what small item are you guys adding to your online BB carts?

I've only placed one order so far that went through because I added an item, but not necessarily just any small item. I added ink for my printer, since it was something I needed anyway. I intend to add only items I would be purchasing anyway.

Edited to add - I used BB cards to pay for the ebay card portion of my order, but put the cost of the ink on my BB credit card.

Unlike Target which had a long list of exclusions, Best Buy's list of exclusions is much shorter. I try to find something that I need at a price I'm willing to pay. I'm reluctant to post a list because people tend to focus on those items, like the $0.25 ruler on Target .com.

I was checking hourly today and was so excited when I saw the bonus. I give up. I've locked my account, uploaded my ID, now waiting 2 days for them to verify. Probably triggered that when I tried to withdraw my balance since I was irritated with PP. Husband's acct is still locked. I might try it later, but probably not since I'll need his phone to verify and he'll have to leave. Tried my son's Paypal acct and it wouldn't go through due to suspicious activity.

I did manage to purchase a small item that I was not paying for with giftcards. Didn't earn much since it was under $100.

Instead of calling paypal (I hate talking to computers so I hung up) I sent them an email with my opinions. Then I was on Ebay checkout page and noticed a feedback link, I gave them my opinion as well.

Uh oh. That's how I got banned and let me tell you it's nearly impossible to get back on Paypal. Once I sent in my ID someone must have looked at my transactions and banned me. I'd call ASAP if I were you to try to straighten it out.

(I understand buying Disney GC at Target or Lowes to get a discount, after that I am a bit lost) Also what is the best buy deal? I keep looking to understand that as well. Thanks

Unfortunately, you're also late to the party.

People buy eBay GCs because you can use them to buy other GCs sold on eBay and earn "eBay Bucks" that are as good as cash on anything sold on eBay. However, within the last month, it's gotten a lot harder to get those eBay GCs or Bucks turned back into Disney GCs. Do not attempt if you don't have the time or tolerance for risk.

Just made my first successful purchase through PPDG. Got (4) Chili's/Macaroni Grill gcs, $50 gc for $40 each.

8% ebay bucks, 2% targeted Paypal reward through 6/24?, and 1% ebates, 20% card discount= 29% savings on the $200 investment, so $58 saved

ETA: looks like the PayPal offer doesn't apply to the purchase of GCs

I was able to take the measley $50 eBay gift card that I bought at BB yesterday (using the $50 BB card that finally went through on PPDG) and bought another $50 BB gift card. It went through without a problem. I was thinking about taking another $100 out of the vacation account so that I could take advantage of the 8% eBucks, but I am still about $50 short of my cash goal for our October trip. Once I have that, I will start investing a little more cash into a new churn for our April trip to HHI.

I have $200 missing from my email account, apparently my spam filter deleted my 6/8 order from PPDG...GRR. Ebay says it's in my "messages" folder-but the order isn't there in my ebay mailbox. Any other way to recover them? I emailed PPDG, but I haven't had the fastest luck with them.

Just saw this; trying to buy BB cards and PPDG wants to verify. Not at home. Left my cell phone at home. Only wants to send codes to a phone, so I gave my office phone #, and it says "This phone doesn't appear to be registered in your name. Try again" Well golly gee. Not sure I will be able to make any ebucks this go around - all of the things I need to get are less than $50.

I did $200 today from BB. It's tempting to try more, but I don't want to get locked out. The last 5 weeks I have been able to do $200 each week with one of the ebucks offers. So I will be happy with slow and steady.

So I placed a 3 x $100 BB order through PPDG and got the Ebay checkout confirmation page. I've only bought from PPDG a few times and in very small amounts, so I was crossing my fingers the whole time. Now waiting on them to arrive. I am hoping to have DH run them up to BB and exchange them for eBay and then get the 4 x $80 BP (on sale for $76) to round out my $500 in eBay bucks before the month ends.

ETA: Well I didn't make the second round in time, but at least I gained another $24 ebucks. Hopefully they will run one more promo before the month ends so I can get that last $21

OK, back home, found phone, and decided to just buy something I could use. Found Zappos gifts cards sold by CardCash, which also sells discounted gift cards on their own website. Just got $200 worth of gift cards for $170, and qualified for the 8% ebucks. They have other cards on discount, but nothing that looks churnable. Sigh.

I may try bb again, but right now my LO wants me, and doesn't understand why I want to shop on ebay.

Some of us are trying to take advantage of ebay's bucks, especially during their promotions (like today) when they offer essentially as much as 8% back on large purchases. Ebay has some authorized companies that sell gift cards, and some cards have been useful in the past (like Target). Sometimes you get lucky and can find a reputable individual selling gift cards, but those tend to be auctions, where you pay more than the card is worth.

There is a lot more I could write, but things change all the time, sometimes several times a day, so the best thing to do is go back about 100 posts, start reading and see if anything looks interesting to you. Not everything will fit your circumstances or the stores where you live. The only thing for sure is that YMMV.
