I use an irish 5pence piece minted in the year I was born brought to me by a friend who visited Ireland. I keep it on my desk in my pen caddy.

Yes, I got an email telling me of the offer. Hope I get more so check my email everyday, lol!

I just made 2 purchases last night for GCs and got the redcard discount. 700 in Southwest GCs and 600 in Ebay GCs.

Only managed to get ebates on one of them. This usually happens when I make a purchase near the other. I think Ebates thinks they are duplicates and only pays one.

Did you close out of Target and then go thru Ebates to open another Target link? I think that makes a difference.

I have enough floating in GCs that I can keep $1200 in Target Cards, $1200 in Ebay Gcs, and $1200 in transport. So am ready for whatever is sent my way.

I am not worried about the risk, either. Should Target stop accepting GCs to buy GCs, I can always use the target GCs for groceries and the Ebay GCs to buy anything else I need.

That's awesome you have that much cash to play so you are ready for anything! Most of us probably don't have that freedom, but I wish I did!

I use another gift card to scratch off, lol! The most recent cards I got were great, I just got the strip started and was then able to peel it off. Good thing as I about scratched off the number I needed on one card, lol!

I always close out and start over. Sometimes I get the Ebates, sometimes I don't. But, as always, I will keep trying with each order.

I got my ebates with the glue. Took around 18 hours to credit, but I got my confirmation email.

Is the only benefit to playing the ebay round getting the elusive 2-4 x ebucks? I have not tried this extra step yet. It seems to add a lot of work/complexity and money sitting in limbo waiting for the offer to come out. Can someone give a hypothetical breakdown for the savings on a $100 ebay GC purchased at face value (I know sometimes they are on sale and understand that savings) or point me to a post# where this covered? TIA!

I found out another little tidbit that I thought I would share...

With Target removing the ability to combine gift cards online, I decided to "combine" them by buying a new one. I used (2) $5 Target cards that I received by buying selected items (FWP cards) and bought a $10 Target gift card. I did this as a test to see if I would receive any points through MyPoints and I am pleased to report that I did. So, if anyone is using MyPoints, Target is 2 points/$1 and it does work on Target gift cards. This is a nice way to earn a few points simply by combining gift cards.

Does MyPoints compete with Ebates like Swagbucks? Do we need to open in a different browser that Ebates? Thanks!

Technically, you should only be rewarded through one rewards program when you shop at a website. So, if you have the ebates or swag buttons installed on your browser, you won't be able to click through them if you want to be rewarded by MyPoints.

So I did my first purchase of ebay gc and a ruler from target and went through ebates - happy to say that it worked!!!
Now I'm trying to get the $200 for $195 ebay gc on ebay but I keep getting error messages. Is it just me or is someone else experiencing this too. I've tried multiple times on different computers and ipad, using different browsers and still nothing. The farthest I've gotten was to enter my gc number and no go. Please help

The eBay gift card you got from Target could take up to 4 hours to become active. Just keep trying it periodically.

I purchased it yesterday at 5pm - so that's not the problem.
Especially since ebay errors out before I even add the card number.
1. got an error just by adding the gc to cart and pressed on CHECKOUT
2. got an error when I tried to log in to Paypal
3. got an error after being able to add the number (went in correctly)
4. got an error when simply trying to add the gc to my cart
I don't know what is going on.

That's a lot of different errors. I was going to ask if you by chance already purchased one of the cards at the discount yesterday, but based on your image, that doesn't seem to be it either? Many times they limit the purchase to one per paypal account, but don't always state it. For example, my screen says "buy another", but at checkout, I'm not able to and get a different error code. It's designed to prevent an open loop for churning (like anybody would do something like that anyway).

Have you bought giftcards from PayPal digital recently? I am getting that same error and I read somewhere PayPal digital has its own cap so I think that could be my problem.
