Reading through the comments it does look like there will be one company that will be allowed to drop strollers at bell Services.
There is, Scooterbug. The stroller options are IMO terrible.

That is not what I said at all. I was trying to find a solution for these companies, that have to now meet with their customers, have a more efficient and faster way to get their ECVs to the customer. By having a space in a part of the parking lot, they can drop off more then 1 person's ECV at at time so that the customer does not have to wait around. With having to have the box trucks pull up to the drive, it can cause a back up when you get more then a couple coming in at the same time. And I am the one that is all for having a representative at the resorts to help expedite the process. I did not say for the guests to go out to the end of the parking lot to get the ECV, but to have them there and ready so when you show up, they can have it close in hand. These would all be helpful to you. I don't know why your would think otherwise.

I have read on multiple sites that Scooterbug is the current supplier and handler of the Disney strollers and ECV's now. That would certainly have given them an inside advantage.f it was handled properly there should have been a bidding process for the outside companies to provide this service. Within that there should have been minimum requirements that the company will provide. There might be a change in the offering from this company. I know if I were a vendor and had opportunity for this "in" I would adjust my inventory. Having this means this company doesn't necessarily need to do multiple drops but perhaps keep a basic inventory at resorts and drop once a day to replenish based on reservations. It might also mean getting a rental on property would be a possibility. I look at this as Disney has their own restaurants they want you eat at, but they are also providing you third party restaurants at Epcot and Disney Springs. Either way Disney is making money.

If Disney’s true objective in changing this policy was to reduce the number of rental strollers and ECVs going through bell services, it makes sense that choosing the least popular stoller/ECV company as their official vendor is most likely to accomplish it.
It is NOT misinformation. They may disassemble for transport, but as I said a heavy duty typically will not fit in a car, only those marketed as portable. They fit in some full sized suvs with the seats up, and some midsize with seats down but NOT in car. Many do not disassemble for transport, or it is not recommended that consumers disassemble them.Just to clear up this bit of misinformation, multiple rental places offer high quality heavy-duty ECVs that disassemble for transport and have for years. Most are rated for up to 400-450 lbs.
Exactly, that’s the absolute limit, recommended weight by most companies that rent them is 250
These don’ t fit in a car trunk. I asked.https://walkermobility.com/rentals/scooters/

I just didn’t want that previously quoted post to leave the wrong impression for someone who may not realize the options available. Finding the right ECV and being able to transport it was a serious concern for our family during an offsite stay.

Yes. You should inform DME ahead of time, to avoid having to wait longer while they reroute or dispatch an accessible bus.Are there HA DME busses?
Really? Just a facepalm? No snarky eyeroll?

Randy's specifically states it easily disassembles. Why would that matter if not for transport? It is NOT misinformation. They may disassemble for transport, but as I said a heavy duty typically will not fit in a car, only those marketed as portable.
Car trunk sizes vary. These don’ t fit in a car trunk. I asked.
Everyone I called told me they do NOT fit in a car trunk, only in an SUV, or that they did not recommend disassembly for transport, and I called every company I could find to contact. I would love to know exactly where you got one that will fit completely into the trunk of a sedan. My experience obviously differs from yours. Over the past several years we have never rented an SUV while at Disney but have many, many times disassembled heavy-duty EVCs to put into the truck of our rental car. Yes, multiple rental companies absolutely DO recommend their customers do this and often have videos showing how. Not that this really matters in regards to the subject of this thread.
Yes, Randy’s says easily disassembles, but doesn’t say it will fit in a car trunk, when I called they said that they don’t, and we would need an suv to transport it.Yes. You should inform DME ahead of time, to avoid having to wait longer while they reroute or dispatch an accessible bus.
