Has anyone buy $500 worth of GC all at once at Target? Did cashier took a double look at you?

I bought $500 last week, 5x $100 cards. The cashier just said I hope you have somewhere safe to keep these.

I did last week and they never said a word I have done this multiple times without any issues. We don't have self check out either.

I'm pretty sure I purchased $1,500 in a single transaction once. Whether or not the cashier take a look at you will depend on the cashier. But you shouldn't really care. So what if they double check? When we're talking about this kind of money, they should be double checking.

I did 1000 and 900 over two days last December with their promo. Only problem I had was finding gc. Cashiers didn't care how much.

Has anyone else done this sucessfully? I keep getting an error that this promo is for new users only yet the promo email doesn't say that anywhere! ughhh

I believe it's for new APP users but not necessarily new Raise users. I used it successfully. Bought a $50 Target gift card that was only 1% off and $100 Chipotle gift card at 16% off. $123 total for $150 worth- not bad. (We eat at Chipotle about twice a week so extra good deal for us)

Yes, I used it successfully yesterday. I've had the app before (though I deleted it when I realized it was sort of worthless). I re-downloaded it, signed in and purchase a $100 Universal card that was 0% off. I figured that made it 10% off.

Just picked up a $100 ebay gift card at S+S. I only got the 4x gas points. Still a deal since I have a Chase Freedom and grocery is 5% cashback. I'm thinking it's an either/or offer and the $10 coupon is only at S+S's that don't do fuel rewards.

Thanks for the update!! I did the same exact thing. I'm thinking of applying for the new freedom unlimited (it give you 1.5 points per dollar on every purchase. I also have the ink so I can transfer to a lot of hotel and airline partners. I am over 5/24 so I'm waiting a little bit.

...this might be the end of GC > GC at GameStop.

Well, that stinks. I've been a Raise user for a few years so it's definitely not for just New Raise Users. Sorry - maybe you can send in an inquiry.

We are well over 5/24 but I was able to do a product change on my old Slate to the Freedom. It stinks I couldn't get the sign up bonus but it wasn't too big anyway. Just a thought. Now the Sapphire? I'll wait for that bonus!

As a side point when I was buying a $500 Ebay gc at Fred Meyer the cashier was an old curmudgeon who said "just make sure you have the money to pay for this". Like I had the dubious plan to skip out on my cc bill when I got it? .

I wonder if he meant for that purchase because it can be a real pain to clear them after they have rang them up if for some reason your card didn't go through or something.

I recently purchased $1,300 in DGC at Target and the cashier was actually super excited lol He was a young kid and was like "You could save a lot if you used your redcard!" and when I paid with my gift cards (I used 2) he was like "WOW! I didn't know you could do that!"

Yes. 4 of the 5 were drained by the time GCM got around to checking them. I don't know when they were drained, but it was 4-5 days after I reported an issue with the shipment before they checked.



Yes, UPS is liable. But they're liable to GCM, not me. Only GCM is liable to me and they're not exactly on the ball. I'm doing as much of their job for them as is possible and they still can't get anything right.



Sorry you had such a lousy time with their customer support, too; your experience is not encouraging. I still don't know who this mysterious "2nd tier" involves. I feel like it's when a car salesman says he has to go "talk to his manager".

If there were any other [legitimate] vendors selling Target cards on eBay, GCM would've lost my business permanently over this.

You should file a claim with eBay. When I first started churning I had an issue with GCM where they cancelled my order but never told me! I waited about a week for a shipping confirmation and it never came, so I contacted them and that's when they said the order had been cancelled. I asked them for a refund but they said it would take two weeks to process the refund. I was not happy so I filed a claim with eBay. They looked into and refunded my money within a week.

Womp Womp. Now to order some Targets from Ebay with no promo . I ran out of time before my stinking DL trip at the end of the month. TBH I am still cutting it too close for comfort.

ETA: WHAT??!! They are out of stock again! . There's not even a promo you idiots! (not you as in the members here--the collective buyers of Target cards.). I guess if we are being fair *I* am trying to buy $1200 in Target with no promo. But still. I need those cards yesterday and procrastinated and now I am mad at everyone else . Haha. That's too funny!! I had the sapphire preferred years ago when they gave the 7% bonus at the end of the year. I downgraded it to the regular sapphire which I still have. If I were you, I would go for the ink plus instead of the sapphire unless you go out to eat a lot. I get so many ur points from staples (gift cards) cell bill & cable. I considered PC it to the fu but would hate to give up the the 2 points per dollar on restaurants. I was hoping chase would be a little lose with the rule because it's a new card but from what I've read a lot of people are getting denied do to 5/24.
