Disney Gift Card Deals

I

I'm hoping so too, but I think it won't be until around Father's Day/graduation. I think they were that high from people selling from Christmas.

That makes sense... I thought is might be due to Disney gift cards being back in stock on Targets website.

I was thinking the same thing. As soon as they came back in stock, the percentage off dropped dramatically. They've been in stock for awhile now. I never thought I'd wish for them to go out of stock again!

So, maybe we need to wait for Disney GC to go out of stock and then buy Target GC on Raise for 8% off. Then sit tight with our Target GC's while everyone else panics.... seems like they were only out of stock for a month or two.

In store: You can walk into Target with your Target gift cards and buy Disney gift cards. You will not get 5% off.

Online: You can go on target.com and buy Disney gift cards with your Target gift card. If you have a Target Red Card you will get 5% off. (Make sure your Red Card is set as the default payment then choose to pay with a Target gift card instead.)

In the past the highest on Raise for Target cards was about 4.5% and I've been watching for at least a year. Indeed there are times when it spikes up just a bit, but in general it was usually around 4.5% as the peak. The Holidays helped push up to 8% being the norm because there was so much inventory. I really don't think it has anything to do with the Disney cards in or out of stock on Target.com as this has been happening for at least the last two years I've been doing it.

Bottom line my two cents - know the % on Raise (or other sites) you are comfortable with and when you see it, get it :) The more people that know about these good deals, the less likely I think it will be easy to get the 8% ranges but we can hope and keep our fingers crossed.

Okay thanks! So I could just do two different transactions maybe.

Does it matter on cardpool if you buy the physical card or the electronic one? Has anyone had trouble with the ecards?
I only get the ecards and have never had a problem. My last order was in my inbox in 2 minutes! The confirmation email and the gift card email got there at the same time.

Has anyone been having problems entering in Disney Gift Cards onto the Disney Vacation Account? I have like 8 cards and all of them I am getting a System error when trying to enter them, its been going on for about two hours now.

Sorry to hear this. There must be something wrong with your internet or computer. I just created a DVA added 7 gift cards and purchased Disney tickets. I had to do that because I was told that the department that could help me buy the tickets over the phone was closed until tomorrow. I started opening the account at 9:44pm. My last deposit confirmation email was at 10:24 pm. Do you have another computer you can try to use?

Ya, I tried it on my iphone, same problem. Its weird as two of them worked, but the others did not. I Just hope they are not "bad" cards. I guess I am going to have to make a phone call to fix.

Did you check the cards on the Disney GC app?

Where in the Disney Vacation Account process do you add the gift cards? I'm hoping to combined 10 $50 gift cards into one $500 gift card but it looks like I need to enter credit card information without a gift card option. Am I missing something?

Do you already have an account? Once you have an account, click on View Account Details (on the left) then Make a One-Time Contribution (on the left under Manage Your Account). I've loaded 30+ gift cards to my account. I don't do the reoccurring deposits at all. (You may need to make one to start the account though if you don't already have one set up.)

I ordered 41 Disney giftcards from Target from purchasing from RAise, Giftcardzen, and cardpool. The last order of two cards only had one in the bag. After finally getting to the right department the guy said he would "cancel" one of the Disney cards and he emailed me a $50 Target ecard. So I just reordered the Disney card. Believe me I was stressing over the missing card since I was buying the cards to save money. I have since ordered 6 more and bought $150 from Sam's Club. I entered the 40 cards from Target plus the 3 from Sam's into my Disney Vacation Account with no problems. I just entered each card and clicked back etc. it took about an hour to get them all in but after I pay for my trip balance in June I can request my bonus giftcards and a giftcard for the balance in my vacation account.

My husband asks me is it worth all this to save a couple hundred dollars. I say when we get to WDW we will have $500 in giftcards to pay for tips and extras.

We also have Verizon rewards where I bought a $100 Landry's GC to use at rainforest Cafe an T rEX (DH loves the Lava Lounge)

Btw Verizon charges .59 to ship GC

Does anyone know if you can use a Kohl's or Home Depot gift card to purchase a Disney gift card at the store?

I can sort of understand what your husband is saying. normally I don't use raise, giftcardzen, etc etc. so I find its time consuming. so for me its a balancing act. with work, school and other things my time becomes precious.
So all I'm doing is using my chase visa. I'll turn my points into target gc's then switch them to Disney gc's.

I'll get two or three hundred bucks at most

Raise seems to be the most popular place to buy GCs around here, is there a reason why they are preferred over the others like Cardpool or Giftcardzen?

This will be my first trip where I'm planning to buy GCs for Target to turn into Disney cards since it'll save me about $400 so I was just curious if there's places to buy GCs that I should avoid.

One good thing about buying through Raise is that if you set up an account on SR (
http://www.sunshinerewards.com/signup.php?r=34209) and click through it to get to Raise, you get 1% back on your Raise purchases.
