No, just 10 cents...Do you get the entire $1 off per gallon when redeeming at Shell? I seem to remember not being able to, but it was a really long time ago when I checked.

I think the problem is that none of the regular contributors here want to start a how to thread because nobody wants the practice to get too big. If it does Target, EBay, Ebates, etc will find ways to close the loopholes we all benefit from. Posters here are willing to share their knowledge and experience with like minded savers but have spent a lot of time with trial and error developing strategies. In the form it is currently only those who are equally as invested to saving (i.e. Those willing to read along to develop their own saving strategy) are able to benefit from the knowledge and experience of those who have been doing this for awhile. If you want to start a new thread with the knowledge you have gained that is obviously up to you but it is an evolving process. As such it would require you to update the first post regularly or else it would just stagnate. If you read the early posts in this thread I am sure you would probably find outdated info as well since it was started in 2012. Also keep in mind posters here live all over the country so often we talk about including regional deals in our strategy that aren't applicable to everyone (Giant Eagle, HEB, Kroger, Meijer, etc). This one could be closed, it would be easier for new people to get through
I purchased $300 in ebay at GS with GS cards on 4/4 and on 4/8, both with no problems whatsoever. The guy the rang me up has rung me up nearly every time I've been in, and he said "see you again soon" so I don't anticipate any problems....I hadn't planned on stopping by Gamestop until the next Bucks promo, but this could put a wrench in my plans! Would love to hear other people's experiences given how varied their policies seem to be between stores.
I really don't think anyone was yelling at you, or intending to do so. Reading through the thread is really part of the process. This is not a "Get Rich in 5 Easy Steps" self help book. It's a very involved ever-changing process that you can't effectively pick up in a single post or two. That's all anyone is trying to get across whenever someone posts that question. You don't need to yell at me, I was just thinking of all the new people, sorry I will just keep quiet.
I don't think anyone is yelling just explaining why it is important to follow the thread if you want to join the partyYou don't need to yell at me, I was just thinking of all the new people, sorry I will just keep quiet.
LolOooh! I have an idea. Can we make a sticky/wiki/whatever its called that says we are not going to post step by step instructions, a tutorial, or post a video?. THEN we we get the repeat questions from those who don't want to use their own time to investigate we can say "please refer to the wiki".

There is real money at risk in all of this, and we aren't telling people to read back 200 pages because we want to be jerks and lord the process over anyone, but because none of us want to feel responsible if someone doesn't understand the risks involved and lose their family vacation because they didn't understand how to do ebay bucks, or the risks inherent in Target, gamestop, or whatever. Or they had all $3000 they had tied up in gamestop and they stopped doing gift cards, or got banned from target. And, it is too easy to get caught up in the "game" and spend more than you intended if you don't understand what you are doing, why some of us do certain steps, etc. If you are slowing down enough to read through 200 pages, you're probably about where you need to be on the thought part of this.

And another example of how fluid the whole churning process is and why staying up to date with the thread is so important to be successful. As an update to this, I just spent the evening going to a few different GS and all gave me the same line, "not able to do GCs for GCs". This includes a GS that my mom just went to the day before yesterday and did $100 using the gsdigital thing. Today, same worker, said she can't do it. I would be interested in hearing if anyone was successful at converting GS since the 10th or 11th. We might have to take a road trip to wherever DIS_MERI lives![]()

This is exactly what I'm doing too. In my case, I have to put at least something on my RedCard in order to get the 5% discount, so I work it so only the add on item is being charged to the RedCard. For example, If I order $600 in ebay gift cards (often three $200 cards, but sometimes mixing it up with other denominations), I'll also add in a Target egift card for $30 (which is the amount of the 5% RedCard discount), plus the Ebates eligible add-on item. I'll pay with $600 in Target gift cards (which covers the ebay GC's and the Target GC) with the balance going to my Target RedCard (covers the add on item). This keeps my churning gift cards separate from my add on purchases and makes accounting easier for me. It also keeps me from having odd amounts left on gift cards.
ETA: I've been doing this consistently for the past six months and haven't had any orders cancelled (knock on wood).
