Hi everyone! I'm new here & I have a question about the eBay/Target churn. I've got the process down and plan on starting it next week (even earned $200 through Swagbucks to start off). My question is this.....obviously you need to do more than $200 for it to be worth it so what is the average amount that you guys churn with?

I just got Ebates confirmation on my Disney gift card orders from yesterday - it took almost 24 hrs, but they showed up. My last order from a couple weeks ago never credited, though, so it's not 100%, but it's still working.

You have to limit yourself to, at most, what you can afford to have tied up in non-liquid funds.

I feel like the ideal amount to have these days is between $1200 and $1500. Ebay limits your use of gift cards to 8 per purchase, so if you rustled up eight $200 cards, you could purchase up to $1,600 in target cards, provided you paid the shipping out of your Paypal account. The optimum denomination of Target cards to buy on ebay is $150, so buying ten Target cards would cost $1500 plus ~$12 shipping - the mathematically best bang for your buck.

Well I did manage to pick one up but apparently they are not offering any EBay
Bucks by eBay or Anything through Ebates but hey I will take a $5 savings while I wait for the 3x,4x, or 5x eBay bucks. Hoping for that or at least a Target GC that has face value and free shipping. I was within 10 minutes of getting one Monday night grrrrrr!!!

I started with $300. The smaller amount is still worth it as it will just keep growing. I now am working with about $1800. My advice is start with what you can afford and add to it as you can afford to.

Have you bought giftcards from PayPal digital recently? I am getting that same error and I read somewhere PayPal digital has its own cap so I think that could be my problem.

I haven't purchased anything from eBay in a year and I haven't used PayPal in about 6 months. So that's not the issue.

$200 in cash or Target GCs. I use that to buy an eBay GC on Target .com for 5% off. I never tie up more than that.

For one thing, it's rare to be able to purchase more than one of the Target GC deals on ebay at any time. Of course, if you have multiple eBay identities, that number would be multiplied. But I like to keep things simple and easy to follow. And I don't count on being able to get the 4X eBay Bucks offer, so I don't purchase the full-price Target GCs that also tack on a shipping fee.

Once you have that Target GC, then you can purchase another eBay GC to use when the Target GCs go on sale again. Doing this churn over and over again until I need to purchase my Disney GCs.

I have the advantage of time on my side. I have enough Disney GCs to pay for my DVC dues for this year. I just need to add to my stash for my 2017 dues and to pay for any food or experiences that I want to reserve for my 2016 trip.

My ebates still has not credited from yesterday morning. But I got credited from the day before. It is still working but seems more hit and miss than it used to.

AND, I had never used SB for cashback but did so Monday night when purchasing a gift card through Raise (usually use TCB). It does not even show in my SB pending purchases. Am I just out-of-luck or will it show up at some point?

No eBay bucks earned for eBay gift card purchases. Your eBay bucks will come when you purchase your Target cards.

So I was finally able to purchase the one GC, yay! But stupid me didn't double check if I was signed into Ebates and it doesn't show up there even though I went thru Ebates. Grrr! So now I'm moving onto getting the target GC - hopefully that'll be easier.

My purpose of churning was to pay for a trip in March and if I had 1,500 or 2,000 tied up in target or eBay gift cards that I suddenly couldn't convert to Disney cards I wouldn't be able to pay for my trip. I would eventually be able to spend both target and eBay cards on something else but I needed it for March. So when I would get 800 or 900 I would buy 3-400 in Disney gift cards and then work with the remaining 500.

Update on my ebates, looks like they were just taking awhile to credit (normally its right away) and it didn't update till today- but adding a ruler earned my ebates cash back! Looks like have 100 rules by the start of my trip now lol!

Yeah I'm a little worried that if I end up having too much tied up and something went south it would cause us not to go (I'm doing it all myself & we are going in October). I have read things about how Target may stop allowing customers to buy gift cards with gift cards so I may end up keeping it lower. Thanks for the advice!

I just read some fine print on an eBay bucks promotion that I hadn't noticed before:

"Rewards are capped at $100 per transaction and $500 per Earn Period."​

This wasn't an issue before the $200 eBay gift cards, but could potentially now.

SB it can take up to a week to show it pending and then it has 30-90 days before it credits. If it doesn't show up pending after 7 days send a ticket in.
