Hi Disfriends!

I have an upcoming trip to WDW in November. I'm trying to plan my park days, and I just want to double check something. I know the thought process for the Halloween parties is to hit MK during the day on Halloween party days, because the crowds are lower on party days. I'm assuming that the same is true for the Christmas parties? We are not "party people" and are not planning to purchase tickets for the Christmas party. So, I should plan to go to MK ON Christmas party days during the day for a lower crowd experience?

TIA for any intel!

Yes, it’s the same for the Christmas party season. The crowds are cuckoo on non-party days because people want those extra park hours and ability to see night parades and fireworks.

Last year WDW gave out ‘free’ hoppers for people booking 4 day packages or longer. I thought that was a smart way for them to even out some of the attendance but they decided not to offer it this year?

Are the crowds still light during that 4:00-7:00 window when the party guests are let in?

I can only speak to the one halloween party day where I was a day guest, but it definitely started to get more crowded after 4. But we were done with everything we had wanted to do by 5ish, so we just left.

We might have finished earlier but SDMT was down during our original booking period so we had to wait for it to reopen.

Yes, lower crowds in the MK on party days. Crowds tend to start building around 2 PM but the amount you can get done until 2PM is so much!!

If you don’t mind missing the evening entertainment or, can hop over a non-party evening to enjoy it, I HIGHLY recommend d going to the MK on a party day - both MNSSHP and MVMCP.

As others have said, crowds start to build around 2 and are not light 4-7 pm. Barnstormer had a full queue with 40 min posted wait on a late August afternoon.
