And... I'm... pregnant!



Can't believe it finally happened after 2+ years! We are super excited. I am about 4 weeks along and due around 4/1/13. Yes, I've done the math... baby will be about 8-9 months old by the time of this cruise. I think it's doable... hopefully DH agrees! That will be a decision we'll need to make later. I'm a little more concerned about my family's Alaska cruise next June. The baby will be too young to go on Carnival, so either we stay home or baby stays home (with grandma). Not sure how I feel about that yet. Unfortunately, that's not a cruise we can just pick up and move, as there's a lot of people involved and some deposits have already been made. And I will get to experience Disneyland at about 6 months pregnant for our family trip in January. Considering my dad (who can't walk/stand for long periods of time and doesn't like most rides anyway) and my niece (who will be about 14 months) will be with us, I think I'll be in good company.

Anyway, just wanted to update you! We've only told our families so far, and will be updating the rest of the world in about a month, so you guys have exclusive access to my big news that I can hardly contain.

Thanks everyone! Just had the vacation discussion with Ben (he brought it up, I didn't!) and basically I told him our plans aren't changing. Not sure how he felt about that, as he changed the subject! Though if we have twins (like I hope and have been having strong feelings about lately) even I might have to rethink vacation plans.

Food aversions... yes! Oh my gosh, I didn't think I could get more classic symptoms so soon, but I've been nauseous off and on for a week and a half (it's the worst in the evening), my nose has been picking up the craziest smells (mostly bad!), and there are certain kinds of meats that I can't stand the smell, thought, or taste of right now. I think it's mostly plain cooked meats that don't have any real sauce or flavor, like steak, chicken breast, sausage, hamburger, etc. And I can't stand the smell of beef jerky, which is Ben's favorite snack. No cravings as of yet.

Just wanted to say hi! Our family will be cruising with you all in Dec 2013. This is becoming a great tradition for us. We had the Dream last Dec, will have the Dream this Dec, and our first Fantasy cruise Dec 2013. It will be cruise #4 for us and I love it! I love booking new cruises before I leave the ship!

We definitely want to do the FE with you all too!
