I found out another little tidbit that I thought I would share...

With Target removing the ability to combine gift cards online, I decided to "combine" them by buying a new one. I used (2) $5 Target cards that I received by buying selected items (FWP cards) and bought a $10 Target gift card. I did this as a test to see if I would receive any points through MyPoints and I am pleased to report that I did. So, if anyone is using MyPoints, Target is 2 points/$1 and it does work on Target gift cards. This is a nice way to earn a few points simply by combining gift cards.

Then I see this and say, ooh, wait, I'm not ready to buy, lol! I converted to ebay cards to try to be ready if I get another 4x, 5x deal ebay bucks deal offered! I see why some are saying this is getting stressful, lol!

I have enough floating in GCs that I can keep $1200 in Target Cards, $1200 in Ebay Gcs, and $1200 in transport. So am ready for whatever is sent my way.

I am not worried about the risk, either. Should Target stop accepting GCs to buy GCs, I can always use the target GCs for groceries and the Ebay GCs to buy anything else I need.

Yeah, I just had to combine cards last night. I have a ton of $150 cards and need them to be at least $300. So I bought a $500 card last night. When that comes in next week, I will combine/buy another $500 card.

I would do the email/mobile cards, but max value is $200.

The $1,000 Target card sounds like a better fit for your situation as opposed to 2 $500 cards.

what about this? I see a 200.00 ebay e-gift card for 195.00.... if I had purchased an ebay gc at target would they let me purchase this with the target (ebay) gc?

I wish I could get it. You can only use 4 GCs at target. 4 x $150 = $600. So I am limited to $500.

NICE! I have never used mypoints, is it like ebates?? My ebates never gives cash back because i use gift cards to purchase the gift cards (even with an extra item added thats not a gift card) but i always combine my giftcards once i get them since i normally buy $100 disney gift cards and only being able to use 4 gift cards sucks lol! So i just combine and combine until i get enough for a $100 gift card and purchase it lol

I always pay with gift cards and I do the same thing to combine gift cards and I get credit on Ebates. I have noticed though that sometimes when you got to Ebates it will show your total at the top even if you aren't signed in. I always open Ebates, double check that I'm signed in, then go to target from there. Maybe that is part of the problem?

This morning i double checked that, i went to ebates, logged in and hit target - i even hit the apply coupon thing and it told me i was earning $5 back but still nothing in my account It shows in my shopping trips but no cash back. I tried a ruler this past time, maybe i'll try another supply next time lol!
