Disney Fantasy vs Oasis of the Seas?

So glad I have came across this one. We are planning for vacation next year and thinking we want to cruise again. Our last cruise was on the Wonder 6 years ago before the bigger ships even came out. Even though our girls are a little older now (12 and 8) we are thinking Disney again based on our experiences with cruising two times with them. Of course when you see these big new ships with all the amenities the RCCL ships have it makes you want to try them out. We have friends who have sailed with both and they agree Disney cannot be beat.

Oasis has far more stuff to do than the fantasy. We also love pools and hot tubs and DCL's were people soup. We don't drink soda but If I had older kids I would not want them to have access to free soda all week.

Thanks for the responses everyone! Right now I'm on the fence. The itinerary for both sounds good, but Castaway Cay has me really interested. Soda and alcohol and all that stuff isn't a factor for me, but I do like the sound of Disney's free food offerings a little better. Unless I've overlooked something, they sound like they have the better food options. (?)

No question though, the ship Oasis (or Allure) seem more interesting than Disney's. But Disney sounds like as far as what they do, they do it better than anyone. So that's appealing too.

Also, Disney has the better itinerary...no Naussau.

Lol, I've never been to Nassau but always wanted to stay at Atlantis. Is Nassau really that bad?

Food is extremely subjective, unfortunately. I'd say that there are a few specific menus where I prefer Disney. Royal has the edge overall to me. Celebrity (an RCI company) is head and shoulders above both.

RCI vs Disney is still generally banquet food in the Main Dining Rooms. I find people that prefer Disney's dining are pickier eaters that prefer more plain food. I"m not one of those people.

Definitely not my favorite port. Atlantis is very expensive (not worth it IMO) and I'd prefer to say on the ship and enjoy everyone else being off the ship.

We have cruised on Oasis and really like it. My preference would be Disney because of the service and you get a personal feeling from the people working onboard.
