Disney Gift Card Deals

I didn't think the Redcard discount was good on gift cards. I thought it worked for Disney cards because they are "entertainment cards" rather than gift cards.
That's a fallacy. The discount works because they are not Target GCs, nor are they prepaid GCs (like Visa, MC or AmEx). It has nothing to do with being an "entertainment" GC.

Yep! It works on the Starbucks cards for sure.

Can someone help me figure out what I am doing wrong?
I logged into my Target account and clicked on "make your red card your default card" but when I go to checkout my red card isn't there and it is asking me to enter my credit card info?

Try logging out and closing your browser. Re-open your browser and go to the Target website and log in again.

Target sells Starbucks cards online. So once you purchase your Target cards from Raise, you can then purchase your Starbucks card from Target, using your Red Card discount. An extra step but you'll get your Starbucks card and save a little extra.

Jodie
Jodie, have you done this? I most definitely have a Starbucks problem but never thought to try buying starbucks gift cards with it.

This thread just popped up here on the boards. Apparently Discover will be promoting the use of Apple Pay soon with 10% cash back on Apple Pay purchases! I don't have a discover and am not sure how "cash back" works but someone did mention maybe try buying target gift cards at Toys R Us for the discover discount using Apple pay then using those gift cards to buy disney cards with red card discount online. More info here!

Does anyone know if I go back to Target and reload a gift card do I still get the 5% off if I use my RedCard?

Are you talking about reloading a Target GC by using your REDCard? You don't get a discount for purchasing Target GCs.

Disney GCs are not reloadable at Target.

Correct, Target is at this time not stocking Ebay GCs at all. I'd guess at some point they will again... but at regular price, that part of the cycle is a lot of work for a tiny % saved. So we really need them to both stock them and put them on sale for it to be good.

3x$100 GCs and/or 4x$50 GCs in one order, but you can keep ordering over and over. Pharmacy rewards will not stack. That ended a long time ago.

Do you know if Target limits the number of cards you can purchase in the store at one time? I am thinking of going tonight and buying 25 gift cards to finish paying off my trip. I also don't want to make a fool of myself at the register... :/

It all depends on the store. Some of them enforce a limit set by the store manager. Others will not have a limit. You're more likely to run into a problem with the daily limit set on your credit/debit card than you are to be restricted in the number of GCs that you would be permitted to purchase.

Back in 2012 when the Pharmacy Rewards stacked, I bought 119 gift cards in store in one lump purchase. :) 25 should be no problem.

I have purchased Target gift cards from raise, then used them to purchase Disney gift cards from Target.

I just opened a Disney Vacation Account to get another 2% in gift cards (I am putting them towards our 2016 Adventures By Disney Vacation so every bit helps). Just want to confirm that the Disney cards that I put into the account are eligible for the 2% or is it just money transferred from my credit card?

Also if I purchase a $1,500 Target gift card from Raise and then use it to purchase Disney Gift cards from Target using my Red Card will I still be able to use the remaining balance on the Target gift card (approx. $80.00) to purchase additional gift cards? I am waiting for my Red Card to arrive and need to clarify how to best utilize it. I only got it to put towards Disney gift cards for the upcoming trip.

Hope this makes sense!

In June I was only allowed to buy 15 DGCs at a time in store. I think it depends but she (the cashier) did say the register would not allow her to ring up more than that in one transaction. Your best bet is to just go and try.

Yes, it qualifies. Just make sure your account is open for 120 days before you spend the money.

Of course any balance left on any Target gift card is yours to spend on whatever. More gift cards or any regular stuff too.

I haven't bought cards in 2 weeks and just wanted to check...is Cardpool still taking hours/days to deliver orders or is it just isolated incidents?

The longest I've ever waited was about 6 hours and that was only 1 time. I just did it this morning and as soon as I clicked submit in Cardpool I went and did a send/receive in my email and the code was there. That's generally what it's been for me. But I've been ordering from Cardpool for years. We almost never eat out without a gift card :)
