Disney Fantasy Cruise November 8th - 15th 2014 ... here we come!

The original poster has not responded to any PMs from myself and at least one other disboards member over a month or two ago. And we are not sure if they are on the cruise anymore - we've been trying to get ahold of them. (They are still on the FE list for they time being until I have to finalize it - I don't want to remove them prematurely) - that is why I tried contacting the moderator

I am not on the first page either, but if there is someone who is on the first page who wants to edit their post to include the FE link and other pertinent info, please do so.

;)
I am not on the first page either. The only one I know of there who is absolutely still with us is Lori (Lorelei528), and she's way down the page at the 13th post so editing that one might not help much if people skim the thread. I'm not sure about "noahsketomom." :confused3

At this stage I don't think it would be premature at all to remove the OP, sparklechicks, from the FE. She did post THIS, organizing activities for the March 15th 2014 Spring Break Fantasy cruise she appeared to have switched to without telling us. That is the only cruise this year in her signature. Her last post on OUR cruise thread was March of LAST YEAR (2013). As far as I can tell, she never joined the FB group either and since she has not answered any of our attempts to contact her, I wouldn't think she'd object to being removed. When someone starts a cruise thread and hasn't posted on it for over 14 months, I can only surmise they are no longer with us - lol. Just my opinion. ;)

When and where is that first day meet?

And yes - I absolutely understand the total concentration on the diving. My hubby's biggest problem was he was fighting off a cold that was trying to get him down, and the dives were three days in a row so he had no in-between recovery time, but he had no problem diving in spite of not feeling well (I would not have gone in that condition). It just kicked in each evening. We were Cat. T and fortunately for him, Kemisha of the Concierge team prepared a special hot tea concoction each morning and night to make him feel better. My hubby pretty much spent all his time in the Concierge area except for dinner and his diving, and didn't spend much time at our CC cabana except for an occasional cold beer and to use the shower - lol. But at least I succeeded in finally getting him on a Disney cruise. :)

So going solo (5A this time) is fine. The only thing that may bother me is that I tend to have breakfast and lunch at Royal Court most days, and I KNOW I will continue to be asked, "Is your husband joining you?" It gets old. Maybe I should remove my wedding ring . . or switch it to the other hand? :rotfl2: It probably wouldn't help.

We planned on diving when we cruised to Hawaii. HAHAH. I got my once a year cold and the flight to San Diego about did in my ears. I even went to the ENT before the flight and he thought I would be fine. HAHA. I ended up on deck one visiting the pediatrician. (I guess they do double duty on the ship and ear infections are kid prone). No diving and lots of down time on the cruise. Not fun so I am glad that DH had a chance to dive.

We have not been on the fantasy so we have not dined or is it lunched at the Royal Court.....We tend to grab a bite at Cabanas, assuming we hit the gym first thing in the morning.

Did you book thru a TA? Ours is super about locating guests with similar interests.....Just a thought. Maybe there is another lady cruising solo. We had a nice tablemate last cruise....she was solo.

If this is your very first Disney cruise, then if you have paid in full by 75 days before the cruise, you will be able to log in at Midnight EST (on that 75th day prior), and do Palo ressies, excursions etc. I have found that the only thing tied to the Online Check-In which is where you do your Passport info, is the PAT (Port Arrival Time) which gives you a time when you can show up at the Port. Generally, the earlier your PAT, the lower your boarding group number, and the earlier you can get on the ship. I thought that I heard that they don't really care about PAT after around Noon, because they have already started boarding the ship by then, and you can nearly just show up at port and walk aboard after registering.

For Silver's it's 90 days out, so on Midnight August 10th EST, I'll be able to get on and do my things. Which actually translates to 11 PM on Aug 9th for me in Wisconsin. I have a second countdown timer set to that online window.

I'd push back the "don't care" to a bit later than noon. It depends on the flow of folks arriving at the terminal and when they actually start boarding the ship. Disney is super about trying to board early, but there is no guarantee......so my suggestion to any folks who have not checked in is to do so NOW, Today, ASAP as in stop reading this post. Even if you plan to get at the port early and do not have a PAT, you will get a later time if the early ones are all gone.

Good Luck to the first time cruisers. You will have a BLAST!

Lol I was away this weekend ( like I mentioned on Friday ) so while I could respond to messages etc on my phone, I didn't have my computer in front of me to update the FE list.

I try to update it every couple of days - but like everyone else sometimes life gets in the way lol ;)

The most recent additions have been updated on the list

THANK YOU...You are doing such a nice job with the FE lists. And color coded to boot. It is a very difficult task to keep up with all the various details and cruisers coming and going. So a Big Thanks from everyone.....

I have been invited to join others at their table (for MDR dinners) and happily accepted. If for any reason they change their mind, yes, DCL would attempt to seat me with solo adults if there are others. Breakfast and lunch are an individual choice, and most choose Cabanas. I enjoy the sit-down service at Royal Court (one of the MDRs). I don't mind DINING alone for breakfast and lunch as much as I mind the CMs at the entrance always inquiring "Will your husband be joining you?" and "Are you alone?" It can be awkward sometimes. :lmao:

I NEVER use a TA. I was an independent TA and trained CDK Disney Specialist in the past (got hooked on DCL on a "Disney Cruise College" agent education cruise) and I can't stand not having total control of my own reservations - lol.

San Diego: Born & raised there! While studying marine mammal behavior at Scripps Institution of Oceanography, I also studied aquatic medicine at UCSD School of Medicine. My hubby says it was a waste since I don't dive. He's probably right, but I've always dabbled in/studied everything that interests me.

Is there a place to view the FE list? I have such a difficult time navigating these boards. (still Learning)

You can sit with us for dinner....but since we tend to try to snag Palos, our seats may be empty.....:goodvibes REminds me of a story before the tip money was automatically added to our bills. We did a shirt cruise, Palo, Remy, Palo. And yes, we did show up in the morning of debarkation with the tip envelopes. All the staff were so thankful. It made us smile......:)

DH and I are both east coast Florida born and bred. Even if you don't dive, do you snorkel?

What shore excursions have you planned.

I am not seeking tablemates. As I said, I have already been invited to sit with others here for MDR dinners and am looking forward to it. I will be doing Palo and Remy on two of those nights though.

And no - I don't snorkel. I'll be staying out of the water. And no shore excursions (only the cabana on CC). I have other plans. ;)

Perhaps somebody can clear my confusion. I am assigned to the Daisy group. I noticed that some of the entries in my group are duplicated in other groups.
Specifically, DVCRejonis Groups 1 -4 are in the Daisy, Pluto, and Donald groups and
4 the Love of Disney is in the Mickey, Donald, and Pluto groups. Is this a mistake, or do they intend to be in multiple groups. Please don't interpret this as a complaint, I'm just trying to keep track of who is in my group. I sincerely appreciate the time spent in organizing the groups. Thank you for your help.

Perfectly fine....
