Disney Fantasy Cruise November 8th - 15th 2014 ... here we come!

Is anyone thinking of booking a class? Mixology or Champagne tasting etc....
These are my favorite two :rotfl2:

DH and I have done the mixology one before and both found it fun! Wish we could know in advance when and time to book.

Let me know if anyone is going to book and want to meet up!::yes::

WE are thinking about it.....Champagne tasting is fun. It depends when they are offered as we have such a lot to do onboard. :thumbsup2

I am sorry to hear about your circumstances. I have a quick question if it is okay. We are traveling on our first cruise this December and are wanting to join a group. What is the best way to do this (Facebook, etc)?

DLC website is stating November 15th is the start of merrytime cruises, not happy about this if indeed the dates have changed, some will be but others wont and Im in the NOT! Make your mind up Disney and stick to it!:confused3

Gee, here we go again. Sorry you are upset. I hope that we will not have too many disappointed cruisers. Personally, I thought Nov. 8 was a wee bit too soon to start with the Christmas decorations but then we have been fortunate to have cruised many times with the ships decked out and it is a sight to see. And I sure bet some folks were already planning Christmas cards.....

Let's wait and see what happens.....

I would recommend looking in the cruise meet sections for your specific cruise ship and date then joining that thread. Hopefully there is a lot of activity for your particular cruise. There you should be able to see if there is a facebook group as well.

well almost finished paying off stepsons cruise., next week will be paying off the remaining balance, boy will I be happy then! Have to start thinking about booking time for the nursery for them as grandson is only 2 at time of cruise, does anyone have any info on this Ive never had to book this kind of thing as we have only had older grandkids on past cruises with us. Not even sure if we book as soon as pif or does it have to be done onboard, is it a specific time I book. They have never cruised before and leaving EVERYTHING up to me! where do I start any ideas from past cruisers using the nursery would be much welcomed, and if you think a certain time would be of best benefit.I would like them to have some free time each day without having to depend on us to much lol!Its Nanas vaction too!:scared1:

Yes there is ;). I just need to know the names of those in your party, your room number, and ages of any children (for age appropriate gifts) if you wish to provide it

This is a birthday cruise for my husband, my daughter and myself! party: My husband and I are turning the big 4-0 just days before the cruise. We thought why not cruise Disney for our birthday. Even my three year old is super excited and counting down the days!!

Just wanted to add to the FE list that TangledMario-group3 is celebrating their 45th wedding anniversary on the cruise.

Also...has anyone has been to Dunn's River Falls in Jamaica. We were thinking of taking the kids but it looks like DCL excursion is for kids 6 and up (mine are 4 and 7). I'm wondering if this is not a good trip for the 4 year old or if we should just try to find a private company to take us. Any advice is appreciated!

boundfordisney, where are you seeing this? I am seeing it on the Disney Cruise site that the Fantasy starts with the 11/8 cruise. It's under the Very Merry Christmas Cruise page.

I'm not sure if I am allowed to include the link, or I would.

Hi everyone! I'm new to DIS and am interested in joining the FE group on the 11/08 cruise. Is there still room? I have always wondered what all the decor was hanging from the fish hooks and now I know! How will I know information about the other families stateroom numbers and kids ages etc prior to cruising? We will be sailing for my daughters 3rd birthday. I honestly didn't know there was going to be Christmas decorations up. According to their website it still says Fantasy 11/08... Also while I'm posting, has anyone booked a cabana before? My window opens up in a few days. I'm told I need to stay up and most likely it would already be sold out. Has anyone experienced this or have any tips?

I climbed Dunns River Falls about 16 years ago with a small private group from a resort.

At the time, it was required to hire a Falls guide to climb the falls. Back then, the guides did not have a set rate.

Many of the rocks you climb over are large, and at times very slippery. A few of the people in my group had difficulty. I noticed other groups taking different paths so perhaps there is an "easy route".

When you get to the top of the climb, there is a vendor area. Some of the
vendors were pushy with the slower-moving tourists. None of the vendors bothered me, but then again, I walked through too fast for them to catch me :)

I don't think it would be a good idea to take a 4 year old on the falls climb.

I believe nowadays there is a viewing deck and a seperate walkng path which leads to the top of the falls. It would be possible for the 7 year old to take an
easy falls route while the 4 year old took the walking path with a parent.

Hope this info aides you in the decision process.
