Disney Fantasy Cruise November 8th - 15th 2014 ... here we come!

Why not just have all the folks enter their own information so there is no issue with the correct information. And if everyone is silver, then why not set a day and time for everyone to sign up for - that way there is no issue with any "dummy" information which might create issues. We did this with friends and then once on board we had one member of each stateroom go and adjust the times so we could sit together. We had 8:00, 8:15 and 8:30 for example.

Just a thought.....
I think that is WISE advice for WIFamily! :thumbsup2

:sad1::sad1::sad1:

Maybe we will just :wave2::wave2::wave2:
Are you in our FB group? I get lost trying to match Dis names with FB people. :scratchin

Edited to add: If not, that's okay. Just hoping to put a face to a Dis name so I'll know who to wave at. :wave2:

Let me try this a different way.

Does any know if you must have the "Online Check In" sections filled out prior to being able to reserve PAT or brunches and dinners, or onboard activities or excursions?

Thanks in advance. :cool1:

Doing some searching, I found this on a DIS post back in 2012.

You will need passport numbers, flight info, emergency contact info, credit card you want assign to account, etc....you can partially fill out the check in and save it but until you are completely done with it, you can't get to the port arrival time page.

I think I found my answer.

I think I found my answer.

And some deeper searching leads me to this understanding. PAT is tied to the Online Check-In section, and that must be completed prior to being to select PAT.

Reservations for Palo and Remi, onboard activities, and excursions are separate from the Online Check-In section.

That is correct about the PAT. It is still true that you can not be assigned a PAT until you have COMPLETED online check-in. But it would not seem advisable to do so with deliberately (due to you maybe not knowing the info) providing erroneous info, and especially passport numbers. That's why chip&dale&fun's suggestion seems like a great way to avoid that potential problem. ;)

And yes, those online ressies are entirely separate and online check-in is not required prior to making them. You only need to be PIF, but DCL must already have the correct names and CC status/number of those you you want to book. With 4 staterooms and if there are 4 separate res numbers, linked or not, was just thinking it would be more efficient for each lead to log on and do their separate reservations at the same time. But if you've got it figured out and want to do it differently, that might work. What prompted the response was the "dummy info," especially passports.

No problem. I was a long-time holdout. I am very techie, but I hated to see so many of the meets threads turn into a "grab and go" place to recruit members for FB groups. Although I like FB for some things, I miss the days when there was a lot of activity (and not just from a few) on the Dis meets threads. :sad1:

I understand. I have met life long friends on the DIS. But if we don't met up on day one I will still wave on CC.

Thanks. I remember a Pat. We showed up. Got pat of 22. There was no one in the terminal and the guard said go ahead.

Reading all the comments about all the luckies getting to book everything. And now I'm curious and nervous. First time cruiser here, so we have to wait until the end of August, I believe before we can start booking. But my question is in order to book port excursions and brunch, etc. Do we need passport info? I have to renew mine and get passports for the kids and am worried we won't have the numbers in time for the day we can start booking. :/

Most likely both. Not sure yet. We are scuba duvets but DH is not sure we want to haul gear.
Cool. My hubby is not sailing with me, but when he did (Fantasy last year) he brought his own wetsuit, regulator, snorkel, etc., and did the advanced dives 3 days in a row - Costa Maya, Grand Cayman and Cozumel. Hated Costa Maya but loved the other two. The downside was that he was too exhausted each evening to hit the clubs aboard AT ALL with me. I may as well have been solo, as I am this time. Oh, well. So much for my escort! :lmao:

I will be at Serenity probably hiding out in my cabana. :beach:

If there is a meet the first day that is NOT just for FE participants (which I am not), then I would attend. If not, I'll probably be easy to spot at the Castaway Club reception on Sunday! :sail:

If your cruise is paid in full then when your time comes (as a first timer) you should be able to log in to the DCL site, view your reservation and do your port adventure and dining bookings. It is only that until you complete your online check-in info you will not be assigned a port arrival time.
