Disney Gift Card Deals

My personal rule is to use the gift cards(other than the Target ones that I can combine with my own gift cards) within 100 days. (I believe that is how long Raise guarantees them.) If I don't plan to completely use it within 100 days, then I don't buy it.
I have only purchase toysrus besides target so far. So many restaurant's gift cards are available at Target that I would use that I haven't thought beyond those. :)

Their site is the worst I've seen it in a LONG time. I was trying to purchase another suitcase and I got to the end, still not taking 5%, then it just goes back to log in, then just sits there, etc. I'll just pick up at the store tomorrow but gosh what a mess.

Thanks everyone for the tip about combining third party purchased gift cards with one directly purchased from target-it is nice to know the balance is safe now

I agree! I would try to search Disney GC and the page gave an error and did not attempt to load. But then back at the home page then the search was accepted. I'm waiting but might go to target and get a physical card to load my ecards. Too much money sitting out there unprotected.

Just to let you know you don't have to go buy a physical card-unless you prefer to have a physical one-you can buy a $5 card and have it emailed or text to you directly from target then combine the 3rd party cards to it via the mobile website
I just did this today and it works-if you try to access the old gift cards I purchased from cardcash it says they are no longer valid and are in forced closed status. i would still recommend using them before the third party site's guarantee is up as I am not sure what would happen if the card was reported lost or stolen to target after you bought/added it to your "protected" gift card

Can you combine Target egift cards from Raise on the Target mobile site to use in store, or only printable ones like from Card Cash? Where on the site can you combine? I know I won't get the 5% from the Red Card in the store with the Target gift cards, but as long as I can use the Target egift cards I got discounted at about 8% from Raise, I'm still ahead :)

Yes. I think they closed the loophole again. I wasn't actually buying any. Just up so I checked but your post made me try. Bummer.

I've been thinking about whether the Target GCs giving the 5% red card discount online is really a loophole that they don't know is there or not. My thought is they know about it and are choosing to keep it this way. A big reason behind the 5% red card discount is that Target saves money because they aren't paying another CC company for transaction fees when you purchase with your red card. But that's also true when paying with a GC, no transaction fees for Target because they issued the card.

So, then my question is, why don't they give red card customers 5% off when using a GC in store? I think the answer is that it would be harder for them to verify that you are a red card holder. Online, they have your card number and can check it against your account information. In store, that would be harder to do and people are squeamish about giving Target any of their info after their big data leak. That's my theory, and so I wouldn't worry that somehow this is a loophole Target forgot to close.

Everything is working on target now. Just made my "large" order. And got my 5%! (Everyone's large is different!). Happy shopping!

Ok, so I went to card cash and bought two gift cards that totaled 47.50 and got them for 42.73. So I guess I am just waiting on my email delivery? Also, will Target deliver a gift card to a PO Box?

Edit- Ok, I went ahead and changed the mailing address to my mothers physical address, since I found out they won't deliver to a PO Box. Other than that, that was easy peasy!!

Gonna hold off on any more purchases until I get that Disney gift card and my other physical Target card, but if all goes as well, I will have $100 worth of gift cards for $86.67. So a savings of 13.3%.

But the PO Box thing frustrates me to no end. I know that Cardpool will deliver to my PO Box because I have bought with them before, but this is ridiculous. My PO Box is far, far more secure than a mail box at my home that would be 1,000 feet or more from my house. I just don't get it. Why on earth will Disney deliver $1200 worth of park tickets to my Po Box, but they won't deliver a $100 gift card when I get one directly from them. CRAZY.

Update- Well I looked at my credit card statement and Card Cash hit me twice for 42.73. Both are pending so I am thinking one will fall off. Anyone else have this happen?

I haven't had this happen with gift cards but it happens. It usually occurs when we push too many buttons. Did you happen to attempt to submit the order 2 times for nay reason? It might take up to 3 days to fall off. If one goes through and the other stays pending a little longer, it will probably be fine. If both charges hit your account, just call them.

Yes, I ordered a card yesterday and I have 2 charges in pending. I'm sure one will fall off in a day or two.

Also, got another question. Does cash card get a dime or so for every card they sell? Because 10.3% off of 47.50 would come to 42.61 instead of 42.73.

It's not 10.3% off-it's 6.3% off $47.50 which is $44.5075
Then you take 4% off the lower amount which is $42.73 (rounded to the nearest penny)

It's just like when you get a kohls or Macy's coupon for an additional % off your total-it isn't added to any % off sales they may be running it is taken afterward-ie a 50% off sale and a 20% additiobal coupon isn't 70% off original price it is really a total of 60% off the original price ($100*0.5*0.8=$40 or 60%)
