canada: cheddar cheese soup. i know this is really popular but i thought it was kind of salty.
IMG_2455.jpg

cheese trio. this was my sister's. she said they were all good.
IMG_2870.jpg

poland: pierogies and kielbasa. we're slovak so i'm used to the real homemade variety. these were really good! notice mine is the one without sour cream, lol. i'm not a fan.
IMG_2880.jpg

italy: i got the canneloni and the polpetti. the sauce in the polpetti was really tasty! can't say the same for anything else, though. the melted cheese on the canneloni you can see is cracked because it had been sitting out and hardened (when i ordered it they handed me one from a counter full of ready made portions that were who knows how many hours old). the meatballs were dry on the inside and the breadsticks were hard as a rock. i did eat all of it though. i can cook better italian food than this. i put my extra polpetti sauce on the canneloni and it improved it.
IMG_2897.jpg

last one i have is from paris. my favorite kiosk! milk chocolate creme brulee which tasted just like chocolate milk. so delishous i wish the bowl was bigger :( i also got the cosmo slush which was super refreshing and had great flavor. one of the best cocktails i ever had! A+ for paris!
IMG_2941.jpg

We loved Coral Reef! Mom and Grammy both got the mahi mahi. I got the chicken with spaetzel and my sister got beef. We all raved about our food here. Can't wait to go back with my hubbie-to-be in April!

my chicken. flavors were divine. chicken was very moist and savory and the bacon was not overwhelming. asparagus was good if a bit on the al dente side. I think there was some kind of broth in this too.
IMG_2462.jpg

sis's beef. she cleaned her plate.
IMG_2463.jpg

and the mahi mahi.
IMG_2464.jpg

sorry I only remember the details of my own food!

cloudberry horn from norway CS which was unbelievably yummy. the pastry part was just as good as the custard on the inside. we also got a schoolbread (because I had heard of it on the DISboards!!) which was loved by all as well.
IMG_2882.jpg

all varieties of goodness in the french pastry shop.
IMG_2936.jpg

the one we selected. (awfully similar to the cloudberry horn, yes?)
IMG_2938.jpg

other stuff we got from world showcase was the yaki gori (or yaku gori?) which was just as good as everyone on DIS says it is (I got the tangerine) and the frozen fruity drink from morroco (I got watermelon). both were very refreshing and delishous and I totally recommend them for a hot day. unfortunately i didn't get photos of those!

Pizzafari - my go-to place for pizza in the parks. I like that you also get a little caesar salad with it. everything was tasty as usual.
IMG_2553.jpg

Tony's - I know this place gets all kinds of review on these boards from horrible to fabulous to just ok to inedible. It honestly wasn't my favorite meal of the trip, I was a little disappointed. I think I would give it another chance though, because it wasn't all bad.

The soup of the day was pumpkin. I was the only person who didn't order this because I don't really dig pumpkin. Everyone raved about it so I gave it a taste and it was AMAZING! It was on level with the butternut squash soup at Boma.
IMG_2700.jpg

I didn't take pictures of everyone's meals, just mine. I got the chicken parmesan. Chicken parm is my favorite and I order it everywhere, and I've had worse than Tony's but I've also had way better. The chicken itself was alright. The pasta was kind of gross and overcooked. I also could have done without the giant garlic bread thing which was hard as a rock. I ate one bite of that and didn't eat anymore of it. I did get the homemade ginger ale (sorry no pic!) which was really yummy. It tasted like normal gingerale but better.
IMG_2701.jpg

I've eaten at 50s Prime Time Cafe before and liked it. This time I thought it was just eh. I really think it depends on what you order. We met up with some friends the day we were at HS and we all ordered something different (including meatloaf, fried chicken, the roasted pepper ratatouille thing and pot roast). I think pretty much we all liked our food, with one exception.

I got the chicken caesar salad which was just ok. Honestly the little side caesar at Pizzafari is better! The croutons were just so huge I couldn't get them on my fork lol. The chicken was a bit dry too. In the pic you can also see my vanilla milkshake which was huge, thick, and delish.
IMG_2843.jpg

Anyone who's been to 50s know that it's an experience. This time, the poor person to get picked on was my sister. She got the fried chicken which came with southern collared greens. Being from NJ, none of us really have had collared greens before. Well, sis didn't really liked them AT ALL and tried to hide them on her plate (after having heard about what they do to you to make you eat your veggies) underneath her chicken bones. So the waitress (sorry, our Aunt) took the plates away and all was well. Or so we thought! She came back with this special dessert just for my sis:
IMG_2844.jpg

What is that? It's her collared greens, with whipped cream, chocolate sauce, and sprinkles on top. No, she didn't actually eat it.

This was one of the specials at the Pepper Market food court at CSR: Meatloaf with mashed potatoes & green beans. Surprisingly everything was delicious.

Bacon Cheeseburger at Sci-Fi Dine-In. For anyone on the DP, you can order this at dinner even though it's only on the lunch menu.

50's Prime Time Cafe - everything was very tasty. My DH said the chocolate shake was "too chocolatey"...and that is coming from Mr. Chocolate himself. Yet, he had no problems finishing it....

The PB&J shake was shut-up, ridiculously good!

Not pictured was a PB&J shake with chocolate ice cream, FIL said it was great. Chicken Pot Pie, also highly reviewed. We had no problems getting our Clean Plate stickers. :thumbsup2

I had a lot of fun checking this thread while I was making my ADR decisions. As a thank you for all the help.. we made sure we took pictures of everything we ate in Disney!! We were on the DDP so we had a great time eating wayyy too much food. Enjoy!

Day 1

Lunch at Everything Pop!

We both had the Chicken Penne Alfredo - Chicken Penne Alfredo - $8.39.
This was delicious and I ate it two more times during our vacation. It was tons of food- a breaded chicken cutlet plus pasta with alfredo sauce.

DISNEY049.jpg

I had the carrot cake for dessert.. this was also awesome.

DISNEY051.jpg

Ben had the chocolate cake.. once again.. delicious!
Wouldn't want to eat EVERY meal here but it was super convenient and fast.

Dinner at Sci Fi Dine In
.. sorry these are blurry!

I had the The Reuben - Corned beef, sauerdraut, Swiss cheese, and 1000 Island dressing on marble rye bread, served with French fries and a pickle spear. - $11.99.
This was okay.. was a little dry and could have used more dressing.

DISNEY094.jpg

Ben had the Butcher Steak - Served with a red wine glaze, seasonal vegetables, and potato. - $22.99
He said this was okay as well.

DISNEY093.jpg

For dessert we both had a hot fudge sundae.. but forgot to take the picture! Overall, Sci Fi had a wonderful atmosphere but I don't think I'd go again unless it was only for dessert.

Day 2

Snack at Animal Kingdom.. this was okay. We also got hot chocolate because it was freezing!

DISNEY267.jpg

Late Lunch at San Angel Inn

Chips and Dip before the meal

DISNEY337.jpg

We both got the the Chicken Enchiladas which I couldn't find on the menu. This was awesome and came with really good black beans.

DISNEY339.jpg

For dessert I got vanilla ice cream with "Mexican milk caramel". This was good but tasted just like vanilla ice cream with caramel sauce that I could make at home.

DISNEY341.jpg

I was really jealous of what Ben got and wound up eating some of this too... It's the Flan de Vainilla: vanilla custard in syrup, topped with roasted almonds.

Would probably not go here again. Wonderful atmosphere.. but you could experience this by going on the boat ride or shopping inside.

DISNEY340.jpg

Dinner- we ate at Pop Century again and enjoyed eating it in our room. I got the Chicken Penne Alfredo again.. Ben got a Bacon cheeseburger.

DISNEY550.jpg

Day 3

Breakfast- 1900 Park Fare

This place was sooo good! One of our favorites... Great character interaction and great food. I would 100% come here again..

Here is Ben's first round.. Bacon, Eggs, Pancakes and Hash Browns

DISNEY586.jpg

and Mine.. Biscuit, Pecan Sticky Bun, Mickey Waffle, Ham, Hash Browns, Bacon and Strawberry Soup off to the side.

DISNEY587.jpg

and the Tea Selection!

DISNEY590.jpg

Ben's Second Round.. Fruit, Gummy Bears and a Mickey Waffle

DISNEY595.jpg

My Second Round.. More Strawberry Soup, Rice Krispy, Gummy Bears, and Pineapple

DISNEY596.jpg

Close up of Strawberry Soup

DISNEY598.jpg

Lunch at Cosmic Ray's

I got the BBQ Pork Sandwich - Served with your choice of potato chips or apple slices. - $8.69 with apple slices and carrot cake. Ben got a cheesesteak with potato chips and chocolate cake.

DISNEY683.jpg

Dinner- Rainforest Cafe

We did this out of pocket because they don't accept the DDP. Food was good.. would probably try T-Rex next time instead.

I got the Rainforest Pita Quesadillas - Grilled chicken, roasted peppers, caramelized onions and melted cheese on grilled pita bread. Served with fresh pico de gallo and sour cream. - $8.99. These were delicious.. I've been craving these since our last trip.

Ben got the Tuscan Chicken - Balsamic and tomato marinated chicken breast char-broiled and dressed with cucumbers, Kalamata olives, tomatoes and garnished with a honey dijon mustard sauce. - $17.99.

DISNEY738.jpg

Day 4

Lunch at Toy Story Pizza Planet

This was pretty good.. came with a lot of food. Pizza wasn't New York Pizza but it was good for what it was! I got the cheese pizza, Ben got pepperoni. They came with pretty big side salads.

DISNEY771.jpg

Dinner at Raglan Road

This was one of our favorites. The entertainment was wonderful.. we only wish that we had requested to be in the room with the band because we didn't get to see it!

We started with a Guinness and Celtic Martini :drinking1

DISNEY869.jpg

Before our meals we got delicious bread with a Guinness Reduction Dipping Sauce.. I'm sorry we don't have a picture..

For our entree we both got the Serious Sirloin Steak - 10oz sirloin topped with Irish whiskey glaze, and drizzled with fresh basil oil. Served with mashed potatoes and topped with crispy fried onion strings. - $23.95. This was wonderful! My steak was very rare so I didn't enjoy it as much as I would have...

DISNEY871.jpg

For dessert.. Ben got this chocolate monstrosity. He said it was delicious.
Dunbrody Kiss - Chef Dundon's gift to America. Chocolate, add chocolate, and then add some more. - $6.99

DISNEY874.jpg

I got the Bailey's Creme Brulee Tart - Creme brulee Irish style. - $6.99 .. Probably one of the best things I ate during the trip..

DISNEY873.jpg

Day 5

Lunch- Columbia Harbour House with the Keys to the Kingdom Tour.. no pictures unfortunately but we had chicken fingers and fries.. so they would have been pretty boring.

Snack- Aloha Isle

I ordered the wrong thing! I wanted a Dole Whip.. and I was thinking you could get vanilla ice cream in orange juice? Well this is what I got.. it was still good.. But not what I was expecting

DISNEY932.jpg

Dinner- Teppen Edo

This place was really fun and the food was really good too! I would definitely come here again.

We both got the Nihonbashi - Sirloin steak and chicken breast with seasonal vegetables, Udon noodles, and steamed rice. - $28.00

Dipping Sauce

DISNEY941.jpg

Chef Preparing the Meal

DISNEY942.jpg

Onion Volcano!

DISNEY943.jpg

Our Meal.. it was hard to get a complete picture because the Chef gave you different sections at a time. Everything was delicious.. especially the noodles.

DISNEY946.jpg

Our dessert.. Green Tea Pudding. This was good but the texture bothered me a little.
