today was a very special day for lucy she was going to princess school aka bibbity bobbity boutique
the reservation was at 9am in the castle so once again we had a lovely quite ( quick as we ran late alot on this holiday) walk up an almost empty main street. i took her to check in and the reservation was only down for hair but i had booked the full crown package they said this was no problem and took her to choose her outfit. This was very quick as she had known from the moment it was booked she wanted to be rapunzel .
lucys hair can only be described as a wirey afro and i had been really worried how the godmothers were ever going to tame it but oh my it was slick she went for the bun and it was awesome not a hair or curl out of place.
she looked really unhappy while sat in the chair but we later worked out that was her concentrating on been still face , her face at the reveal was priceless never seen such a huge smile. Daddy ended up getting her the silver glitter shoes before her photoshoot as her only dirty sandals spoiled the effect.she had great fun with the photographer and did lots of poses and shots. i let her choose her print outs as we had photopass plus so all the shots from the shoot and makeover were added to our card .

within only seconds of leaving the boutique she was crying the dress hurt her and was itchy
i told her she had to wear it and we went and got in line to see fairy godmother who was just by the side of the castle . we were borderline about to have the first melt down of the holiday she didnt want to see the godmother just wanted to take the dress off, daddy saved the day and we all had photos with the godmother .
It was princess day so we had lunch booked at akershaus at 12 noon we left magic kingdom to take our first monorail ride of the holiday over to epcot . daddy had tucked toilet roll round the neck and sleeves of the dress as she was still unhappy but with the promise she could get changed straight after dinner she agreed to leave it on .
we were running late norway seemed a very long way from the park entrance so we were rushing again . 3 more toilet stops, this was something i had not expected and i did loose my patience but the hot weather and all the extra drinking i suppose we should have expected it.
we arrived at check in slightly harrassed (me) only to be told we were 10 mins early and to come back soon . The norway ride had no queue so we went in there the boys were expecting to get wetter then we all did silly photos with viking hats with the troll in the shop.
when we went back to check in we were taken quickly through to the photo area with belle, my boys wouldnt have a photo
they think they are too cool for princesses.

we were then taken thru to the dining hall and seated and given our plates for the cold buffet , i had not been too keen on the sound of the menu here we booked it based only on the princess interaction so i was not expecting to enjoy my meal .
i had some sort of chicken flat bread it was really good !! josh chose the kids pizza and arron the grilled chicken and vegetables i cant remember what everybody else had. i also had my first meeting with the disney cocktail menu i had a magic star it went down far too easily so got another , dh had a blue cocktail and another cocktail all were very good . OMG sharing plated of tiny dessert heaven then arrived at the table 2 plates 3 on each i have a mega sweet tooth and these were just dreamy one was so rich and chocolatey
we had a brilliant lunch the princesses were great and had lots of chatter with lucy who was a bit shy at first , she didnt want to do the parade but then her arron took her and she had a great time . this was also the most expensive meal we had while in disney the bill was about $270 plus tip but we did have 4 cocktails so that bumped it up quite alot .
i was hoping she would have forgotten about the itchy dress but no it was the first thing she said as leaving so i took her in the toilet to change back in to her clothes. then it was my turn to feel like the worst mother in the world all under her arms were big red marks like grazes almost were the dress had been chaffing her
