in seconds.

:rotfl2: That's where I wanted to send my 13-year-old after he complained about waiting for the bus for about the 18th million time. :rotfl:

Actually the reason you were able to mix up the tickets is that the system is designed to allow tickets that are purchased together the be interchangeable.
