I tried to put my eBay gift cards in during checkout for the BB cards (trying $300 first time out) and it says "Some payment methods aren't available for this order" at the top and near the box where you put in the code it says "We can't apply this code to your order."

Huh!?!

Got that message last week. Aggravating, isnt it?

I think I'll try the GS route. I called and they said I could use them there. So, is everyone buying them from GCM like we did the Target ones?

You can buy GS GCs from PPDG or GCM. GCM sells physical cards, which I like and prefer because you can swipe them yourself using the card reader that's sitting at the cashier's counter just like any other plastic (credit or debit) card. [ETA: GS's POS system will accept their GCs as payment for other GCs.] Pretty hard for them to tell you that you can't pay GC-with-GC when you've already swiped and the balance comes off.

It's a bit weirder when you're paying with more than $100 in gift cards as you'll have to swipe different cards multiple times. I bought $500 and used 5 gift cards last week. The cashier seemed like she didn't care, but it felt a bit weird doing it. I could see it raising eyebrows if you're in a city that does not allow it.

Well I had to verify my count a number of times, but it did work for me. Already have the GC in my email as well. Now to decide if I want to stop at BB on the way home and go for round 2...

Yes, but GS is more YMMV because there is a bigger change you could be denied at check out depending on the area you live in. The district managers are stricter in more areas in others. Try a small amount before throwing everything at Gamestop as you will be stuck with your funds in GS gift cards if denied.

Must have been a customer service rep or supervisor covering for the cashier. They have two different positions for the different reps and the cashiers training is basically just "scan everything, rewards number, take the payment, and place it in a bag with reciept." The only policies you ever learn training as a cashier is the price matching policies which was very simple when I was a rep.

I think she's a regular cashier. I've seen her at the register several times, and I don't even go to BB that often.

I just had to call again because my account immediately went into the verification loop again. In my case, my PP account was telling me that there were sign on attempts from OH (I'm in MN), but they were always the exact times I was trying to log in, so I knew it was me and wasn't concerned about someone trying to log in to my account. This guy I talked to told me that if your internet provider is based in a different state than you, this can happen. He spoke with his supervisor while I was on the phone with him and they added my IP address, as well as a few other things, so that I shouldn't ever get the verification loop again. Since then, I've been able to put through 2 $400 BB GC orders with no issues!!

I totally get that, but I think it's worse with the GCs from PPDG, which also cap out at $100 denominations. I print out all my digital GCs to make it easier, but the cashier still has to take them, scan the barcodes and enter the PINs. Before that, I'd have to load each one in my emails and show them my phone each time.

I try to limit my purchases to, $200-250 at a time. But with Target out of the loop for now, and my nearest BB giving me problems today, I've been going through GS a lot more often. I have 5 GSs within 20 miles of me that I alternate around, and some of the cashiers are starting to recognize me as the GCs from PP guy.

Just tried to buy $100 BB on PPDG. Got the error and called for the first time. Was told that I was flagged for fraud protection and that there is absolutely nothing they can do to over ride it? Is it worth it to call back. He really made me feel like a criminal!

My order got canceled last week when I tried it. I think that you will have to go into the store and buy the GC there.

I'm rolling the dice with a new gift card seller on eBay - "ngc". Since GCM still hasn't actually refunded the shipment that was lost/stolen by UPS (and UPS confirmed), I'm not sending any more of my business their way. I'll let you know how it goes; as of right now, they sell plastic GameStop cards with free shipping. I'll report back when if/when I receive & use them.

Hmmm. I may have to take advantage of the $100 CVS GC for $88 at SVM. I can pay for my dog's prescriptions with a CVS GC (just did it today) and getting the 12% discount on the price, plus ebates, plus eBucks, plus CVS pharmacy rewards takes the sting out of the cost. Poor thing is on 6 medications and 3 of them cost me $75 today. I know that it's not Disney, but the less I spend on her meds, the more I have in my pocket for other things.

I took a chance on them last promotion. Got my GS cards in the mail today with no problems.
