Disney Gift Card Deals

Can anyone advise??.....This is the error code when trying to buy anything from PPDG (Error Codes: 70245 70358 TRANSACTION_REFUSED). I add the card to my account, log into PayPal and that immediately pops up. Is it worth a call to eBay or PayPal or should I just assume I can't buy from them? I don't think it is a matter of waiting it out because I've tried off and on since GS became an option, so it's been awhile and I've never gotten one to go through. Doesn't matter the amount either. Just nothing goes through. Has anyone had this error code and if so, how did you get it resolved?

I logged onto my ebay and saw a banner, but it didn't load all the way so I refreshed and now it's gone.

Update: i checked out the app and had it on there so i activated it. After that when i loved in online it was on my banner so those who don't have it might try that.

I got the offer! First time since before the last redemption period. Of course, I bought $200 in restaurant gift cards yesterday - figures! Now to decide if I dare try buying best buy through PPDG......I wouldn't mind buying GS through GCM but my GS does not carry ebay cards and I don't feel comfortable trying to buy them online in the store.

That's what I'm not sure of.

Surely if you went in 1-2 times that week, that probably wouldn't be a huge deal. I'm thinking of it this way.. We have ONE BestBuy in town. If I go in this afternoon with, say $400, and I do that, fine. But if I go in tomorrow with $400 again, are they going to be like "WTH lady?!" or am I going to get a different cashier who will have no clue!?

Sometimes I get the same cashier but they never seem to remember me.

I purchased $200 worth of Best Buy gift cards through PPDG. I received the emails very quick with the codes. I then went to BB online and purchased $200 of Disney gift cards. Since the ebay gift cards aren't going through, I figured I'd try Disney gift cards. The order hasn't been cancelled yet. I have had luck purchasing gift cards with best buy gift cards in store.

Update: My order was cancelled for Disney gift cards.

Anywhere from $400 to $550 at one time. I have gone in two days in a row and have no problems.

I even had to have an employee hunt down the eBay gift cards because the store said they were in stock but they weren't out on the display. He went in the back and found them and we sat at the cell phone area while he rang them up asking how it all worked. He was impressed, lol.

Last week they said I needed to call ebay but from what I read on here I knew that wasn't the case so I said no Ebay sent me to Paypal. Long story short is you just need to say you can't check out with Paypal and they need to lift the lock on your account. They will ask you the security questions and then it should work. I just called and while on the phone with paypal she had me finish my transaction to make sure it would go through and it did with no problems. HTH!

I decide to give it a try today. I bought $100 best buy through PPDG and it went through without a problem. Already got the email and printed it out.
I am going to try another $100-$200 tomorrow.

Last week they said I needed to call ebay but from what I read on here I knew that wasn't the case so I said no Ebay sent me to Paypal. Long story short is you just need to say you can't check out with Paypal and they need to lift the lock on your account. They will ask you the security questions and then it should work. I just called and while on the phone with paypal she had me finish my transaction to make sure it would go through and it did with no problems. HTH!

Be aware that if the all powerful PayPal computer deems the transaction involves risk for whatever reason the reps cannot override the purchase. I have spent way too much time on the phone with PayPal this am trying the very same thing. I finally got someone who knew what he was talking about and he explained it. I was trying to make a $200 BB DG purchase that was refused and after speaking to 4 different representatives on 2 different calls I finally got to the bottom of it. Somehow my phone was not transmitting its location to eBay/PayPal (even though I hadn't changed any privacy settings recently) which triggered a fraud alert. Even though I did all the confirmation required and was told my account was perfectly fine during the first call with 3 different reps (who had no idea why I couldn't complete my purchase) I then got a text message my account had been locked again. So I tried to log into PayPal and had to send a copy of my drivers license. I called back again to make sure they got it and would address it promptly and while I was on the phone with the rep he restored my account and actually explained what was happening. Basically if for any reason the PayPal computer detects risk in a transaction it will refuse it to go through-repeated attempts to complete the same transaction will trigger an account lock. So if it does not work and you call they may be able to help you by verifying your account but there is no guarantee it will work. The rep I talked to looked at the data for the refused transaction and told me under no circumstance would it go through as the computer had determined it involved risk. He said I could try again in 24-48 hrs and I may get a different result but that once the computer determines there is risk you are out of luck.

I can't find the post where someone asked about BB but this is what happened to me. I had success with a PPDG purchase last week for BB. Could not buy the ebay cards on the BB website, but took my BB ecards to a store and bought an ebay reloadable with no problem. However, I was also picking up another order at the same time, so that may have helped.

You are right if you get locked out. That happened to me during the flash sale a few weeks ago. Hours on the phone and it never worked.

Ironically I did get that same error message but then my account became locked as well

Honestly it really seems like buying from PPDG is rolling the dice with your PayPal account-Lots are successful but lots get refused and account limitations that take 24-48 hrs to reset
Never had a problem buying from GCM-just trying to warn others what a PIA it is to deal with if you aren't one of the lucky ones

I didn't get it but was eligible for the $20 off $200 coupon someone posted yesterday which is what I was trying to use when I got shut down by PPDG
