I was just able to go online and place an order for a $25 Disney gift card and I applied a $25 REWARDS CERTIFICATE as payment. It took the balance to zero and accepted the order. I did NOT do store pick-up since I am an ElitePlus member and I get free shipping anyways. I am anticipating that the order will get cancelled, but we'll see. The fact that the option for the rewards certificate was there and that it actually applied it to the purchase was promising. There was not an option to apply a GIFT CARD as payment which I believe is a change from before.
I will be sure to report back....I'm honestly not too optimistic at this point, but I was quite surprised that it went through. It did ask for a credit card so to be "safe", I used one of my pre-paid Visa's that I have here that has a whopping $0.99 left on it. IF the order doesn't work, at least I know it won't charge my CC for the $25
My Publix and Target sells them. I think my Kroger does as well but not sure.
Just thought I'd mention that I bought these mastercard gift cards yesterday at my store. The fee on the $50 was $4.95, and the fee on the $100 was $5.95. I think the same as Visa, as someone else mentioned (I haven't bought any of these for 6+ months...). So I paid $296.80 for $300 in gift cards, and will get back $14.84 on my Discover card. No fuel points earned.
Did you end up trying this?I have a $50 MC and $150 Visa from Kroger, I'll go to Best Buy and see if these can be used to purchase Disney GC's.

I wonder what the "system limitations" are? I would have figured that if there were a "system limitation" then it couldn't be used, but since my order is currently beyond the "processing" phase and into the "preparing" phase, and I can no longer cancel or make changes to it, I would assume that it is not a "system limitation" at this point. I will keep an eye on it. I remember when I tried to buy GC's online using BB GC's and the orders were cancelled. The cancellation e-mails usually arrived within the hour. It's now been almost 4 hours since I placed this order and so far, so good. I am starting to feel slightly more optimistic...but still only about 50-50 that this will work.Your online order may be canceled, but you should be able to use your rewards cert in store for a GC purchase. Since you were able to put it in, hopefully it will go through.

Now that you mention it, the last time I was in the store, they had $25, $100 and variable load, but the $50 cards were emptied out. I thought that was odd since there were a lot of all of the other ones, almost like they had been intentionally removed.
I've gotten them at Walgreens. If you have Walgreens there, is check there.
I've seen them go out of stock and then come back a while later.
