Disney Gift Card Deals

I'm so mad because I booked my reservation so long ago and didn't know about this. Booo!!!

While I know the Ebay Target deal is over, I am wondering if Target is no longer selling Ebay cards at all. They are no longer listed on the website.

Correct, Target is at this time not stocking Ebay GCs at all. I'd guess at some point they will again... but at regular price, that part of the cycle is a lot of work for a tiny % saved. So we really need them to both stock them and put them on sale for it to be good.

Does anyone know if there is any kind of limit that Target puts as to number of Disney Gift Cards you can purchase? Also, does anyone know if you can stack your pharmacy rewards on top or did I read somewhere that had been discontinued?

Thanks in advance for any advice!!

3x$100 GCs and/or 4x$50 GCs in one order, but you can keep ordering over and over. Pharmacy rewards will not stack. That ended a long time ago.

Ebates definitely works. I did it on Sunday by adding a pack of boys' underwear. I've tried before but kept adding stuff that didn't qualify (e.g., hand sanitizer, hair products) and it didn't work.

how do you know if it works or not? (before you confirm the order).

Thank you!!

You find out within 24 hours after the order is placed. If you put something in your cart which is not excluded (e.g., clothing) with Disney gift cards you will get ebates on the entire purchase.

Awesome, thank you for the quick response!

Okay, so for anyone else that may have dropped the ball like I did and didn't realize you could do all this...

I signed up for raise.com and used a promo code to get $5 off, bought the target gift cards at raise.com (roughly 5% off), and signed up for the target red card debit card (I also signed up for the credit card, and even though I got approved, the card wouldn't go into the mail until another 10-15 business days, which would've been too late for me and the debit card is automatic), I then used ebates to get to target, bought a bunch of gift cards and other random stuff I wanted. Assuming the ebates works, I saved 12%, which isn't bad considering I did all of this in 4 hours.

For newbies like me: don't combine all of the gift cards if the amount will go over the purchase price of your cart - you need to be able to insert your target red card in the credit card portion otherwise you won't get the 5% off and you end up buying a bunch of things you don't want because you can only buy a maximum of 3 $100 GCs and 4 $50 GCs. Live and learn... :sad2:

Thank you to everyone here for helping me through this!!

I am also a newbie and about to do this for the first time. So, are you saying you had to buy other things besides just the gift cards and make sure you have lots of gift card$$ available or at least enough to cover what you are purchasing so if I am buying $300 in gift cards, make sure there is $300 in gift card so my red card does not have to be entered? Just want to make sure I don't blow it now that I have bought the raise target cards! Thanks!!

All of these savings stories are so inspiring. I have a question about the straight 5% Redcard discount. If I purchase disney cards online, using Redcard as default payment, will it let me change my alternate payment to my Disney Chase card? Or does that only work with Target Gift cards....keeping the 5% discount. It's only 1%, but it all counts. Thanks in advance for your advice.

Not super impressed with Raise so far....my first order was "bogus" ...called raise - waited 30 minutes and when I was "next in line" they dropped me into voice mail. When I elected to go back into the queue vs. leave a message I was put back right where I started as caller 16!!! Ugh! Thank goodness the card I purchased was not huge or I would be really fuming! Just had to vent. So far am just frustrated.:headache:

No, its only if you pay with GC; not an alternate CC.

I've actually had really good luck with Raise. Once you get verified, they send the cards instantly. So while it may be frustrating in the beginning, its great once you get going. Don't worry--it gets better!

I'm leaving in 2 weeks....so no time to wait on target gift cards to come in the mail. What would be the quickest way to grab some gift cards with the biggest discount? I'm thinking of using my topcashback savings to get a Walmart egift card from cardpool (around 2.5% savings) then having my mother in law use my Walmart egift card at Sam's in store to buy a $150 pack of disney gift cards (around 5% savings). Basically I won't have to pay anything out of pocket...but wondering if I can get larger discounts than the cardpool/Walmart/Sam's combination saving about 7.5% and still be able to get the gift cards quick. Hubby is on the edge of actually letting me book the bounce back offer while we are there...so I need some extra gift cards to put the deposit down. :tigger:

When I am tight on time, I do the Sam's route, as I can have the cards in hand instantly. I actually bought Disney cards there today using WalMart cards that I earned through a variety of apps and bought on Cardpool. This assumes you are already verified through Cardpool? That can take a while.

Not a Disney deal, but if anyone is interested:

$5 Gift Card from Amazon
Everybody loves a good freebie, and Amazon is aiming to please this week by giving away a $5 gift card to new users of its app. If you’ve never used the Amazon mobile app before, just download it and sign in with your Amazon account, and you should see the $5 credit in your shopping cart within a week. Offer ends September 10.

Obviously I'm a newbie too, so if I write anything that's incorrect, someone please feel free to correct me.

If the amount of your raise target gift card is more than the amount you are purchasing in your target cart, it won't give you the option to use the red card, which would give you the 5% discount. For me, I wanted to buy $500 in gift cards, which is the maximum you can do at any one time, but I had more than $500 in raise target gift cards. So it wouldn't let me insert my red card numbers because the gift card covered everything. I had to purchase other things to go over the gift card amount so I could insert the red card numbers. After the 5% discount, my entire purchase went below the raise target gift card amount, but I didn't get to maximize my savings because I ended up purchasing non-Disney gift cards since I couldn't buy more than the $500. I hope that explains it better.

While I do not doubt that this was your experience, it IS possible to pay for your Disney GCs entirely with Target GCs.

AND it is not necessary for the Target GCs to be exactly the amount that you need to cover the cost of the Disney GCs. You do not need to add items to your order just to total more than the Target GC value.

The key is that you have to have your Target REDCard saved in your account. Then switch from the REDCard to the Target GCs as your preferred method of payment for the order.

You need to set your default payment method as your Red Card in your account settings. Once you do that, you will be able to go all the way to the last screen with your red Card as your payment method, and when you see "Complete Order", click the little red link that says "Pay with a Target Gift Card" on the lower right. You can then pay your entire balance using gift cards, but still get your 5% Red Card discount.

glad you guys corrected me and wish I knew that before hand!! Thanks!

I also went on the Target chat to ask the customer service person the question and they told me it was not possible to get the 5% red card discount if the gift card was enough to pay for everything. Good to know their customer service isn't correct.

I know some people have success in getting ebates to work if they add something besides the gift cards to their order.

I just go through mypoints.com to get the points when buying only the gift cards. It always credits even though I am buying the disney gift cards with Target gift cards.

I think I remember seeing,if you add something else to the order it works with shopathome.com too?

Thanks for this! I never get the ebates CB, but don't usually combine with other items, so will try MyPoints next time!

Of course according to Target you cannot get the 5% when paying w GCs. It is just a website glitch. Please do *not* call Target asking them to get you the extra. Nothing will get a glitch fixed faster than repeat people calling Target insisting they should be able to get the 5% off and saying everyone else does it. Ask here if you have trouble, not Target.
