Disney Gift Card Deals

For those of you have been doing this a while: Does the $5000 cap per 6 months of Ebay gift card redemption go by the calendar (i.e. Jan - Jun)? Or does it start when you use your first gift card?

Have you guys hit a hard limit on how many ebay gift cards you can buy at Target? About two weeks ago, I was buying $400 in Ebay gift cards from Target and got the order cancelled due to "suspicious activity." I did it a second time and the same thing happened. So I broke it down into 2 $200 orders and everything went through just fine. I hadn't heard of a limit, so just wondering if anyone else had run into that.

Incidently, the ebates credited each of those orders that were cancelled, plus my additional orders. I keep waiting for them to drop off but they are still there as of right now. Thought that was weird.

I just bought a $200 eBay GC and a ream of printer paper that I need anyway from Target. Got the 5% RedCard discount so spent $194.13 from the $300 Target GC I had saved. Hopefully I'll also get eBates. And hopefully the eBay GC shows up in time to get the $200-for-$195 deal on eBay. This is my first time churning through eBay so hopefully it ends up being worth it. We're not planning another trip until 2017 so I have a lot of time to churn back & forth and earn GCs from rewards programs.

Its a rolling 6 month time frame, so you would measure based on your first use.

I may be wrong, but my understanding is that it is 180 rolling days, so there is not a fixed start and end date to the period, but you are limited to $5000 of eBay gift card usage for the 180 days prior to today. Does that make sense?

I still have eBates showing in my account for a Target order that was placed and cancelled on 12/21. I also keep expecting it to disappear, but it's still there. The next eBates payout isn't until Feb 15th so there is still time for them to audit my orders and remove them.

The $200 eBay card is a hard one for me to get an order through on also. Maybe 2 of 8 attempts over the last month have actually gone through. And yeah, same here, those cancelled orders have still credited me the ebates. I won't consider them mine though until they actually pay out LOL!

I've just accepted that I have to enter in a ticket for Raise (and most other Swagbucks) purchases. I usually give them two weeks, and if I don't see the purchase show up I put in the ticket.

I've started doing this on eBates too. Their FAQ says some retailers don't credit until the return period has expired and to give it 30 days but I've put them in sooner. Sometimes they credit me right away and sometimes they ask for a copy of the order confirmation before issuing the credit.

ETA: And I got my eBay GC from Target! Now to wait for it to activate so I can buy the one from eBay...

I got my last bunch of Disney gift cards from Target yesterday in the mail. Four out of 5 are fine, but the 5th shows a $0 balance.
I'm on hold with Target right now and they're saying to call Disney. I don't think that's right at all, they're not the ones that sold me the card.

I know I've read others say they've had this problem too, but I can' find it now that I got back into the thread. Can anyone tell me how to get this resolved?

Same exact thing happened to me today! I received my gift card and immediately went to put it into my disney vacation account. The first time it said error and the second time it said insufficient funds. I called target and they called disney and nobody has any idea where my 50 is!!

Yay, just bought my $200 eBay GC for $195! So now I have $205 in eBay GC and $105.87 left in Target GC. For a "profit" of $10.87. Plus an additional $5.83 if I get the eBates on both orders. I see how this churning game can get addicting!

Question though - is there a way to store an eBay GC in my eBay account? Or do I just have to keep the emails with the GC numbers?

I got off the phone with Target and they insisted that I needed to call Disney. They did send me a $5 gift card when I mentioned the fact that I seem to always end up having to do the leg work when a Target order has issues (they wanted me to call USPS when they couldn't find a DVD I ordered).

Then I called the disney gift card number, I talked to Joey who was very helpful and looked up all the numbers I entered for the day (he was able to bring up my DVA info too). Said he didn't see any record of that particular gift card being added, but said he'd have the gift card money put towards the DVA. Told me it could be the end of the day before it shows up, and it's not there yet, so who know.

Which number did you call for disney? I'm so frustrated. Now, I try to access my DVA and it says I don't have an account! So not only did they keep my 50 from earlier but they also have the rest of my funds tied up somewhere. Ugh
