Disney Fantasy - June 17, 2017 - 11 night Southern Caribbean

:sunny:Man, it has turned so darn hot and humid down here in South Florida lately! It is a reminder to me how hot it is going to be in the Caribbean in June. I've sailed in the Caribbean during the summer many times. But somehow, I always forget how hot it will be! I've decided to pack an extra t-shirt or 2. As soon as you put on a fresh shirt, you're gonna sweat right thru it! We're going to WDW this weekend and that will also be a hot one!

P.S. I've asked on a couple of threads, but have never really gotten an answer. If we buy a refillable popcorn bucket this weekend at WDW, will it be the same design as the one on the ship? And, can we get it refilled on the ship? Anyone ever do that?
Still a little cool up here in Iowa. We had mid 50s as a high temp Sunday.

Don't take this as your definitive answer but I really doubt they will honor that popcorn deal on the ship. WDW and DCL remain remarkably separate in their marketing programs. I've yet to see anything that goes past the "Land/Sea" itineraries or simple transportation from resort to port and back.

Oh - enjoy those cool temps! That is winter for us - if it even gets that low!

That is what I thought about the popcorn, but I had read on a thread that some people who had come directly from WDW to DCL were able to use a park bucket. Definitely not worth lugging, but thought I would ask.

:) I was gonna tell you to enjoy the warm weather... LOL.

Please don't take my thoughts on the popcorn as the definitive word. I'm not sure either way on that.

Returned yesterday from 4 nights at WDW. It was really crowded and hot, of course. Traffic and construction on property is totally unbelievable. But, we had a great time. Didn't bother with the popcorn bucket in the parks, but probably will get one on the cruise. The popcorn on the ship always smells so good and 11-nights is a long time, so I think we will try it out.

Now I can concentrate on packing for the cruise!

We're cruising this month, people! :sunny:
Yay!! A little over two weeks away!!

I'm not sure how often I will be able to get back to this site before the trip (crazy couple of weeks at work) so I'm re-posting the invite for the "meet & greet." I will find a spot in O' Gills ahead of time.

Invitation to all who are interested in getting together.

We have a couple of sea days right out of port on this itinerary. How about Day 1 (6/18) 2pm in O' Gills?

Sounds good to me.

I will be there.

Does anyone know which (if any) ports we have to tender into? I thought I saw this info somewhere, but I can't seem to find it. Thanks!

What is everyone doing the day before? We are driving up from South Florida and spending the day in Cocoa Beach as tourists.

We will be docked at each port. The DCL website says nothing for any of the ports and they usually designate on their website itinerary which are tendered if they are. However, things can always change without notice.

I will be at WDW starting the 14th, and we will be leaving from WDW the day of the cruise via DCL transportation.

We're flying in direct (red eye from LA). So we'll be at the airport early, early. Close to first in line for the DCL transfer.

WooHoo! We are getting close to cruising time!

We live less than 2 hrs from the port so we will be driving over the day of. The day before I'm sure I will still be packing and cleaning. DH and DS will be at work so no help there. LOL

DH is working in Destin the week prior to the cruise (we are joining him there). Then we will drive down on Thursday, visit Kennedy Space Center on Friday and cruise on Saturday!

Thanks! That is good. :sunny:

Well, got an email from DCL saying our cruise documents were incomplete. What actually happened was that DCL has apparently changed some of the particulars in the cruise contract that we agreed to, and we had to agree again to the new contract.

While on the site, I checked for parasailing at Castaway Cay (been stalking for a couple of weeks) - whoopee! It was available and I got it.

We didn't receive an email. Hopefully that's a good thing.

I've been trying to change my excursion in Martinique...again lol. The excursion we are trying to change to shows a time for availability, but we go to change it and it won't book for two people. There must only be one spot available. I will keep eyeing it or we will try and change it on the ship. I'm going to try and get an early Palo time on Pirate Night as well.

Yeah, I kept getting two available times, the couple of times that parasailing showed up and I tried to book it. But it kept coming up "not available". For either time. But, today, success.
