Disney Gift Card Deals

So my Go To for Disney gift cards used to be buy Target gift cards through Cardpool, and then buy Disney gift cards at target through ebates. but now target gift cards are rarely available through cardpool, and generally only at 4%, instead of the regularly 7% last year. we are trying to plan a little further out for our fall vacation, but I can't find the start of this thread that talks about PPDG, Ebay, best buy, or Gamestop. and how it all works togethor. can someone please point me in the right direction? thank you!

I didn't get it but was eligible for the $20 off $200 coupon someone posted yesterday which is what I was trying to use when I got shut down by PPDG

That is my fear. I wouldn't mind buying a $100 GC for GS or BB and trying to see how that goes but I am worried it will lock up my account and then Target will get restocked.

barely got back from my trip last night. was crazy fun at Disney World, must have been an off week most rides at less than 20 min wait all day.

back to gift cards news, think i caught up no ebay gift cards on target and on ebay no target gift cards.

can you still buy ebay gift cards at target instore?

also does gamestop still accept gift cards with gift cards thanks

Well, I'm getting nowhere fast trying to check out with PPDG. My account isn't locked but no one at eBay or PayPal seems capable of helping. I think I might order GS physical cards from GCM and call it a day. I'd rather have BB as they seem less risky, but I can't fool with this all day.

If Target was in stock, I would have spent $1800 on them because both DH and I got the 5X offer. I wonder if GCM and eBay will realize how much money they missed out on today? Surely a lot of people aren't buying anything today when they might have spent several hundred with target in stock.

I got the promo today and was excited for a bit. However, not sure I want to buy anything unless GCM restocks. Still figuring out my options with all this. I really hate to let the promo pass me by, but I'm nervous about trying to go with BB since my closest location is 30 minutes away and I have no idea if they even stock ebay cards.

I'm sure you have the same problem I do-the final account rep I spoke with at PayPal seemed very intelligent and familiar with the fraud detection computer software they use-he was the only one who seemed like he knew what was going on and basically the transaction will not go through because the computer thinks it is risky for whatever reason.

Yes, I bought ebay gift cards in store at target.
I also used gift card at GS but I bought Playstation GC because my GS doesnt stock ebay.

I wonder too if they will notice their bottom line isn't so good since GCM no longer has Target GC's. I have $2k to spend but instead I might buy a few Lowe's GC and then nothing. Maybe all our Target GC spending doesn't really add to their bottom line and like I suspect for Target, eBay is also losing money on us. I'm not 'business-minded' enough to really know.

Glad you had a great trip! Yes, it seems most Targets have ebay...mine has $200 and lower denominations...and I have had no problems buying those with my Target GC's.

I found loadable ($25-$500) eBay gift cards at BB today. I used my $25 "test" gift card that I bought from PPDG this morning and it worked just fine.

I think I will wait until tomorrow or later to try a larger purchase. I still don't really want to be stuck with EBay gift cards, but as long as I can use them for BB gift cards, I know that I can eventually turn them into the Disney gift cards that I need. This even eliminates Target from the equation altogether.

I wonder how long BB & GS will continue to allow gift card for gift purchase if the traffic there really picks up with Target out of the equation. I really wouldn't be happy being stuck with GS or BB. UGH! Just wish things would go back to normal!

...been peeping in here and there as I was in Hawaii this past week. Lots of crazy changes to everything.

So it turns out the girlfriend can't get a week off from work in August-September as we've been eyeing out free dining and actually booked two weeks in WDW. Sucks, but I'm going to cancel everything I've booked and just keep churning through ebay as long as GS GC is still working. I'm fine with buying stuff through other GCM outlets as I shop at a lot of those occasionally, and maybe Target will pop back up sooner or later. Making my endgame hotels.com is also a nice option through ebay for me. Just a thought.

Keep the dream alive folks. I'm hopeful that GCM will restock Target sooner than later.

Do you still get the 5% Redcard discount if you pay for the eBay gift cards with Target gift cards in store? Do you have to pay for a portion of the purchase with your Redcard and get the discount on the entire purchase?

Obviously you are missing out on possible ebates cash back by going the in store route. But if GCM restocks their Target gift cards before Target.com restocks their eBay gift cards, this could be a way to keep moving (or start moving for a beginner like me because so far all I've done is get Target gift cards at 5% discount).

For in-store transactions, you only get the 5% redcard discount on the amount actually charged on the redcard. So any amounts paid for with a GC will not be discounted. Technically this is the standard for all transactions, however, we have been able to get the discount for online transactions when paying with GCs.

Thanks for the reply. That's similar to how Lowes works with their 5% discount using their store credit card. Makes sense. Now in store purchases seem less appealing.

No promo for my family this time. Kind of sad, but relieved at the same time. We got the last two promos, but weren't able to use them because of GCM stock issues, and boy was that stressful!

I'm interested in this option for my Sept trip. We are adding two extra nights on at WDW and I need to book two rooms each night. I see that hotels.com has WDW hotels. So, if I buy the hotels.com GC's off ebay, I can use those to book a Disney onsite hotel? Any problems with cancelling if that came up?

I believe it starts at around page 730. There are several methods for churning, so you won't find one post that gives you one method. It all depends on what stores are in your area, and what you are comfortable with. PPDG is a gift card store on ebay, btw.
