Disney Food Pictures...Part II

I had posted a lot of pictures on the original food porn thread. I deleted most of my original PhotoBucket account and created a new one. In doing so, most of the pictures I had in the original food porn thread are not showing up anymore. Would anyone mind if I posted them again here? I'm still uploading a lot into my new account, and wouldn't mind sharing them, but they have technically already been posted, and I don't want to annoy anybody.

"then asked their server if all Canadians say 'Ay'..,now not a big offense, but that's like asking me if all Jews eat bagels"

We get that alot. Btw it's actually "eh" ;)

Whoops! My bad...sorry I wasn't sure of the spelling,

You always get funny looks when you take pics. I've only had one group of people ask me about it. We were at Boma (it was 2 older couples, never been to a buffet before) and they asked why I was taking pics of the food (and I didn't use my flash either). I told them I was part of this massive subculture that is obsessed with food at WDW.

I hate it when people make nasty comments and I can be a defensive person. If some snotty person made a comment to me about taking pics, I don't care of what... I probably would have said something like "I smoke crack, freebase meth and shoot up heroin also..." Get even more dirty looks but they leave you alone after that!:rotfl: (I know I am strange in my own ways.)

I should have, it really didn't bother me, but it bothered my DBF. I love my food porn!

I think i may have had to taken a picture of them just to piss them off even more LOL

This looks soooooo good - did you get some kind of bread to put it on or did you just eat it was is?
\\
That's a good idea! At Le Cellier they serve breadsticks- multigrain (yum!), pretzel (yum!) and sourdough-blech

POST AWAY! Repeats don't bother me!

And since I can't stand posting without pics:

Please do!!!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :surfweb:

I have been taking pics of food for about 4 trips now and the only comments I ever heard about me was during our March/April trip. The first was at our second Boma breakfast, I was getting close ups of the buffet and this guy said what are you doing, is the food bad and I said no I am really into scrap booking and I asked if I could take his picture for my scrap book, I would title him " THE NOSY GUY AT THE BUFFET!" He loved the idea so I took a picture and then deleted it when I got back to the table. I really dont scrap book but not everyone understands the power of the DIS

THe other comment was dinner at Captains Grille, I took pictures of all the desserts on the dessert table....there was a couple sitting nearby and the husband said to the wife, look there is another person taking pictures of food, what is up with that? I just laughed!

DH is totally into me taking pictures of food, he lets me know when the buffets have cleared out or fresh food is being brought out so I can get a clear shot! Man do I have him trained or what?

Ugh I got a really nasty look and comments from when I took pics at Le Cellier. (and we know how close those tables are) They made snide remarks and really pissed off the bf, even though he got annoyed with me for doing it--his only requirement: We had more pics of us then of the food. ...
BTW Lurkyloo, your TR is so much fun to read, and now I want to get married in Morocco! (although DBF is hellbent on Japan or China)

Bless you for bearing the remarks of snide strangers to take those fabulous pictures! Also, I'm glad you've enjoyed the trippie - you guys can't go wrong with any of those locations. Japan is beautiful, and China would make for stunning pictures! :thumbsup2

If I would have been drinking my tea when I read this, the tea would have been streaming from my nose.........this is very funny and very creative!!! Thanks for the huge belly laugh!! :rotfl2:

Post away!!!;)

Great! I'll post my pics then. I just have to finish uploading them, then get them all into the right folders, and then I'll start posting. I probably won't get around to starting to post them all until tomorrow or Tuesday though, since I have big plans tonight, the season finale of Desperate Housewives is on, can't miss that. ;)

I do have a lot of pics though, from four different trips, and a total of 38 days of Disney dining. But with addicts, you can never have enough porn. :rotfl:

Sad but true. I wonder how offensive a "food pornographer" t-shirt would be in Disney? popcorn::

I'll be honest - when we took my ILs to WDW last year, ON the free dining for 8 nights, I ditched the food pictures. He already thinks I'm odd and I didn't need to add fuel to that fire...

I still mourn all those pics I lost out on taking :rotfl:

Every table gets it, but only at dinner. I don't know if it's the same as the bread at the Lula, since I've never gone to that, but it's awfully good.

not sure if it's the same as the luau. i heard that bread had some sort of pineapple in it. i may be wrong. if i'm right, then that's not the same bread.

every table gets bread at dinner at kona. the butter is TO DIE FOR!

You should try raising an Autistic child with Intermittent Anger and Rage Disorder.:thumbsup2 We won't go there.

On our last trip we were snapping pictures (I believe it was Coral Reef), and got some really weird looks. I made a loud comment about giving the place great reviews and the look went from one of "weird" to one of admiration. I guess they thought we were food critics.:confused3 The reviews were for the DIS board.:thumbsup2

It's amazing that some people judge so quickly, without knowing anything. I should use the review excuse too, since I do write reviews, just not the kind people would assume I was writing if I took photos.

I could eat a whole loaf of that bread myself. :goodvibes Probably not the best thing for my diet since I'll be eating there solo. :rolleyes1

My son is a big Mortal Kombat fan (although he's not allowed to play it) and when the plate with the big red mickey hit the table, he looked at the Mickey Waffle, and said "fatality". We laughed about it all week. I guess you gotta be familiar with the Mortal Kombat game to see the humor in that one. But after that everything covered in cherries became a "fatality".:lmao: :rotfl2:

I could not agree more.......the dish is very full of complexity: outstanding ingredients with solid individual flavors; the blended flavors of the combined ingredients; flavors that compliment each other. The catfish has a very good fresh flavor which is key to this dish. The smoked tomato compote in this dish brings subtle sweetness, acidity and an earthiness which allows the creamy grits, with their slight heat, to stand out. Top this dish with the balsamic reduction and you have something that is very well thought out and executed........this dish is one of my favorites in all of WDW and I go back for it as often as I can!!!

We have a plan to eat at every WDW restaurant (not that far away actually). We are already booked for the DDP in Sept. I had Coral Reef booked for lunch again (the only restaurant i wanted to hit a second time). We really wanted to try ALL the restaurants before we did a repeat. And we cancelled the Coral Reef to book Yak and Yeti, which is new. As I was cancelling the Coral Reef all I could think about was that catfish!!! :rotfl2: :lmao: . I almost hung up. I didn't even order it!!! It was my wife's meal. She would only share about 1/8th of it, but it was enough for me to know I had to get it if we go back. Its the ONE meal that really stood out on that trip as far as taste goes.
What i got was superb, but I can't tell you what it was. Hers was the best.
