Has anyone been to any of the classes that the Disney Institute offers?

I am thinking about attending the Leadership course. Is it worth the money? Does it really help with your job? How intense is the course?

Any advice or "war" stories would be great. I would love to read the "scoop" on thier programs.

Thanks!!!

They still offer classes. Check out www. disneyinstitute. com (sorry about the spaces I cant post a link)

I have not been to the Disney Institute but would love to. There is a chance I will be able to experience one of their 1 1/2 hour trainings this Fall. I'll let you know then.

I have researched the Disney business stuff for a couple of years. Here is what I offer as an answer to your questions.

The Disney Institute will offer many great tips and suggestions. A lot of what they say will require you to receive, process, adapt, and apply to your own situation. It is not a guarantee that your business will be better off. As much as Disney is about magic, much of the Disney Institute will be the magic of your ability to change and apply what is taught. So, much like any other business course, you will get out of it proportionate to your willingness to be changed by it.

I have had someone who experienced the 1 1/2 hour leadership training tell me it was a "life transforming experience".

Thanks for the info! I am trying to attend the 3 1/2 day training. It is costly but I think it will be a life changing experence too!

Thanks again!

Really? I thought the Disney Institute was "history". Where are the classes held?

I believe FSUMARCHIEF has been to the leadership training. You can probably find him on the trip reports board somewhere's. :)

I showed this thread to my husband who's currently working monster hours (on salary, bummer).

And he said he'd rather have his thumbs smashed with a hammer than think about work while he's at Disney.

This may explain why this is a lesser known Disney offering :rolleyes1

And a 3 1/2 day experience is the same price as my 8 day/7 night in WL concierge with free dining plan.
