Disney Fantasy, August 18, 2012 - Western Caribbean

Hi Everyone

This is our second Disney cruise but I forgot all about the FE's. We have two girls 10 and 11 that would love to join in. It sounds like there hasn't been much interest in a second list.

It took me a while but I read through all of your posts and picked up some great pointers.

Thanks and I hope to see you all soon!

Karen

Another Wisconsinite. Welcome to the cruise and the DIS.

Welcome are you trying to join the FE?

Welcome aboard to all the new ones. Looking forward to cruising with all of you. It won't be long now. I can't wait.

WELCOME !!! to all the new cruisers!!:cool1::cool1:

Just a little idea my dd came up with,- a few cruises ago on the intial cruise meet up a little boy gave out plastic bracelets to all the young children that were there. It turned out to be a great icebreaker for the children and when they would see each other round the ship.

Now Im really short on luggage space (coming for 17 nights from the UK) BUT my dd Georgia wants to give out those flowery necklace things to the little girls, at the meet before the sailaway party.

Would it be ok just to do the little girls (under 10 say) as Im sure the older ones will be too cool to wear them anyway.

Any objections/ better ideas?

Bren:yay:

Love it. Becca is almost 6yrs old. However a few of us talked about meeting around the pool.

QUESTION... What time and where is the meet and greet?

Also there was a few of us with girls that wanted to meet around the Mickey pool.:grouphug:

Let me know if your still interested in girls meeting around the pool. And I love the idea of giving something out to them. I could bring maybe some Disney tattoo to do. Thinking around 2 pm. Any better ideas on time.:flower3:

Hi Karen,

Just wanted to welcome you and your family to the cruise thread. On the first day, the group is having a Meet/Greet at 2:45pm in the Vista Cafe (deck 4, midship). Great way to meet some fellow cruisers and for your daughters to connect with some of the other kids!

(I am traveling with my DH and son, who turning 11 a few days after the cruise ends.)

Hi Bren,

Hope you don't mind.... going to borrow your daughter's great idea.... I'm bringing special pirate bracelets (the silicon w/ sayings kind) for all the kids. My son will hand them out at the meet/greet. It was a lot of work to come up with something that my son gave his "cool" stamp of approval to!

(We're driving and don't have the limited space for packing that you do.) :drive:

So are the pool people not coming to the meet in the bar/cafe?? If not we will find you at the mickey(?) pool

I will have to get a bit more organised or I will be going round with handfuls of garlands looking like a irish ohana lady...:rotfl:
