Disney Dudes: Recommend me a ... "man bag"!

My hubster needs an alternative to a backpack for use whilst touring the parks, preferably one that won't lose him any man-cred.

Open to any and all purse ... I mean "man bag" suggestions! Thanks in advance.

I'm thinking something along the lines of a small, messenger-type bag. The reason we're foregoing a backpack is the back-sweat factor. Major back-sweat going on with the backpack option.

I have one...USED to have a Tactical Diaper Replacement Kit patch on it...has this patch on it now (Tactical Trunk Monkey)

No one dares call it a man purse...;)

I just picked up lightwight backpack from LL Bean. My little guy needs an epipen and always need lotion for park days. I've worn it biking and no sweat.

We like the LLBean Touring bag. I think it comes in two sizes, the larger is what we have used for a diaper bag, its a good size. It can be used over the shoulder or as a messenger and comes in solid colors.

My husband was a little hesitant, but did end up wearing the LLbean Healthy Back touring bag. I did get it in black instead of the pretty blue!

Thanks to everyone for the suggestions! Had a look through all of them (because, well, it's almost like shopping for a new bag for myself). ;)

Decided to go for a cheaper version of the one posted by DisneyFed. Thanks! :thumbsup2 It's called the UTG Multi-Functional Tactical Messenger Bag. :lmao: For some reason, when I say that the "Mission Impossible" theme starts playing in my head.

Ah yes, that is an acceptable substitute:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

No problem---at least you got one guy to chime in:rotfl2::rotfl2:

(I say this because I REFUSE to wear the paisley, flowered backpack my wife insisted on buying---it's too small anyway:lmao:)

Yeah, seems many of you lot don't want to own up to wearing bags.

Cheers for the pic and rec. Definitely not a man purse. How does yours fare in the rain, by the way?

Hope that UTG isn't too much of a downgrade; didn't want to plonk down the dosh on the nicer one as I have a sneaky feeling it'll only be used for our Disney jaunt. I did notice it had a shoulder pad thingie which might make it more comfortable when I start cramming all my junk in there for him to carry. :lmao:

Ah, no paisley with flowers?! But that sounds extremely macho!

Hah....very very macho...my wife told me that I would appear comfortable with my manhood:flower3: I pretty much just totally ignored that:lmao::lmao:

Mine has a waterproof liner on the inside with a drawstring and remains pretty waterproof--it's designed for any weather environment, and I'd imagine the UTG version is similar...

The only downgrade would probably be from a "use and abuse" perspective, but for one trip it shouldn't be an issue...

Ok now I feel bad. I make DH use a Fanny Pack:lmao: But most the stuff is his. All i take is my Key Card, lip balm cell phone & Gum. He has his camera, batteries, Cereal Bars, Coins for pressed pennies cell phone.

Cruel and unusual punishment:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

I actually don't really like a lot of the girly bags. I do have a Dad Gear (the Oklahoma University Messenger) bag, and I really like it, but it gets very heavy when loaded down.

My hubby used a fanny-pack from Cabella's hunting section. Worked like a charm and we didn't use all the space he had :)

So, the hubster's pur*ahem* ... "UTG tactical gear bag" arrived today. I have to say, I'm quite impressed with its plethora of pockets, sturdy zippers and padded shoulder strap. Perfect size too, not too big. If it didn't look so manly, I'd have swapped out my new Baggalini for one.

I love the look of that bag!! It's great! I'm going to have to check out that website. Does the bag go over a shoulder, or around the waist?
