Disney Gift Card Deals

Those that are buying Disney Gift cards from Target they are now out of $100 and $50 cards online. They have been out of $100 for over a month.

That is correct but if you have someone else who would allow you to open one in their name and use the account, then that would allow you to circumvent the rule. My dh has an account but I am the one who uses it. He buys nothing off ebay all by himself lol. He really only shops on Amazon if he does any online shopping.

My DH has an eBay account, but doesn't have a PP account. Can I link his eBay to my PP, or should he open his own? If we use the same PP account, will eBay see that as two accounts or one account as far as the quarterly earning limit?.

Another question re GS, when purchasing through PPDG, can I use eBay gift cards to pay? Can I earn ebucks through ppdg? I'm still trying to piece together how the GS factor can work out for me. TIA!

I always pay with ebay gc or ebay bucks on ebay, except the one time I had to pay $1.95 of shipping with paypal balance because I was already using 14 ebay cards.

I really do not know the answer. The TOS just state that only one account, per person, can earn ebucks. Doesn't say anything about PP. I think ideally if you can have separate PP's,then that is the safest way to approach this. In my case, I tried, and the PP I opened for him never worked (constant errors and not allowing purchases to go through despite being a verified account). PP nor ebay could ever figure it out and just pointed fingers back and forth at each other. We gave up and put him back on mine.

No, it usually takes around 3 days to show up from Ebay.

I hope you are right but mine never takes that long. I have already received ebates credit from an ebay purchase I made yesterday morning...not GC's.

I did a claim & they gave it to me.

They will. But also you can just wait the 3 days and it shows up on its own and you didn't cause a person to have to look at your account. All it takes is someone to notice all the Target bogus qualifiers and you're out hundreds of dollars.

Target I get in about an hour. EBay takes a few days. Maybe it has to do w GCM and how they don't ship things right away. So your purchase of other stuff yesterday might credit faster because most sellers ship faster than GCM.

True, though my GCM has shipped already. I am just wondering if it b/c I paid with 100% GC's rather than paying the shipping OOP like I normally do...?

This is a Your Mileage May Vary post.

At the Texas grocery store chain, H-E-B, they have a coupon that says, "Buy any 2 Theme Park Gift Cards, Get a $20 H-E-B Gift Card Free". I took two of the $25 Disney cards to the register, and the check out person processed the transaction and had a supervisor come over and put it through. One time they did it after reading the coupon and saying "there's no minimum on these coupons, so we're good". I did this twice, on two different days, and both times immediately used the H-E-B gift cards on my groceries. So 4 $25 Disney GCs ($100 total) for just $60. 40% off Disney is nice.

It's not a slam dunk of a deal because a manager could just say "oh this coupon doesn't work for those". But so far, two different managers have put it through without any problems. Good luck!

Here's what I'm thinking...FWIW I may be totally wrong but.... I've done various types of churning before over the years... and once it starts to get 'big'....well a pattern starts emerging, and deals start going away. So if large #'s of people on this and similiar targeted boards are rolling thru gc's in the same pattern on almost the same days, notice will be taken, and small tweaks will be used to make the low hanging fruit harder to get at. I think all this chitchat about timing, and when is the magic moment to hit that buy button is causing some changes. Hence the changes for Ebucks, possibly Target, and GCM for availability. It may be nothing,or a harbinger of things to come, and it will get more complicated, and then it'll go away completely. Tread carefully folks, and be aware of the very real possibilities, esp. when there's so much 'crowd chat' about specific usage. These things tend to work best when people use the info. at their own personal timing, instead of so much "I did this at that exact time" sort of info- I think even down to Ebucks,it makes a difference. I see posts on here for exact businesses used, portals, amounts, and past schedules. Not necessarily bad, but be careful.

Do you mind sharing which HEB you had success at? Feel free to PM if you'd rather. All my family is in TX so I have 'access' to HEB's in multiple places :-) Also, where is the coupon? Thanks for sharing!

And also FWIW, from past history and lots of reading/usage on other boards, Target seems to be friendlier with this sort of activity historically than Paypal. Be very very wary of playing around with PP and multiple accts, switching names, trying to play the system like that. They are historically much more sensitive to shenanigans, and will shut people down faster. Again,I get it, not saying it's bad, just be wary. I have been seen great deals and options go away quickly. I've seen them pop up too, that's how this all works. The key is to 'fly under the radar'....(not to be dishonest, just quiet)

Both times I did this at the H-E-B in Round Rock, near the intersection of I-35 and FM 1431/University Blvd. The coupons are hanging at the gift card display, positioned in front of the Fiesta Texas/Sea World Gift Cards. But since the Disney Gift Cards work at the theme parks, the gift cards do fall under the coupon wording, so I tried it and both times the managers agreed with me immediately.

Think this is ok to do vs opening a new acct with his name? Can it still be linked with my PayPal or should he have his own?
Not sure but it if you want to use the 4x Ebucks it will at least not be in the same name. I've heard you can use the same PP account with 5 Ebay accounts.

I was able to get a $100 Disney gift card for $75.00 from staples.com. I got the Amex offer on my blue cash card $25.00 off any staples.com order.

This worked for you? It says in the fine print that it is "Not valid for e-gift card purchases. Not valid for gift cards in bulk purchases." Maybe that only refers to Staples gift card purchases?
