and no matter how many TONS of threads like this are created.. and shut down.... indicating that this is a VERy REAL CONTINUING PROBLEM... there are always those posts from the apologists... "gee we stayed at such and such resort with a group fro that country, and there were some girls who were really nice to my kids"

we were at epcot and a tour group was really friendly!

even though, year AFTER YEAR many people post about how horrible they are. we must all be lying......

Or just that some people are more intolerant than others.

And no, everyone is not entitled to wait for anything - little children cannot ride many rides, that's what makes some of those Meet-n-Greets important, so the little children have something to do while others ride the height restricted Thrill rides.

Of course they are entitled to wait for everything. They paid admission. You are making a big assumption about people wanting to ride thrill rides, and being obligated to do so.

before I even read a single post on this thread, I KNOW what it is about. yes the tour groups from a particular country in south america. I was there once in July never again.. yea, I can tell the difference between spanish and portuesgues, and yes these groups are KNOW to be rude, and cut in line and chant an dblock walkways.
yes, I have had personal experience twith this. both at the parks and at the resort where we were staying. we were FURIOUS with disney management for allowing this behaviour. when complaining.. (the screaming and lud chanting at the resort and on the buses, the way they blocked us on the walkways at the resort. throes our belongings off our loungers at the pool and took them when we went to the DSA. the "chaperones" who wanted to fight with my husband because he was smoking in the DSA.
the soccer balls banging against our window at 1 AM.. when we complained that we don't mind if the kids swim late at night, but the music balls against the windo, chanting, wtc had to stop.. we were TOLD.. in NO uncertain terms by a management Cm on a Segway " "July is Latin month at WDW and they are our guests"
no kidding, that's what he said! what am I? he tried to tell me that I should play HOST to them! nope! I am also a guest.
it was their last night and when management finally shut down the home run pool and heard "adults" complaing to the security guard and I actually heard the guard tell them "well, I can see both sides of the issue" huh? BOTH sides? kids screaming, yelling , chanting kicking balls against the room windows at 1 AM?
disney puts up with this because these groups pay BIG money.. and it is unfair to everyone else. we all have to obey the rules? why not these groups?

most of the do not actually have adult surpervision. or chaperones. the habve "tour guides" barely older that they are, who are paid big bucks by parents to enusre their teens have FUN!! at all costs.!

Wow. That's awful.

I think this is the main thing to remember....when these groups are behaving poorly it's Disney's fault. The parks and resorts are highly supervised. If they wanted to stop a behavior, they could. But they don't in many of the cases. Disney's fault.

As annoying as these groups are my biggest complaint comes there are two or three in line for a show and twenty more push ahead of me to 'join' their group.

I am not sure what Disney could do. Tell the Chaperones to make the kids stop? Tell them, cut that out or we will.....what....what will you do? that's what I thought "nothing". If Disney did do something it would look like some kind of bias and would not go well. I can see the headlines and blogs now. I hate to say it but with the way things are these days...all the cellphones, social media, the person trying to maintain order usually looks like the bad guy.

Yes. Stop or we will have to ask you to leave the park or resort.

ANYONE who exhibits rude, offensive, or dangerous behavior that affects the experience and enjoyment of others should be asked to calm it down. If it continues then they should be asked to leave. It doesn't matter where they come from or who they are.

You might be right.. Disney security might order large groups to leave when this happens. Has anyone ever seen this happen?

This thread operates on the premise that Disney is overrun with unwanted tour groups and would be willing to take action against them. That just isn't the case. In fact, they actively court them: http://qz.com/128367/the-happiest-place-on-earth-is-full-of-brazilians/

Then you missed the entire point.

I was being too kind in my description, but all too many times adults cut in front of children or smaller adults at Parades who have already 'claimed their space'.

And if you're example is about rotten eggs, I'm guessing you subscribe to the notion that size matters and are merely punctuating that it's tough to be a bug.

Rude is rude…..like blocking an exit so others cannot leave….like cutting in line because 20 of your friends are already ahead of others….

And no, everyone is not entitled to wait for anything - little children cannot ride many rides, that's what makes some of those Meet-n-Greets important, so the little children have something to do while others ride the height restricted Thrill rides.

Cutting in line is rude, yes.

A group of guests, no matter what size, getting in line for an attraction or M&G that they have paid the same admission to experience as everyone else - just the act of getting in line - is not rude.

If you'r OK with some type of entitlements, then you'd be OK if Deluxe Resort Guests received more FP+ than those staying at less costly resorts?

If not giving up my spot that I waited for at the parade or my spot in line is an entitlement, call me entitled-doesn't bother me. I have waited and offered for the smaller kids to be in front of me only to have the family then want to push double stroller and an ECV in front of me.

If Disney chooses to give extra FPs to deluxe staying guests fine by me, it's their circus and their monkeys. I can choose whether or not to pay the price and have extra or not. You know those personal VIP guides? Man wouldn't I love to have one of those and the perks that go with it, but I'm not willing to pay the big bucks it takes to get it so tough luck for me.

Omg people. If you've ever worked with a large group of teenagers or children anywhere… in a "fieldtrip" type of situation. You would know that the clapping, chanting and song is a way to regroup and get all of their focus on you.

It's kind of a way of reigning them in so you don't lose anyone and you can get their attention.

I agree if they push or shove or cut in front of you in line… Then maybe get your panties in a bundle… But you're really going to get upset over some kids having fun and singing in the park?

I led my entire bus in a "Part of Your World" sing a long on the way back from the luau… The entire bus joined in singing and we all cheered at the end… It's probably one of my most magical memories ever. Guess I was obnoxious but I thought we were all just having fun.

For every good tour group, there is a bad tour group. but...what can Disney Park management do? well..

1) Empower their CM's on rides to ENFORCE rules and guidelines? CM's have the power to pull people from lines and etc...they just dont do it. Most ride CM's are young adults that are, arguably, afraid of or do not want confrontation. They need to be empowered, in some way, to enforce the regulations and guidelines already in place.

2) Since this is an occurance every summer, and every summer threads like this occur, why not just email Disney Parks management to increase their booking premiums! Add in a booking premium for these tour groups that will annoy or bother the regular park go-ers. That way, at the bare minimum, revnues and etc increase = new attractions.

Way better than 99 bottles of beer on the wall...
Last trip, everyone on the bus was dead tired, sleeping children, etc. The bus was silent, the light kept flickering on and off. The dark was wonderful. Then, the bus driver, very softly started singing "Daylight Come and Me Wanna Go Home" (Banana Boat Song). Someone picked it up, then another, until practically the whole bus was singing. It was fun and a magical moment.

Since when do they say that character meets are solely for children too short to access the rides to have something to do? don't recall seeing signs at the meet and greets saying "you must not exceed this height to meet this character."

Anyone who wishes to meet a character can get into the character's line and do so. Even if it is a large group of teenagers.

We had a group do that. It was a little annoying when we were trying to sleep, but rather than complain, as soon as they were done, we sang ursalas song. Got the point across and everyone was entertained.
