bought a new lug bag will use as a carryon got a good deal ,if you bought one get another half price so since it was my sisters birthday bought her one and got mine at 50%. On rollers and lots of pockets, cant wait to be able to use it! checked out the fe lists today wow good thing its been split into groups otherwise we wouldnt have been able to manage that amount of gifts, lots more sighned up since the last time I looked.Camping next week for us then stepsons wedding the following week so next 2 weeks are gonna be busy, just wish it was like the middle of October right now, not quite time for the cruise but soooo much closer !Waiting for the night when I can post on here see you all tomorrow!

Yes of course you can. It will be like a drop in thing. Nothing extravagant lol - no snacks and will probably be just for an hour or so. There is a cost for DCL to cater, and considering Cabanas will be open - no need to pay for food, drinks, etc.

It will give everyone a chance to meet, grab a list if they need or forgot theirs. And maybe give the kids a opportunity to make new friends. Scheduling it for before the mandatory safety drill

Bumping this up to a current page for this who are joining us.....Safety drill is normally at 4:00 so the DISMEET will be around 3:00......

We have our youngest celebrating his 13th birthday while on the cruise. Does anyone know what all options are on board for making his day even more special?

Does anyone know if the Cayman Island port has shops and restaurants within safe walking distance?

if you look online there is a form to order a birthday cake to be delivered and they have the prices listed. Round (Regular type) or Mickey Head cakes are available. Or you can order the birthday banner package for the room. Otherwise they give out the birthday pin and a choc dessert and sing to you at dinner

Grand Cayman has a lot of stores in walking distance to the port and restaurants. Margaritaville is close too! We felt safe walking around the area with 2 children 9 & 5.

DH and I have done the mixology one before and both found it fun! Wish we could know in advance when and time to book.

Is anyone thinking of booking a class? Mixology or Champagne tasting etc.... These are my favorite two DH and I have done the mixology one before and both found it fun! Wish we could know in advance when and time to book. Let me know if anyone is going to book and want to meet up!

We are definitely going to book the Mixology tasting - if our schedules permit, we would definitely like to meet up!

We liked the mixology class and it's cheap and fun!
One time we did a private mix class for like 26 of us and I didn't love it as no one made the drinks, they were premade and waiting for us. I like how we can get up and make some.
I'll be looking to see some of you there!!

welcome aboard ! 4theloveofdisney is looking after the fe and Im sure he will add your family to a group theres always room for more! Lots of great info here on the disboards so you are in the right place especially being your 1st cruise.We also have a facebook group if you are interested and have some events created on there for once on the ship. Looking forward to chatting until we board which is getting closer and closer now but not soon enough! lol

DLC website is stating November 15th is the start of merrytime cruises, not happy about this if indeed the dates have changed, some will be but others wont and Im in the NOT! Make your mind up Disney and stick to it!

Seriously? Even though I'm one who prefers celebrating only in the month of the holiday, I agree that when they made the decision they should have stuck with it. This is getting ridiculous! Guests need to know what to expect. If they have indeed moved it again (Never can tell since their website is known for much erroneous info) it is sure to upset many. I'd really like to know who is responsible for such decision making . . . and changing!

We are. Not sure which yet though, I want to do the champagne one and the martini one as we haven't done those yet. I'd also like to do the whiskey one as only Eoghan did that on our first cruise.
So, we'll do two I'd say, depending on when they're offered etc.

The tequila one was FUN! We liked the mixology one too, but I had problems with the drinks and my blood sugar etc. so, I couldn't even make more than two and had to sit out cause they said if I couldn't drink them, I couldn't make them...which was kind of irritating.

Tastings & Mixology: As fun as they can be, it gives an idea of how little alcohol I drink to say that my last alcohol was when cruising in January this year.

On the ship I tend to have one cocktail or margarita per evening if I spend any time in the clubs, then look for non-alcohol versions. On my last cruise I had two on one of the nights I was out late. I have not done a tasting since my hubby sailed with me last year, when I took a tiny sip of each of mine and he finished them along with his. So unfortunately, I won't be doing any tastings or mixology this cruise.

So true!! I don't know why/who keeps changing this. Pick one way and let's go with it! I was fine with Xmas decorations up....I know some were not....

My wife and I have done martini and beer tasting and will do another one this cruise. Most likely tequila or champagne.
