Disney Gift Card Deals

Haha... Evie you and I are going through the same process. I just went to Target to buy stuff and they had a $5 gift card for what I bought...go figure. So now I have the gift card to load into my phone. My question...After I purchase Raise and I combine it to my gift card, when I go to buy my Disney card on Target.com....do I have to use my phone or is the Target website attached to my account?

I planned to use the mobile app, but I think it did log me in with the Target website "account" or whatever from when I had ordered items online before. So I think they are linked, hopefully someone can confirm?

You can make your purchase on the Target website but you will have to re-enter the GC information during the checkout process.

One another tip for buying Target GCs from discount sites like Raise, CardCash, etc. Never, ever, ever use any payment method other than a credit card. Don't use a debit card, don't use PayPal. If for some reason one of the discount sites won't stand behind a card you purchased, you can appeal to your credit card company to reverse the charge. Getting your bank or Paypal to do that is a much more difficult process. (And yes, I do pay my CC balances off in full each month, FWIW).

Okay, I had a window of time so I tried it. LOL.

Bought a $54.98 Target gift card off CashCard with the discount of 6.3% plus the 4MOREOFF promo code, so I got it for $49.46. Received the info in less than five minutes and immediately added it to my Target gift cards, then combined it into my physical card base, and now my gift cards only shows my physical base card with my original amount plus the $54.98.

Of course, Disney gift cards are still unavailable via target online so I have to hold off on that part. Question on that end - how risky is that part, since they are mailing a gift card to you? Anyone get stuff stolen? Just curious.

ETA: I did use my Disney Visa, just so I can get my wee little 1%. We don't have any cash back cards and this is our catch all right now.

Another promo I see but not sure if it is current is for Raise.com. $5 off your first purchase of $75 or more. It's better than nothing... raise75af

So for chuckles...A package with 1 $50 gift card was at my main post office 30 minutes from my house for 2 days. It left last night and in now a state away. I emailed UPS to see what the issue was and to see if they could redirect it (it is after all their tracking number) but they say I have to work with Target. lol. I replied that it was a UPS tracking number and that their lack of responsibility for anything with the name INOVATIONS on it was a cop out. Of course I will not hear back and will have to play the waiting game. At least it is the package with the $50 card and not the ones with several cards in it. I did notice that my orders with higher dollars have been shipped FedEx instead. It will still come USPS, I am sure, but any over $200 where shipped FedEx. I don't usually order more that 2 at a time I have seen this.
Just wondering if you got your package yet? Mine finally showed up this afternoon. It had been at my local post office since Monday! The good news is that both of my GCs were activated and had the right amount on them. So, I'm breathing a sigh of relief. I hope yours have also shown up by now.

Yep, got it today. And, it's activated!! So far I have a 100% activation rate. I shouldn't say that because I have another order for me and someone else's large order that I did for them arriving early next week. Their order was the first one I received bad cards from a discount site right after saying I had never had a problem (so I am crossing my fingers, lol.)

Please tell me the jig isn't up! I've just come lately to this thread and this triple-dip Target/Disney gift card thing, reading back a long ways to get the gist of things. I've ordered a few discounted Target cards through Raise in the past week, as well as redeeming swagbucks for "free" cards. Went through all the recommended steps for those Target card purchases, and was reassured by frequently repeated posts not to worry about "Out of Stock Online" at Target.com; they'll come back in stock...and so I've been checking the

cont....[Ugh! Need new thumbs!]..."Checking the Target website", and - if I'm not imaging things - the Target site now says for $50 gift cards: "Available only in Stores", vs. merely just, "out of stock online"...I'd swear it did not say, "Available only in Stores", this morning...AM I imagining things? Is this significant?

This happens from time to time. We buy them all up and they have to restock. To the best of our knowledge, nothing has changed. It did say available only in stores earlier. That's what they do when they are out online. We are hoping they restock with the option of the $100 cards instead. They might have less problems with out of stocks if they did.

Thanks, so much! I'm sitting here chuckling. I wasn't quite sure, initially, whether you meant that you - like I - needed new thumbs from time to time in order not to "jump posts" as I just had, but if I can [or cannot] complete this post, without messing it up, I'd like to send along my gratitude for the expert insight that followed....which, by the way, was so very-skillfully executed in such an efficient manner! :worship:. I am, once more, grateful. Thank you!

Lol. I don't know how to type with my thumbs so you are doing better than me. I have to go to a computer to respond to posts. :)

My little piece of advice is to add a Target GC that you were the original owner of. Keep the physical GC in a safe place so that you can use it if the app ever punks out on you.

Then load any GCs that you purchase from these discount sites into your gift card app and combine them on that physical Target GC. You don't want to be adding GCs to another GC that you bought from a discount site because you risk having the original owner use that GC for their own purchases and draining you of all your Target GCs. All of the websites will stand behind the original value of the GC you bought, but none of them are going to cover your losses for funds that were later added to that card.

There is no Target in my town, but I'm pretty sure I can buy a physical card at another local store.
---- If I buy Target "printable" cards from card cash, can I store those codes on my Target online account (with the physical card I buy) until Target actually has Disney back in stock?
---Or do I need to install the gift card app you mention above? And if I need the app--which one? I find "Target" and "Cartwheel" apps in the app store.

Let me see if I can explain this more clearly.

Any GC that you buy from one of the online discounters has the potential to be used by the original owner if they held onto the GC number and the pin code (or what Target calls the access code).

Even if you purchased a physical GC and have it in your hands, the owner can still make online purchases with that card if they have the GC # and access code.

For that reason, you want to "move" the funds on those cards to a GC of your own. Adding the GC from Raise (or cardcash, or cardpool, etc.) to your Target .com account is not going to protect you, since the original owner may still have all the info he needs to use those funds himself. You need to transfer the funds to another GC to protect the money. You do this by combining those GCs on a "safe" GC that only you have owned.

To combine Target GCs, you need the Target app for your mobile device. It will link you to the mobile target gift card website sign in page when you tap the my GiftCards link. You will want to add your "safe" Target GC first. Then your new GCs can be saved to the account and combined on the safe GC.

You need the Target app, not the Cartwheel app. The Cartwheel app is just coupons for buying stuff at a Target store.

Well I entered about 2k worth of GC into my DVA today. No problems. I am still waiting on $150 from when the site was glitching a few days ago and eating gift cards. It took 2 phone calls and an email to actually get someone who said I was being put "on the list" of people needing their gift card money placed into the DVA.

I'm trying to check out, but my redcard discount is not applying. Are you having that issue?
