And I noticed when I did go back through the other thread many of the pics are now gone.

Oh, yes, that is a pet peeve... you go through the old stuff and they're just little red x's. SIGH.

1. We will fill up this thread quickly with old stuff...

3. Lots of old food you cannot get anymore and that makes me want to order it even more and I cannot so I get frustrated!

second point is excellent. I'm going through thinking "Oh, I'm going to order THAT and THAT..." and then I see it's not on the menu now. SIGH AGAIN

I don't mind that (mostly because the printing is really tiny and I'd have to strain myself to read those pesky numbers)

However, it seems so odd to me not to see the French translation of all wording on a product (everything sold in Canada must have English and French wording on it). Of course, it messed with my mind in France too when there was no English on the products

Please no flames but I was hoping that this new thread would be for new food pics...nothing that was already posted on the other food thread...

What would be nice to avoid duplicate pictures of the same thing over and over is to have an OP that had all the restaurants listed along with their menus and you could click on the food text to see the picture then people could fill in with their pictures of anything that is missing.

I don't know if that is doable or not however

oh no don't tell me they have taken my pie in the sky off the RR menu? Maybe they are using it as a fall/winter dish only??? Please let it be so. It is the only thing there (apart from the gers pudding of course) that I fell in love with.

Ooooh, I didn't realize it was called "Pie in the Sky". I wonder if it can come without mushrooms...hmmm....

Here are a couple from the GF tea. Please excuse my mom and I in the second picture- that is the only picture I have of the strawberries and cream (and you can barely see them )

We got 2 swan pastries because the waitress heard me say that we were going to split the pastries and the strawberries, to which she replied "You can't share a SWAN!" So, one free swan for us

This is technically doable but WOW what a lot of work! It would probably take an experienced web designer a few weeks just to put it together with the pictures from these threads...

The real daunting thing, however, would be the maintenance of keeping it up-to-date with new pictures and (worse) changing menus!

I am the one, like two years ago maybe, that made up the list of which pictures we had and which page they were on! That took me WEEKS to do just that. I can't imagine doing this, but what a great idea.
