Drink Cups

We’ve been Aulani DVC members since, the machines have always been regular soda machines like you find at a fast food restaurant without any special tech. We bring our popcorn buckets back too for the refills.

They had Freestyle machines last time I was there. I don't remember if they were chip enabled. Probably not? Honestly, they barely worked, anyway. I never once got a good soda out of one.

They for sure want you to bring them back. Save the earth and all paired with getting goods to Hawaii isnt as easy as WDW. But the mugs/cups are never intended to be pay once get free drinks for life.

No, I get that, I was just pointing out that the messaging could probably be better sometimes. Also, I asked about the metal cups (I like them better) and they did mention the recycle thing. Of course, I also asked how much would it be if I brought it back, and it was the same as if I just bought a new one. So, when we go back next year, I'm just going to buy a new one (and now I'll have two).

I love the SS ones. I actually will use those at home but not the plastic ones. We take our SS one back each time. They don’t switch up the prints often at Aulani.

Do the SS mugs really keep things cold? I'm looking at the mug as more of a souvenir than drinking a ton of soda while there.

Yeah, and I'm not sure how much the CMs actually care to enforce that rule anyway. Still doesn't make it okay, though.

Not like a stanley or yeti but certainly much colder than the plastic cups.

We use them for the opposite and for coffee.

They are infinitely better than the plastic cups. Actually, WDW had them for a hot second. I believe there was a Skyliner and a Star Wars cup, but I haven't seen them in awhile.

I also still have and use my Star Wars cup. Way better than the standard plastic mugs.
