I made Prue’s maple-pecan-brown butter madeleines… it was a technical challenge on the Great British Baking Show. They’re pretty good!

Tomorrow at work we are having a decorate your office contest. The staff will go trick or treating to see the decorated offices and vote for their favorite.

My team is doing a comfy fall scene. We decided to make cookies instead of giving away candy.

Banana bread. Added dried cranberries (macerated in Bourbon) and chopped dark chocolate. Used Muscovado sugar. Yum!

I started my holiday prep! I went to Costco yesterday and the fresh cranberries looked fantastic so I made and canned 9 jars of orange cranberry sauce.

Baked 2 loaves of Cranberry Pecan Bread. Added chopped dark chocolate and sprinkled cardamom sugar on top. So yummy! Gave one loaf as a gift to a very happy recipient. Not giving away the other one -- it's calling my name!

Small batch of chocolate chip cookies (3 just the dough, no chips for me, 6 regular to share with DH, and 3 with choc chips and pecans for DH). Recipe makes 12 small to med size cookies.

Small batch of peanut butter cookies and same peanut butter cookies with nutella in the middle are on tap for tomorrow. Should make six medium size cookies. Hopefully the recipe goes well and DH likes at least one of the variations.

Decided to blend the above Cranberry Pecan Bread recipe with my favorite Pumpkin Bread recipe. Made the Pumpkin Bread, added pecans, 1 bag of fresh cranberries, and chopped dark chocolate. DH licked the bowl clean, so that's a good sign! The house smells great and I can't wait to taste the final results.

my baby chickens are laying... goobers came of laying age at the end of fall, we shall see if they figure out the light cycles and slow down at all, but for now I am collecting 6-8 eggs a day. So time to bake.

it was ok, my husband ate it so there is a positive. It was thinner and denser than I would have liked, not sure if that was from cooking too long or from a too large pan, but the caramel came out nice. So will try it again.

need to make a cake for my husband's birthday on Monday, have not decided on flavor yet.... got a couple of boxes of spice cakes in the cupboard I should use up and he is not picky unlike my chocolate only child

I made three pumpkin pies -- one of the rare times that I bake anything. Tomorrow morning I'll make coffee cake.

This week I made chocolate pudding that calls for just egg yolks so made meringues with the egg whites...added some orange food coloring.

Also made leaf cookies with a swirl design, an apple pie and a fruit tart from scratch.

Tried to bake a pecan pie for the first time ever. No go. I wound up with only 2 eggs (called for 3), and it turned out terribly. We didn't buy eggs yesterday cause we had 11 in a fairly new dozen tin. But we used 8 for breakfast burritos, one in the corn casserole and had 2 left for the pie. It was awful. Just threw it out, lol. We also baked green bean casserole as part of the Thanksgiving dinner.

Pilsbury Orange Rolls. An acquaintance told me about a trick to make the "puff up." You drizzle (or brush) heavy cream on the rolls before you bake them. I didn't have any heavy cream but I had coconut cream and it worked great. They were the fluffiest cinnamon rolls I have ever made.

Apple pie! DH peeled and sliced the apples. It was the best pie I’ve made in awhile!
