Anyone know how long Target's been out of $100 Disney Gift Cards? Was going to place an order, but not now..

Not long. I placed my last order last weekend. (First time I've gotten 100s actually, they've always been out of stock when I was purchasing for previous trips.)

Can you explain how that works? You buy things on eBay and then return to the store for store credit that you use to buy gc? So they don't refund to the original payment method?

Yes, you buy things on the Best Buy eBay store. I choose items that you can pick up in store... preferably small items so the CS agent doesn't have to haul out a large TV I'm going to exchange anyways, haha.

You don't necessarily return the item as it goes back to the ebay gift card, but you would exchange it for the gift card instead when picking it up in store. This is key. The CS agent was a bit confused on how to do the exchange, but he brought a manager up that helped with the transaction.

Yesterday I bought around $900 worth of items on the Best Buy ebay store to exchange for Disney GC and pocketed $72 in ebay bucks alone.

Tried to use GS g/c to buy Ebay g/c today at my favorite GS. Never any problems in the past and now sales guy tells system won't allow giftcard to giftcard transactions. He even showed me computer screen. This is in CT so I guess it is going nationwide. : (

I think I've gotten to the bottom of the Kroger 4x fuel points situation. I had to buy a Nordstrom gift card today (anniversary sale started today) and I got one of those print outs on gift cards. It looks like they will be running 4x points 7/27-8/9 which is great because it spans two months. I should be able to get what I need for our August trip finally!

What's a USO gift card?

Universal Studios Orlando. Every fall we do a split stay between Royal Pacific, an MK resort, and an Epcot resort. I've never been able to get USO discounts so this is fantastic - only 14% for me with a 4x fuel but it's better than nothing. I really hate that They won't let me prepay the stay though.

This happened to me yesterday too, it was my first time trying GS. The guy was all confused because he said it shouldn't be happening but he couldn't override it. Guess I'm selling my GS GC.

I really don't need anymore fuel points this month so the sale going into August is awesome. Now I am really curious about the coupon I was able to load to my card. Says 4x on GC through 7/26. Definitely prefer your sale dates better!

This feels...sketchy to me.

buying large amounts of merchandise to simply 'return' it at pickup is sketchy,it will raise red flags,and it will be noticed and stopped at some point (shouldn't take long) What it should also accomplish is a quicker tightening of gc purchases etc at BB. And then detailing the 'how to's' of doing this on a forum..... I have no personal stake in this issue since I don't bother with BB at all, just sayin'....... to some other pp's asking about an 'easy win' for ebay..... if you can't find 'authorized' gc sellers, there are SO many single listings for useful gc's on ebay that can be turned into disney gc's...... walmart,sams,target,even disney itself being sold legally and easily.

Thanks! Given I'm under the gun to convert over $5k (way more fuel discount than I can use!) I did a test run with this and grabbed a $50 card from raise for $46.03 oop. $2 swag bucks. Immediately ordered a $50 Disney gc for $47.50. Ended up with $54.50 between Disney Target and SB for a 15.5% discount.

Between Kroger, EBay, and now Raise I'm more confident I'll be able to convert 100% for a reasonable discount of 15-30% overall and may even get enough to make a dent on Xmas shopping. This thread is saving me thousands this year - I appreciate all the awesome tips posted.

That's great! I'm shooting for around 15% discount myself. I try to avoid the YMMV methods. I hope you know that raise discount code is one time use only. So if you used it on a $50 gift card, but wanted more, you may have missed out. I picked a $200 card and then wished I would've picked a higher amount after the fact.

Raise.com has a sale RIGHT NOW for extra 3% off target cards. I would hurry they are going fast. I used code EXTRA3 and got a 5% card with the extra 3%. I counted about $45,000 worth of 5% cards, but I would hurry. GOOD LUCK!

Sale is through the weekend. If you are hoping for a better discount than you see...wait and stalk the website. I have an alert set and I just saw one list for 8% off, but it was a lower value one. They go fast, by the time I get the email alert they are gone!

Code is one time use only!

Swagbucks has 4% for Raise currently. That could change as I think 2% is more common.

I don't see how a simple exchange is sketchy or against policy as there are no policies that are against exchanges. You would be even able to take the item home and within 14 days you could bring it back with a receipt and exchange it to put on a disney gift card, all confirmed by the manager that came up when the CS agent was having problems with the POS system. I'm just lazy and don't feel like making two trips, haha.

From what the CS agent was telling me at the return counter, is that the third party gift cards are treated like literally any other item in the store in the POS system. The rep was trying to exchange it under the "gift card" tab, but wasn't letting him because it's meant for the Best Buy gift cards. When you pick up the item through the ebay store, it doesn't even show that you paid with a gift card. It just shows that it's paid in full.

Purchasing a $500 item was pretty standard at Best Buy when I worked there. What really raised eyebrows was ringing up the $5,000+ transactions. Now to keep it safe, I wouldn't recommend using this method for BB > eBay > BB churns over and over... but it's a great way to cash out to Disney once or twice.

It honestly felt sketchier for me purchasing GC > GC in Target when everyone was freaking out that week the systems went down and came back up. The Best Buy exchange was no sweat. I would say that it was even easier than Gamestop since no GC > GC transactions was a semi known policy. Most Gamestop employees during the churn that let it slide would even be pretty taken back that I'm putting $500 on a gift card (I think they all make minimum wage).
