Bahah! We were honest though! On the days that weren't his birthday we let the servers know that they don't have to do anything special, that he just wears it to get "Happy Birthday!"s from CMs. (Longggg story, last year when he wore the pin solely on his birthday, like TWO people wished him happy birthday). Some of the servers just go above and beyond! The one server at Mama Melrose even gave us the dessert for free! I left her an additional tip for what the dessert would of cost. I was speechless!

Tonga Toast looks AMAZING! I had something kind of similar at the Rainforest Cafe' however sadly I have developed a banana allergy and won't get to try Tonga Toast, I wonder if they can serve it with another type of fruit inside.

I wonder if peaches hould be subbed?

I found out by process of elimination. I use to be a vegan and ate 2 or more a day for months on end however when I ended that phase of my life I didn't really eat them anymore until about a month ago when I went on a very low fat diet. Each time I would have one my mouth would feel strange and within 5-10 minutes I was sick to my stomach, crampy, etc and it lots of pain. Each time I would eat one same thing...now it's so bad that if I have anything that has a trace amount I'm sick. I'm now sure what it's related to but I'm going to see a DR soon about it to make sure it's not anaphalicitc (sp).

Good luck with that! Make sure you also discuss the possibility of a latex allergy with your doctor then.

There's a local restaurant here that has a different version of "tonga toast" They have something similar to cherry pie filling (although it's not the pie filling itself but similar enough) and it's to die for! It's not as super sweet as it sounds but it's soooo good- could that be an option?

The French Toast usually comes with a meat, but I don't like meats for breakfast and said that I'd skip the meat side order. The server offered to substitute a fruit bowl (seen in the next photo) for the meat.

My dh's breakfast:

He said that everything was good.
