Just wondering about your thoughts on going to Orlando around April time.

Whats the weather and crowds like mainly?

Thanks :)

We went for our honeymoon in April 01, it also was Easter holidays so the parks etc were very busy and the weather was a little cooler than other times we have been:) still great though and we had a fab time:thumbsup2

We've been in April twice. Weather for us is perfect - hot but not too hot! However if you catch the Easter/Spring Break period the parks are very busy. Still great fun though!

We have been in April, are going again next April and will no doubt continue to go in April.
When we went it was busy as it was school holidays, but with good planning+use of fastpass etc..it was very do-able.The weather for us was fantastic,we still had the heat, around 80's and hardly any humidity :thumbsup2 .We love April+like i said i can't see us going any other time now.x.

There can be larger crowds in April but the weather is gorgeous. Nice and warm but none of that nasty humidity that makes you want to shower three times a day hahaha. I think it gets busier when the UK have their holiday because it coincides with a few different areas of America on spring break. If you can go when the UK kids are still in school it will be slightly better ;-)

We've been in April twice before and echo comments about the weather :)

Yes, the crowds aren't too great but we've just booked, again, for next April so things can't have been too bad ;)

I would recommend april as well, we have been twice in april, weather is hot but not too hot. we will be going again end of april beginning of may next visit.

Easter falls in April next year and I would avoid that time as it is the busiest time of the year for the parks. I would leave it to towards the end of the month to miss the Easter crowds.

We go next April 7th, yes it is busy especially over Easter weekend but the weather is ideal.
Has to be better than the hot summer months anyway.

If you can go later in the month I agree it will be quieter - but if like us you have children then it's not so straightforward with the school holiday's being over the Easter period.

Getting to the parks early is as ever important when it's busy.

We are flying out March 26th and returning April 10th and cant wait. After the 'summer' here tehn temps even in the 70s willbe very welcome. I have been a little concerned re the water parks and it being too cold but it sounds like it will be OK according to your posts. We have booked a day wih Discovery Cove for the first time this time around, as our DS is now 7yrs and old enough to swim with the dolphins -hope it is as great as everyone says

Weather end of March should be fine, late February or early March can be on the cool side occasionally.

For Discovery Cove by the way if you want to guarantee a morning swim with the Dolphins, get there very early. ;) It also gives you the chance to have breakfast there which as you know is included in the price, this way you get full value for money.

We're going during the UK Easter Holidays, we've dealt with July and August crowds before so hopefully there wont be too much of a difference.

Thanks for all your replies, it's put our minds at ease :goodvibes

.Apparantly people say Easter is busier than July/August-but give me Easter crowds anyday over Aug heat :thumbsup2 .
Any plans on where you will be staying yet?.x.

We were there in April this year and I have to say the weather was lovely, during the days. I will say that quite a few of the evening's were much, much cooler than in previous times I've been. We ended up buying jumpers in MK one night because it was that cold! It was like a free-for-all swiping jumpers and jackets from shops!! :lmao: The comment from a CM made both me and DBF laugh - "You guys are from the UK aren't you?" She knew this because it took us a LOT longer to realise that we needed jumpers that evening than the Yanks did, we were strolling around in our t-shirts and shorts :lmao:

Crowds were good, we just missed the Easter break though, so I think that helped. There were quite a few US sports school teams about during our time there too. But all in all, crowds were very manageable. The longest we queued was for EE, that was about 20 minutes :thumbsup2

If you've been in July before you'll be fine... the lines aren't half as bad when that nasty humidity isn't there. You get used to the lining up!

It's true... the brits can be spotted very easily when you work at WDW haha. The males especially... when they wear those trousers that are not quite trousers but not quite shorts... there is a name for them but I don't know! It's very European... not trendy at all in the US haha!

Yeah, the weather will be more bearable which is a good thing :)

Hopefully the crowds wont be too bad, but my idea of small crowds is like 40 minute waits so, who knows.

We stay offsite every year, more convenient for us :P

And yeah, Brits can always be spotted on holiday :P

We have been at the end of April, a great time to go :)

We stayed late Arpil last year and the weather was great, nice and warm and not too busy, hardly any rain....actually we had about one 1 hour in two weeks

Hiya -

we went this April - Easter was in March this year but our school hols were April - I like it when that sort of thing happens.
The weather was fantastic - though changeable!!!!! We had days of 28 deg and days of 12 deg!!!! (though when we finally left Gatwick there was an inch of snow on the ground here.. so 12 deg was fine!) BUT HUMIDITY WAS NIIIIIIICE AND LOW!!!! That is the big plus for April. Crowds were lightish when we went - outside of easter.... but were still heavy at the weekend. (that's what FastPass is for...)

We have been last 2 Easters
Last year 7th-21st April. 2nd week great weather but 1st week so cold, longs and Jumpers all day.
This year last week Mar-1st Week Apr. 1st 2 or 3 days cool, after that great weather.
We prefer hotter weather, August is perfect temps but if you like it cooler then April can be good.
Crowds are crazy at Easter but after Easter it gets quieter.
