Disney hotel shops - AKL

Does each Disney hotel have it's own shop and what kind of stuff do they sell. From that I mean in the way of food and drink.

I'm due to stay in the AKL

And they have a good selection of staple items. It's not your grocery store of course, but I think you should be able to get by with what they have.

when we were there in February they had basic sodas & juices, wine and beer, milk and chocolate milk, snacks (potato chips/cookies and such), disney candies and snacks. I don't remember if there was anything much more than that...usually its only the stores in the resorts that have rooms kitchens (boardwalk, beach club etc.) that have a bigger selection of food.

We love the store at AKL (aside from the super-high prices for food). They have a bunch of unique African items (art, beads, sculptures, etc) along with the usual t-shirts, hats, toys, etc.

If you are looking to grab something to eat AKL also has a counter service restaurant called the Mara. It was hot food as well as snacks and drinks. I think it's open until 11pm.

the AK also has wonderful authentic African wines and Tusker Beer in the food court that are awesome! a little pricey but its nice to try something from the region!
