I don't drive much so fuel perks don't work for me and Best Buy isn't convenient so that doesn't work well either. I personally just buy my Disney gift cards with discounted Wal-Mart gift cards at Sam's making my discount roughly 10%.

Sorry, I’m new to all of this. How does one go about getting discounted WM gift cards? (I also don’t normally shop at Walmart but am considering the sams Groupon deal...)

One way is to buy them online from a gift card reseller, especially during a promotion, like Raise. Another way is to take advantage of offers from credit cards. Chase and Amex have had offers for shopping at Sam's and/or WM. You can use these offers to buy WM gift cards.

I think my local BB people think the same thing when I am collecting Shopkick kicks there. I'm in the store for nearly an hour each time, wander from department to department, and never buy anything.

I just tell them what I'm doing when they ask if they need help. They've either say nothing or oh ok. I'm sure some stores get more than others but occasionally I'll see someone at Target doing kicks or the barcode is already turned out, so I know there's plenty around here that they probably get them in there from time to time. I need to do some scanning there this week too, I'm over 9k and going to WDW in Nov, I need that gc before then

Ok, help me out with WalMart. I've been lucky and all the giftcards I've wanted to buy have been in a square display right in front of the registers. After strolling through parts of the store and not finding anything i was looking for, I stopped at the GC display and they had nothing but restaurant, subscription/services, and serve type reload cards
Where else in the store should I look for Disney cards? I had gone through the card/party section, but I wasn't near electronics. I'm used to Target that has gift cards literally everywhere around the the store (registers, electronics, greeting cards, and every other side cap)

If anyone has a Chase Freedom card and needs to meet the Quarter 3 spend for bonus Ultimate Rewards Points - Walgreens is part of the category along with gas stations - buying your Disney GC at Walgreens is a huge help - we don't quite spend $1500 on gas per quarter now that the kids have flown :0

There was a sign in my Walgreen's saying that gift cards including visa gift cards, would get bonus Walgreen's points from 8/19 - 8/25. I assume someone in the store made a mistake and put the sign up early. I don't remember all the details so I don't know how many points you get and whether Disney gift cards were included.

I have a 10% off Staples offer from Bank of America ($11 max), a 10% off office supplies purchase from Amex ($5 max), and a $5 off $25 Staples purchase offer from Amex as well.

Can I do something like this?:
Buy a $200 Mastercard GC from Staples for $202 ($200 + $7 activation - $5 off sale)
Split the payment: $90 on my Amex and get $10 back, $110 on my BoA card and get $11 back
Buy 4 x $50 Disney cards at Best Buy using the Mastercard GC and the swagbucks offer - getting $6.50 back for each card ($26 total)
Spend $202, get $47 back.

Thoughts?

The only snag the I forsee would be if the Staples offer on BofA and/or on AmEx excludes the purchase of select items, like GCs. The MC GC should work for the BB/SB deal.

I can almost never get my Shopkicks at Best Buy. They have 3 bar codes on some of the items and none of them register. Mine has also taken most of their bar codes off their signage and replaced it with QR (?) symbols. I still try and luck out occasionally on merchandise scans. That's the main reason that I accompany DH there, lol. This weekend I think I was able to get like 50 points, no much but better than none.
