How was the food at Yak & Yeti? It looks good!

We ate at Yak & Yeti for lunch on 5/21 and it was terrific. We were on the Deluxe Dining Plan, so we had appetizer, entree, and dessert. I had the seared ahi tuna as an appetizer, the shaoxing shrimp & steak for an entree, and the fried wontons for dessert. The appetizer was terrific and the dessert was one of my favorites for the entire trip. The entree was excellent as well, but perhaps not as spectacular as the appetizer and dessert. Overall, I would rate my experience at Y&Y a 9.5 out of 10. Our server was Megan, and she was very good. I would highly recommend this restaurant. When we make future trips to WDW, we will DEFINITELY make reservations at Yak & Yeti on our Animal Kingdom day.

Hi:wave2: I love your food photos and have a quick couple of questions, were there other childrens options and did they have an alternative choice of sides? The food looks wonderful but not sure yet if our DS will eat there.

Thanks for posting this and thanks to everyone who posted good reviews for LTT. I did have it booked but then cancelled because of all the bad reviews I kept reading but then after I saw this...I re-made the ADR yesterday for August! Even got the exact time and date I originally had! Must be a good sign! :thumbsup2

re: LTT

Totally agree with all of these...we returned three weeks ago after our 1st WDW vacation...8 nights with the DPP...
LTT was our absolute favourite TS of them all. In fact the LTT, the H-D-D Revue and Coral Reef are the only ones my kids want to return to when we go again... LTT was #1 with us.
Here are some more pictures

Thanks so much! DH is now super excited to try this place!

RE: Taking baggies to buffets.....

Is that even allowed? I thought all food had to stay at buffets? Is this even allowed in Disney?

"allowed" is an interesting term. I don't believe it is, but I am sure people have done it, even at Disney. Not too hard to fill up your plate with Mickey Waffles, then sit at your table and put them into a baggies in your purse. I remember my mother doing this when I was little at a seafood place! :rolleyes1

We went to Crystal Palace with DD when she was little and she freaked at the characters so bad, we had to leave and they gave us a togo box. So food can certainlly leave there.

I have always been wanting to try Yak and Yeti for my upcoming trip, but they have been countlessly rated "bad". When I saw those yummy food pics from Y & Y, I have to give it a try..

WOW, just finished food porn #1 and switched over to find this is over 100 pages long!! I'm going to have to really buckle down to get through this before we leave in 9 days!!

Thanks to everyone for your posts, I am LOVING them and have planned most of my ADR's on what I have seen posted here. Can't wait till I see them in person
:cool1: :cool1: :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Be careful... Bad things could happen if you ingest 100 pages of food porn in such a short time. :hyper: :bitelip:   :hyper: :scared1: :hyper:  :faint:

That is the best reason to go to Ohanas!!!! We love this stuff!!!!

This is our favorite too!! If you ask at Kona they'll bring it to you there too :thumbsup2

That spot will sell out fast. Better get to booking!:thumbsup2

Our ADR date is June 6th...it will be my first ADR (hopefully!)

I do have room for one more ressie- thinking of the Kona- but searching everyones delicious food pics to make my final decision.

I will be posting some Kona pics soon!

We ate at LTT for the MNSSHP in 10-06 and thought it was very good. There was plenty to eat and there were 9 of us. The character interaction was fantastic too.

Thanks for all the pics and reviews...crossing my fingers for an ADR for Dec 7th! You guys rock!

Here's the next round of food pics. We really enjoyed this buffet...the characters were fun too. Alice seemed to have missed us the first time around, but made sure to come back around to us. My DH had made us "Unhappy Birthday" buttons with the Tweedles on them and Alice and Hatter had a blast with them. Enjoy!

Since my signature is of food, I thought I'd ask here, if anyone else thought it looked bad. I like my signature, but someone else said this about it;
Just looking at this food makes me sick! I think it looks really gross to be honest!

It's your signature and you keep it if you want it, to each his own I say!
It certainly doesn't make me sick, I love to look at food LOL
I wouldn't care if someone told me looking at my siggy and the pic of myself and james blunt made them sick LOL I would say "don't look at it then!" ;)

Come to think of it, if anyone's signature did bother someone else that much, they could choose to not be able to see signatures.
