I'm not seeing where it says it only excludes eBay gift cards?

EBay error in my favor-the terms say per item-I got 2 $100 BB GCs and got 8% back in my ebucks ledger! I was expecting 6%...woot!

I received 8% for my 4-$100 Southwest gift cards. Others have gotten the 8% as well, as long as the denominations are the same and the total of the purchase is greater than $150.

PPDG is sold out on $100.00 BBGC. I think the trend is moving to BBGC since Target GC is not longer available on eBay.

I just dug myself into a deeper hole with this whole Paypal stuff. Wow - how any of you were calm when this happened to you is beyond me! I want to punch a wall right now I'm so upset.

So, in trying to work around the issue I was having, I added a $1 donation to the Alzheimer's Charity, thinking maybe this will work! Sure enough, it went through. Or not. Capital One reaches out to me to ask if my recent transactions are legit. I say they all are but only the Alzheimer's is coming up - not the $100 Best Buy gift card I had in my cart as well. Sure enough, only the donation went through. NOW I am having to verify my identity with Paypal by changing my password, changing my security questions, uploading my I.D., and there's one more aspect of the resolution that it wants me to upload documents related to the email they sent me - except the email doesn't mention ANY documents that they need. This is ridiculous. And to top it off, I REALLY don't care that the donation went through. Why, of all my purchases, are they suspecting that ONE DOLLAR DONATION to be fraud?!

I really don't want to deal with this right now so I will in the morning but holy cow how things can change so quickly!!! I kind of just want to close down my Paypal Account but that's not even an option with it being "limited". Ugh, this is so bogus.

Yeah, my account has been limited since last week. I was out of town for the weekend and had a bunch of other stuff going wrong yesterday and today. I just now logged into my PayPal and I had to submit a utility bill and fill in details about a bunch of past transactions. I'll have to wait and see what the next mess brings...

(I understand buying Disney GC at Target or Lowes to get a discount, after that I am a bit lost) Also what is the best buy deal? I keep looking to understand that as well. Thanks

A small charge like that can be someone testing a stolen credit card before attempting a big purchase.

I completely sympathize with the PayPal issues! FWIW it's not just gift card related. A family member ordered a coffee maker on eBay that never showed up, he complained, got the refund- & now his PP account is also "limited". It's been like that for a month now. And he has never bought a gift card on eBay!

I've actually heard of that many times. However, I added the $1 to a $100 order and JUST verified with PayPal on the phone(with a live person) . So, it should have been a $101 order but it only charged for the $1

I spoke to someone before I tried the workaround. She claimed everything was fine with my account and of course told me to try buying from someone else or contact the seller privately to make payments. I called once again hoping to get someone with a better understanding and I couldn't believe it but the same lady took my call!

I haven't tried contacting them again since the "fraud" issue came up - which I'm not sure why it's a fraud issue since I verified with Capital One that it was legitimate - as I just don't have the energy to deal with incompetent people at the moment.

This makes me so angry. First of all, why is PayPal trying to send customers to their own competitors? Second, contact the seller privately to make payments is against eBay policy and PayPal should know this.

The last time I called the agent said everything was OK but I told her that I thought I needed to answer the questions to get the account unfrozen. She looked a little deeper and said that I was right. All the frozen accounts are over "fraud".

Exactly. Unfortunately, ebay doesn't have a way to flag things like this.

I kept checking today in case we got the flash promo and yay!! My DD25 and I both got the promo, but it was weird. I activated mine on my computer, and then changed my mind to try DD25's first, and activated hers. But I was at work, and though should have had time to do things during a normal lull, it unexpectedly got busy. I've been working with GS and BB since those are working for me. Was gonna put thru the GS gc's first, $1000, in case I got locked out. But, was having trouble with the pymt for the shipping. Got busy so I signed in again to our ebays when I tried again. I couldn't find the deal to activate again! It was weird. Eventually it showed up on DD's when I went through my phone and I saw it there in the banner(wasn't on the banner on computer anymore). She never got an email or message. On my account I found the message in my email that never showed in my computer ebay messages. Very weird.
Then decided I was gonna try one time to do BB, and fully expected I'd have to call in after getting denied. Last week I totally missed the flash promo as I couldn't get anything thru PPDG on my or DD25's account and then it finally denied my server. She had also(lady from PP on phone), asked me to send in ID but that never ended up happening, very glad now!
Anyway, so I put $900 BB in my cart and went to check out. Try big or nothing. And, it made me text verify, twice. And suddenly, OMG!! IT WENT THRU!! I was so excited, this sounds dumb but I almost wanted to cry, lol! Wanted to come here to share with someone that would understand how excited I was. But had to sit there and just be like hmm, nothing special going on. SHOCKED!! No idea how that worked. And then, I got bold and decided to try $500 BB on DD's account and it wouldn't take my last ebay card on her paypal, like it wasn't good, but it was new. So I backed out, then proceeded to check out with my paypal on her ebay account and the ebay card took. I had to verify once with phone, and then complete checkout, in complete shock as it went thru as well!!! I was so excited, got $1400 in two transactions thru PPDG with only minimal verifying(compared to many phone calls in the last two months for any PPDG). I was able to push thru $900 back on Jun 8th promo with much help, so I don't think I have any $1000 limit. I'm hoping this continues! This was so awesome and I'm so excited it worked! I like having more in BB, just in case. Plus I used ebates and that pretty much always goes thru in a couple days. I almost just put in all in GS just to be sure I got the ebucks and to avoid the PPDG, but figured one try if it worked would be worth it.

I don't think I would upload any ID information to Paypal. I have zero faith that they could safely secure that info.
